On July 7, actress Ha Ji-won and actor Gong Yoo were appointed as ambassadors of taxes and attended the '2014 TaxPayer ambassador appointment ceremony' held at National Tax Service building in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The two actors will be participating in various promotional activities for fair taxes for two years.

Ha Ji-won, Gong Yoo Named Tax Service Ambassadors

Actors Ha Ji-won and Gong Yoo were named promotional ambassadors for the National Tax Service, the tax authority said on Monday.

The NTS said that it chose the two as they are exemplary taxpayers and also active in charity work. They received presidential commendations for having paid their taxes faithfully in March.

Ha and Gong said that they will do their best to be positive examples as ambassadors for the NTS.

For the next two years, they will model for promotional posters and take part in street campaigns that encourage honest tax payment in support of the NTS.

(Then the list goes on to introduce the cast, MC Chiyako, and Mina-chan).

EDIT:  In addition, on 13 July 2014 at 10:57 PM KST, a short 3-minute “preview” of “Empress Ki” will be shown on BS-TV, which will introduce the characters and “preview the charm of a history drama that recorded a nearly 30 percent audience rating in South Korea.”  Can’t wait!!!
