country_pumpkin
I started watching this show 2 days ago, finished 12 eps in 2 days. And I want to claim say: "This drama is AWESOME!". For sure!. First, the story line is completely different from many others where the leader is the representative for the good, fighting against his opponents. Lee Cha Don himself is a corrupt prosecutor who is depraved by the power and money. But the way KJH portrays LCD failed to make me hate him. Not too tense and crazy, but cool and hilarious enough.Second, there is no objection by the adults to the relationship btw the male and female leaders. You know, Jae In's mom ships her daughter and Cha Don, at least until now.Third, the present real life is portrayed vividly in this show where human is so seduced by the power of money that they did the wrongdoings. The drama's title says it of out. You see, from the beginning of this show, money and ambitions are the root of all the conflicts, delusion, and betrayal. OMG! Hardly does some one can resist the attraction of of money. And this show is the combination of tense and funny scenes that makes the drama itself not boring at all. That's why I've blown away with IOM. Hope you guys love it too.
Arishia
I usually just lurk around Soompi, but thought I'd post something, even though I don't have much to say, because this show doesn't get many comments. I'm loving the show and read here each week to see what others have to say. One of the things I like best about IoM is that it moves along at a brisk pace, and manages to keep the long term story lines interesting. The characters are all likeable, even with their character flaws and conflicts with other characters that I also like. Some of the humor is just hilarious, like the Empress of Korea bit and manager's '6yr old' custodian act. They manage to blend the funny with the drama so well. I always look forward to watching it, more so than some other dramas. Madam Bok is one of my favorite characters. She's down to earth and classy at the same time, and has so much compassion mixed with realism. She's basically a loan shark, but I'd adopt her as my Mom any day. nobuyukijohnson
History of a salary man is good 'Salaryman' is a comedy and again, it's about money and corrupt business and politics etc. It's funnier than 'Incarnation of Money' and a lot better. It's my favorite of the 3. There is nothing and nobody in there I don't love. I think youre right about it being better than iom. Im loving thIs show. Hannahmiriam
@pechumori Thanks for the info. So our kid is a grown up now. @nobuyukijohnson I loved History of a Salaryman. I liked the story, the characters, the actors... well, you got the point. I've also liked Giant but, as @Orion said, History of the Salaryman is also my favorite - except for the beginning. Giant is not as funny, and IOM is somewhere between the two. I'm sure you'd also like Giant. At least 6 characters from IOM were also in Giant.About these three dramas being realistic... I think they are far from that, but that's why I enjoy them. Where in the world would you find characters like our leads?!

Hannahmiriam
Oups! Sorry, I meant actors. Thanks, @Orion fortelling me. I wasn't thinking about the characters, but the actors. About the realistic side of the story... I don't really want to argue, but I've never seen somebody like some of the characters. What are the chances of meeting somebody like Baek Yeo Chi or Yoo Bang in real life? Or the chances of discovering the "everlasting youthfulness drug", or having your sister fall in love with the son of the guy who killed your father, or for you to fall in love with the daughter of the other guy who was there when you father was killed? Not to talk about Jae In or CD. What are the chances of meeting a guy who is both smart and hilarious in real life? And he is not funny because he is making good jokes, but because sometimes he is ridiculous. And how could somebody like Yang Goo Shik work in the prosecutor's office? But what I think they showed really good is the fact that nobody is 100% good or 100% bad. CD is not 100% good, in fact, he is more bad than good, and JSK is not 100% bad. Maybe they also wanted to show us that nobody is 100% smart, so CD is sometimes ridiculous. (not that I'm complaining).
