Dal Shabet gave customized Valentine’s Day chocolates to their seniors

Girl group Dal Shabet lived up to their ’sweet’ reputation when they prepared their own customized chocolates for Valentine’s Day, and then handed them out to their industry seniors during last week’s “Inkigayo“.

With Valentine’s Day quickly coming up, the girls decided to get celebrate the holiday by making chocolate gifts for their sunbaes, other singers, and staff members of “Inkigayo.”

Despite their busy schedule, each member painstakenly crafted and designed the packaging for the gifts, adding their own flavor and charm.

Member Ah Young revealed, “Since it’s only been around a month since we’ve debuted, we decided to thank all our sunbae singers who have helped us so much. “

Dal Shabet support “Pink Wings” in “Vogue Girl”

Rookie girl group Dal Shabet participated in their first ever photoshoot through Vogue Girl’s “Pink Wings” campaign. The campaign was created in support of female child breadwinners living in difficult conditions.

Unlike the cute image the girls have been showing off on stage, Dal Shabet transformed into romantic goddesses for the photoshoot with the natural talent of a true model, especially since members Ga Eun and Subin have previous modeling experience.

After completing the shoot, the members commented, “This is especially meaningful for us in that it’s our first photoshoot since our debut, and we’re also helping the less fortunate. We’re thankful that we’re able to participate in such a good cause, and we’ve done our best to do our part.”

Dal Shabet, Girl’s Day, INFINITE, & T-Max attend “SPICY COLOR” launching event

On February 21st, idol groups Dal Shabet, Girl’s Day, INFINITE, and T-Max attended SPA’s “SPICY COLOR” fashion launching event in Myungdong, Seoul.

“SPICY COLOR” is an experimental SPA brand that aims to cater to the ‘playsumer’ (play + consumer) base through the use of pop culture and fun, unique color concepts that are unseen in the brand’s standard lines.

Under three themes, “JOY,” “PLAY,” and “LOVE,” the brand expresses a ‘fun and joyful experience of a fashion playground’ with clothing and lifestyle products that draw inspiration from music, scents, and the emotions of pop art.

Dal Shabet’s Subin reveals an old photo of when she had chubby cheeks

“Giant baby” Dal Shabet’s Subin revealed some photos from her past.

On February 21st, the star uploaded a couple of photos onto her me2day and wrote, “This is when I was working as a model! In middle school, I traveled back and forth between Gwangju and Seoul to work as a model while studying. My chubby cheeks are about to explode in three seconds, please be careful.”

Subin was in her second year of middle school when these photos were taken, and like now, she had the height of 174cm. Subin’s adorable baby fat in her cheeks can also be noticed, as pointed out through her comment.

Meanwhile, Subin is currently promoting “Supa Dupa Diva” with her group, Dal Shabet.

Dal Shabet celebrates White Day in Men’s Health

Rookie girl group Dal Shabet’s White Day (a holiday in Korea that is dedicated to couples) pictorial will be released through next month’s issue of Men’s Health.

Their photoshoot title was “Dal Shabet’s White Day Project”, and their outfits, props, and the setting worked perfectly for their cute image. The girls are already welcoming summer with their outfits and looking quite funky with their hairstyles.

Dal Shabet to cameo in final episode of “Dream High”

Rookie girl group Dal Shabet will be making a surprise cameo appearance in the final episode of KBS’s “Dream High“!

They’ll be playing the role of Girin Arts High School students who support ‘Baek Hee’, and they’ve already finished recording their segment on February 27th at a set in Kyungki-do.

Afterwards, Jiyul commented, “It was an honor to be able to appear in such a popular drama. Since it’s a first drama appearance for all the members, we were kind of nervous but the staff members were so helpful, which made it a lot of fun.”

Dal Shabet’s Ga Eun admitted to the hospital for worsening knee injury

Due to her worsening knee injury, Dal Shabet’s Ga Eun was unable to represent the freshmen class of 2011 in the Seoul Arts College’s entrance ceremony.

Ga Eun was delegated to take the oath as a representative of the 2011 freshmen class during the matriculation ceremony on February 28th. The idol was admitted to the college as a broadcasting/entertainment major. However, due to her worsening knee injury from January, she was unable to stand on the podium that day. Therefore, another freshman was selected to take the stage.

A representative of Dal Shabet revealed,

“Ga Eun had a injury to her left knee in January, yet pushed through her activities. However, the condition has worsened. She has admitted to the hospital this afternoon. In the end, she was unable to take the stage at the entrance ceremony.”

Ga Eun was admitted to a hospital near Kangnam that day. Due to the exacerbated injury, she will not be taking part in Dal Shabet activities for some time, and so the group will continue their activities as a five-membered unit.

Dal Shabet promotes safe driving with “Traffic Safety Song” on Inkigayo

This week, Dal Shabet was chosen as the first artist to perform the “Traffic Safety Song,” which is a collaborative campaign between SBS’s “Inkigayo” and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority.

Produced by KIGGEN of HybRefine, the girls completed the recording for “Eco Drive” last month in an effort to support the environment and promote safe driving through endearing lyrics like, “Don’t depart, accelerate, and brake abruptly. Let’s all make sure we follow the rules of the traffic signal~”. Leader Viki also contributed to the creation of the rap in order to give more meaning to the campaign song.

Dal Shabet commented on their participation, “Despite being rookies, we’re glad to be able to participate in such a meaningful event. We hope that we’re able to aid in the promotion of safe driving with our campaign song and music video.”

Dal Shabet become honorary ambassadors for KFA’s weekend league

Rookie girl group Dal Shabet has been appointed as honorary ambassadors for the Korea Football Association’s elementary, junior, and high school weekend league.

The KFA had a small ceremony at the Shinmun-ro Football Hall on March 10th, where they revealed their new emblem and ambassadors. Each member received a uniform with their names on the back from Jo Joong Yeon, chairman of the KFA.

The girls will be holding a celebratory performance of the KFA’s new theme song for the opening game between Suwon High School versus Samil High School on April 2nd.

Leader Viki commented, “We, too, had to go through an arduous training process before we could realize our dreams of becoming singers. We feel honored to be able to aid in helping others make their dreams come true.”
