Korean actor Lee Sang Yun has joined the cast of an upcoming historical drama alongside actress Moon Geun Young.

Lee Sang Yun and Moon Geun Young have been cast to play the main characters in the MBC Monday and Tuesday drama "Goddess of Fire, Jung [working title, translated title]."

"Goddess of Fire, Jung [working title, translated title]" will be on the air in the time slot which currently belongs to "The Gu Family".

Lee Sang Yun will play the Lord Gwanghae of Joseon who becomes a King of Joseon dynasty, but he is someone who can't relax or be comfortable because of the various threats to his crown. Even though the threats are near his person, he is always full of love for one woman.

Moon Geun Young will play a Joseon dynasty master potter who is respected and admired by other potters. She will play the title role "Yu Jung" who is devoted to the art of pottery.

Moon Geun Young is focusing on analysing her character and is currently said to be practicing pottery making. Since this is her first time acting as a potter, she is trying her best to express the perfect image of potter, according to various Korean media outlets' reports.

The Korean public is showing a high level of interest on how the two will portray the life of the Lord Gwanghae and also the love story in the drama with many Internet users posting expectant comments about the upcoming drama.

MBC Moday and Tuesday drama "Goddess of Fire, Jung [working title, translated title]" will start to air in July as the follow-up to "The Gu Family."

Is Lee Sang Yoon's character the lead male? I've read on some sites that he might be more of a Daddy Long Legs to her character.... and that there is going to be a younger Japanese character as her love interest?

In the upcoming episode of SBS TV ‘Running Man’ on April 21st, actress Lee Bo Young and actor Lee Sang Yoon will appear as guests and show viewers another side of their charms.

Lee Sang Yoon once acted as the first love of Song Ji Hyo in a movie, and Song Ji Hyo lavished praise on him by saying he still looked as handsome as before and had great athletic ability. This however led to jealousy emanating from Gary, who was Ji Hyo’s Monday couple partner on the show.

Lee Bo Young was very engrossed with the games, and expressed a strong desire to win. Kim Jong Kook who is also well-known for his desire to win, gave her the nickname of ‘Coach Lee from Athletics Village’. After being put together with Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Jong Kook in a group, Lee Bo Young decided to put Yoo Jae Suk through high intensity training to ensure that they would win the games. Yoo Jae Suk eventually erupted and bemoaned that he wasn’t even an athlete in the first place, and left the other in much laughter.

As they reached their final destination, they would draw lots to determine who would be coupled up, and then try to evade those who didn’t manage to get couple up, and strive to become the best couple in ‘Running Man’.

This best couple race episode will air from 6:10PM (KST) on April 21st through SBS TV.
