Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying this drama but I'm really picky with the subtitles. I want them to be understandable. I was wondering where I can buy this drama with good English subtitles. I was looking at some on eBay, and the seller's state that they have "no control" over the subtitles and I thought those were too risky to buy. But I don't want to spend $170 on the whole box set version too. Hope you guys can help me! I finished this drama already but I love it too much so I decided to buy it. :)

From what I know, TPM lover, who got the DVD, bought the box set version. Some posted in this thread many pages back that subtitles are understandable & acceptable. But if you don't want to buy it. You can download all eps & sub files from the link posted in the thread (it's not in the same page though so you have to find all 24 eps.)

I think what they sell on eBay they also download it from these link too. I haven't bought the DVD box version myself but I plan to after some saving so I recommend you to buy it which you will get other goodies from DVD director cut.

LOL I feel that I didn't help you at all.

Hi girls...*waves*...

I haven't been here for a long time...shame on me...no, that's not right, I do read all of your entries but barely have time to answer... ^^;

To answer your question Starlitelet: even if you find the pages, it has no use, cause they are all dead due to Megaupload's closing...
I found a page that has an alternative link and the torrents:

http://kpopella.org/2012/04/04/the-princess-man-2/

It has the links to the other dramas as well, so quite a helpful and great site...

Hope it helps...I still enjoy my TPM dose once a while... :D

Hi gals!
If you're still obsessed or want another go at a great drama like this one, I highly recommend Bridal Mask. I haven't been feeling this excited for a well-organized drama since The Princess's Man! They're both similar on many aspects. Despite their time period differences (Bridal Mask is set in the 1930s where the Koreans are under the Japanese rules), the male protagonists face similar issues/problems. Both try to seek individuality and avenge their loved ones. The female characters are also alike in the sense that they're strong and kicka**. They are indeed unconventional characters for women set in those time periods. Bridal Mask and The Princess's Man consist of cliffhangers at the end of every episode. There is constant suspense in both dramas. The division b/w drama, action, politics, and love are also mixed very well together. Both of them also have a masked vigilante as well for the most part.
It's better if you come into Bridal Mask not knowing a lot at all!

@Starlitelit: I might give that drama a try now that you recommended it. It's summer vacation for me, and I need something good to watch. I've been soo obsessed with The Princess' Man. I'm always watching fanmade music videos of it.

@jenny_vaj: I totally understand your love for The Princess's Man. I was on it's tail for around 3 months after finishing it. I seriously replayed all the fan made videos on yt constantly. I even stalked people on Google that had The Princess's Man mentioned in it ;). I'm still pretty much in love with it, but luckily, Bridal Mask is able to tug onto me. Truthfully, at the rate the drama is going, I might be as addicted to it as I was once addicted with The Princess's Man or even more :o!

@Starlitelet: Lmao. Omg! That's soo funny, thanks for the recommendation I'll watch it now! :D I still need to finish Moon that embraces the sun though. And I've become soo obsessed with The Princess' Man that my sisters hate it whenever I talk about it.

Hi, everyone!

If you don't mind I have another recommendation: Queen In Hyun's Man.
It's a different genre but also a full package of things I want to see in a good drama. Well-written, non-cliché, funny, intelligent story with a smart and charming male lead who is not a jerk (but a player, hahaha), and a not-so-smart, easy-going, adorable female lead.
You might find the first 2 episodes not so captivating (for me it was!) but be patient. After that you won't stop, believe me. The chemistry between the two leads is just... perfect. (Also, I haven't seen before a kdrama with soooo many sweet moments and kissing scenes, wow! :x Worth watching I tell you.)

QIHM is definitely the best in 2012 so far for me. (However my longest lasting addiction is still TPM)
:-h

@jenny_vaj: I'm sure if I do TPM marathon, I'll feel like I'm in love for the first time all over again ;). When I have no other good dramas to watch, I will surely do a marathon of it. Jeez, no life!
Is TMTETS good for you?

By the way, the first episode of BM might be a little odd (for me it was), but episode 2 was the kick-off for me. However, when I watched episode 1 again after waiting for the other ones to come out, I liked it a lot more. Perhaps, there were just too many characters for my brain to register/care for all of them. The slow motion captures were also hard to swallow at first - haha.
@VilaVilli: Oh, it's so good to read from you!!Thanks for the recommendation. I know a lot of TPM fans enjoyed QIHM, so maybe you can try that out as well jenny_vag (:I guess I'm in the minority. I didn't like it :$. In fact, I haven't finished watching it - haha. I put it on halt at episode 6.

@liaahx: Yay (:
The Bridal Mask story is actually darker and more twisted/conflicted than The Princess's Man. Surprisingly, they're not afraid to take risks when it comes to our beloved characters and their story arcs. I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I finish an episode, I feel like my heart weighs an extra ton. I'm so emotionally drained.
