image_readtop_2023_702761_16947405015626

Producer Na Young Seok’s upcoming highly-anticipated show "Soy Beans, Red Beans" is set to tickle your fancy.

Slated to premiere on October 13th at 8:40 PM KST,  "Soy Beans, Red Beans" boasts a dream team of celebrity BFFs: Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Woo Bin, Do Kyung Soo, and Kim Ki Bang, making it the talk of the town.

Designed as a light-hearted documentary series,"Soy Beans, Red Beans" spotlights the hilarity that ensues when close friends try their hand at farming. The show promises a raw and realistic look at the four best friends. While these four may be “farming newbies,” they bring a genuine passion for both crops and leisure, often losing track of time as they frolic away.

Lee Kwang Soo, the appointed leader in this rural adventure, seamlessly toggles between comic relief and earnest endeavor. Dubbed the “laughter cheat key,” he’s all set to spread his cheerful energy while also stepping up as a dependable problem solver.

Kim Woo Bin, the first to become a regular cast member of a TV show, emphasizes etiquette for the audience, going all out with his farm fashion. Sticking to a strict “understand first, act later” policy, his steadfast character promises fresh laughs.

The “golden maknae” Do Kyung Soo impresses with his intuitive understanding of his older pals, showcasing a knack for maximizing work efficiency and culinary talent. He’ll steal the limelight with his exceptional contributions. Kim Ki Bang is a natural-born farmer who skillfully navigates agricultural machinery. He passionately tends to the farm, setting an example for others and lightening the mood with his tender-hearted humor.

With a cast of uniquely inept farmers but tight-knit friends, "Soy Beans, Red Beans" has us all eager for its premiere.

*** The upcoming variety show of Kim Woo Bin reminds me of “Three Meals A Day” since this show seems to have the same concept. Accordingly, this show will air for two hours from 8:40 p.m. every Friday. It will compete with dramas that with the same broadcasting time. I hope this will do well, rating-wise.   :kicks:

*** While waiting for his upcoming variety show, remember this iconic scene where Park Hyung Sik turned into Kim Woo Bin's younger sister in "The Heirs?" Yes, he became his sister in the drama. This was one scene that never fails to put a smile on my face. They displayed their playful banter in the drama. While the reporters were waiting for Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho), they stopped Choi Young Do and Jo Myung Soo who entered the school to ask them some questions. Jo Myung Soo quickly grabbed their attention, asking them to pose for his camera. The reporters asked Choi Young Do, who he was. This hilarious scene is imprinted in my mind.   :Megalol:    :kaching3:

Watch: Lee Kwang Soo, EXO’s D.O., Kim Woo Bin, And Kim Ki Bang Are Chaotic Rookie Farmers In Teaser For New Variety Show

Watch: Lee Kwang Soo, EXO’s D.O., Kim Woo Bin, And Kim Ki Bang Are Chaotic Rookie Farmers In Teaser For New Variety Show

Lee Kwang Soo, EXO’s D.O., Kim Woo Bin, and Kim Ki Bang’s new variety show “You Reap What You Sow” (idiomatic translation) has unveiled fun new teaser and posters!

Produced by producing director (PD) Na Young Suk, “You Reap What You Sow” adopts a lighthearted documentary style as it follows its four stars on a farming adventure in the countryside. As none of the four men know much about farming, their collective inexperience leads to a string of humorous mishaps as they take on the challenge of plowing a small field together.

On September 25, the show unveiled two new posters with its tagline, “A Comic Documentary of Real Besties’ Facation (Farming Vacation).” The first poster charmingly showcases Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Woo Bin, D.O., and Kim Ki Bang donned in rural attire, striking hilariously awkward poses and expressions that promise laughter. The second poster, set against the scenic farm backdrop, captures the cast’s genuine smiles, piquing curiosity about the journey and growth story of these four novice farmers.

The accompanying teaser video provides a sneak peek into the quartet’s comedic farm life as they navigate unfamiliar terrain. Despite grappling with challenging farm tasks on a vast 500-pyeong (approximately 17,792 square feet) field, the four friends display lively chemistry, building anticipation for the show’s premiere. The teaser kicks off with D.O. and Lee Kwang Soo celebrating what appears to be their first harvest and goes on to feature chaotic moments of their farming struggles, concluding with D.O.’s culinary skills and mouth-watering mukbang scenes.

Adding to the humor, a moment captured on CCTV featuring a water deer leads to an amusing reaction from Lee Kwang Soo. He hilariously exclaims, “I feel a sense of accomplishment. It feels like the water deer acknowledged [our field] as a legit farm,” as he shares a high-five with Kim Woo Bin. Their enthusiasm even drives them to consider planting more crops for the water deer, adding to the anticipation of their unconventional rural adventures.

@backstreetboysfan  the poster looks like a comical variety show. My anticipation is at an all-time high, at least, Kim Woo Bin can learn everything about farming here. I love the 1st poster where all four of them are sitting in their countryside outfits, hands on each other's shoulders. The subtitle said, "Close Friends Facation". Here Facation meant Farming Vacation. The Hyung Squad will be getting real in the field of agriculture. All four members who have zero knowledge will get into the fields to live as farmers in the countryside. The show will air on tvN and TVING.   :hooray2:

*** Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Woo Bin shared what it was like to shoot 'Unexpected Business 2' with Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung, who are their friends. They were guests on the show's second season. Lee Kwang Soo said, "They are really nice people, but it felt a bit suffocating to work with them in 'Unexpected Business 2'." We are very close, but I'd be lying if I said I was completely at ease recording the show with them. However, Kim Woo Bin gave an entirely different answer to the question to embarrass Lee Kwang Soo. He said, "Well, they are close friends of mine, so I didn't feel that way at all. I had no idea Lee Kwang Soo felt so uncomfortable around them until this moment.", he joked, "It is shocking."   :kisslevel:

The second part of director Choi Dong-hoon’s fantasy film “Alienoid” will be released in January next year, distributor CJ ENM announced Thursday.

“Alienoid” tells the story of gurus from the late Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392) who try to obtain a fabled, holy sword, and humans in the present day who hunt down an alien prisoner locked inside a human body. A time-traveling portal opens up, allowing the two groups to collide.

“Alienoid” boasts an all-star cast, with Kim Woo-bin, Kim Tae-ri, Ryu Jun-yeol, So Ji-sub, Jeon Yeo-been, Lee Ha-nee and more. The first part of the film, which was released in theaters in July last year, attracted only about 1.54 million viewers.

*** According to OSEN’s report on October 31st, Cha Tae-hyun recently finished recording his guest appearance on tvN’s entertainment program “GBRB Reap What You Sow”. Earlier, Lee Kwang-soo and Kim Woo-bin also showed up on the reality show “Unexpected Business” to help Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung run a mart. What about Jo In Sung, I guess he's busy. It would be much funnier if the two came together.   :kaching3:
