Here are some great dramas that will air for the month of October.

October is here which means another month of great Korean dramas to air.

As we all know, Lee Min Ho is returning with a great drama series titled "The Heirs." October 9th is the scheduled date on when it will begin airing.

Included for the month of October are two more possibly great dramas which will be "Medical Top Team" and "Marry Him if You Dare." Both of these will also air in South Korea beginning early on the month of October.

So with this being said, here is some information on what these two dramas synopsis will be about. As well as who the main casts will be on these dramas.

Medical Top Team

Medical Top Team is a drama series that is written by Yoon Kyung-ah and directed by Kim Do-hoon. This drama will be medical romance genre and the days on when it will air are Wednesday and Thursday at 22:00 (KST) which will begin October 9, 2013.

Synopsis

This drama will be about an elite medical team which chooses only the best and brightest doctors from each field. They hire doctors who want to fight to make miracles happen as well as fighting their way amidst a power struggle that is impacting the hospital. Even in such high-tension work environment, love lines will develop. This battle of love/conflict as the main backdrop of the drama, main characters will be fighting to find a balance between the two.

The drama will center around Paran's Hospital's unpaid doctor Park Tae San who is a skilled medical surgeon with a warm heart; though straightforward to a fault. Park is doing good deeds as well as working at a free medical office for those that are in need. He is also a cancer specialist for the team.

The two medical dramas "Good Doctor" and "Medical Top Team" won't compete with each other for a time slot, but that doesn't mean viewers won't compare them.

There are differences. "Good Doctor" is shot at Sung Won University Hospital and "Medical Top Team" will be filmed a Severence Hospital in Sinchon. "Good Doctor" has Joo Won playing a genius doctor with autism spectrum disorder. He works in a supportive team. "Medical Top Team " will have a genius surgeon who belongs to a highly competitive team of top experts.

Despite the differences, "Medical Top Team" star Kwon Sang Woo says that he cannot watch "Good Doctor."

"I'm jealous," he said of the viewer ratings that "Good Doctor" achieved. "But I'm sure we can do better.

He says he hopes that "Medical Top Team" will reach a target of 42.8 percent in viewer ratings and that a show cannot truly be called a drama unless it reaches 30 percent. "Good Doctor" recently cleared 20 percent in its ratings.

For those who like medical dramas, the show's trailer demonstrates that "Medical Top Team" will offer plenty of exciting emergencies and challenging life and death situations.

Kwon plays genius surgeon Park Tae Shin. While Joo Won found it difficult to portray the savant aspects of his character, Kwon says one of the biggest challenges is having to use medical jargon.

"I get nervous when I am pronouncing the words in the script and that causes a lot of mistakes," said Kwon, who appeared in "Queen of Ambition" and "Dae Mul." "But that is helping me as an actor because I won't give up until I am satisfied I have done it right."

Helping him to face those challenges is his co-star Jung Ryeo Won, who previously appeared in "My Lovely Kim Sam Soon" and "The King of Dramas." The two worked in the film "Pained."

"It's so much more comfortable on set than it would be if I was working with an actress that I didn't know," said Kwon. "Jung Ryeo Won is so kind and sensible. She listens to other's opinions, which makes communication so much easier.

Jung Ryeo Won plays Seo Joo Young, an ambitious thoracic surgeon. Also in the drama are SHINee's Minho, Oh Yeon Seo, Joo Ji Hoon, Kim Young Ae, Ahn Nae Sang, Kim Ki Bang and Alex.

Kim Di Hoon, who directed "The Moon Embracing The Sun," is the director.

The drama begins on Oct. 9 after the end of "Two Weeks."

[EXCLUSIVE] SHINee’s Minho stars as a thoracic surgeon on Medical Top Team!

The press conference of MBC’s new Wednesday and Thursday drama Medical Top Team was held on Sept 24 at the Severance Hospital in Shinchon-dong, Seoul. This was the first time in Korea, that a specific hospital agreed to cooperate and provide direct consultation for the making of a drama, which is one of the reasons why the press conference was held at the Severance Hospital.

It is a medical drama about a process of organizing the best medical dream team from the department of surgery, internal medicine, thoracic surgery, anesthesiology, and radiology. The officials of the drama mentioned at the press conference that in reality, such team does not exist in Korea.

 

 

Minho of the boy group SHINee plays Kim Seong Woo, the youngest character in the team, who is majoring in thoracic surgery. He said, “It’s an honor to be able to work with such a great director, writer, and actors. As I studied by watching domestic and international medical dramas I felt that this wasn’t going to be an easy role. I had to observe the actual operation and study medical terms and analyse why the patients were sick. But most of all, I liked pushing myself to experience and learn something new and foreign.”

 

 

When asked about any hardships during the shooting he said, “We use actual animal organs so after a few days of shooting, they began to rot and the smell is quite foul.”

In the drama, the top team deals with cases of difficult surgeries and rare diseases with a success rate that’s lower than 50%. The drama also plans to deal with the issue of providing VIP services to certain privileged patients.

 

 

The drama has a solid cast of Kwon Sang-woo as Park Tae-shin, Jung Ryeo-won as Seo Joo-young, Ju Ji-hoon as Han Seung-jae, and Oh Yeon-seo as Choi Ah-jin. This will be Minho’s second try at acting in 10 months, since he appeared in the SBS drama To the Beautiful You, which ended last October.

 

 

Medical Top Team is directed by producer Kim Do-hoon, whose previous work Moon Embracing the Sun, which achieved a viewership rating of over 40% last year.

Medical Top Team will premiere on Oct 9 at 2200 (GMT +9) as a follow-up of Two Weeks.

Thanks for the relationship chart translation.It seems that JJH is having blue arrows around him everywhere except for his love towards JRW, and that seems one-sided!
If only he's the 1st lead, I'm pretty confident that JRW's presence would make his life happier, but then he's not so what is the chance for him to get a happy ending in his love life. *sighs*
but am still looking forward for the main characters interaction. Not so keen on medical dramas, but the casts are great!

and I will be camping here every Wed/Thurs that I promise. hope there will be someone/kind soul who will do live recap here. it's fun to watch live and raw. been waiting for this drama. Wed/Thurs is a battlefield for 3 dramas, Secret, Heirs and MTT. Secret already started last week and it has a solid story line so far, interesting, i am also watching it, but MTT will bring another plot so different from those two. Heirs will surely be anticipated by many. But i think the rivalry in MTT will bring it to a different mature level.
