Baby love! A first glimpse of besotted father Orlando Bloom with his newborn son Flynn

In a picture of fatherly love, Orlando Bloom cradled his nearly three-week-old son Flynn close to his chest today in Los Angeles.

The new father looked besotted with the adorable little baby who was dressed in a cream bobble hat.

This is the first time the 34-year-old actor has been seen with his son who was born on January 6.

However, it seemed that Orlando's wife, Australian model Miranda Kerr was taking a well earned rest as the actor took a stroll around Will Rogers State Park in the Pacific Palisades area of the city.

Accompanied by Miranda's mother Therese Kerr, the actor initially held his son in a baby wrap carrier, before carrying him in his arms.

Flynn was first introduced to the world last week, in a natural picture of mother and son taken by the proud father himself.

The photo, posted on the model's organic skincare website, showed Miranda, 27, holding her son to her breast, her face make-up free and rosy.

She revealed that she didn't use any pain relief while giving birth to her larger than average baby, but admitted it was a 'long arduous and difficult labour'.

'He weighed 9lb 12 ounces (a very healthy and big baby boy)', Miranda wrote.

'I gave birth to him naturally; without any pain medication and it was a long, arduous and difficult labour, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it.

'I could not have done it without him.'

The Australian model's pride in her 'beautiful little son Flynn' was unmistakable, as she added: 'We are so happy and are enjoying our time together as a family. He is our little ray of sunshine.'

Miranda Kerr in awe of baby

MIRANDA Kerr is still amazed she is a mother.

The Victoria's Secret model and husband Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child, a son named Flynn, into the world earlier this month, and the Australian beauty admits she and her spouse are in awe of the tot.

She said: "Our little man is now 17 days old and we are still pinching ourselves as to the reality of having had a baby and of having brought this beautiful little soul into the world and a beautiful little soul he is."

Last week, Miranda, 27, posted a picture of herself breastfeeding Flynn onto her blog on beauty website KORA Organics and she admits she enjoys nursing the baby and plans to do so for as long as she can.

She wrote on her website: "The photo was one of the first photos Orlando took. We both loved it and we wanted to share it. The pleasant surprise was that it also had the added benefit of promoting breastfeeding which to me is the most natural thing in the world and I love it.

"I intend to breastfeed for as long as I can. My breast milk will give our little Flynn the nutrition he needs for his continued healthy development and to all mums out there I am sure you will make the right choice for you and your baby."

Miranda Kerr shows off her post-baby body on Saturday (February 12) in Los Angeles as she steps out in public for the first time since giving birth.

The 27-year-old Aussie model was joined by hubby Orlando Bloom and their newborn son, Flynn!

Orly carried Flynn in an Ergo baby carrier strapped to himself as Miranda chatted with her fellow Victoria’s Secret model and mom Alessandra Ambrosio.

Flynn is so precious and Miranda looks amazing!!

Orlando left the appointment holding his 1-month-old son. He then rode off on his motorcycle, while Miranda and Flynn drove separately in a car.

Well...he IS an actor, and she is a model/business-woman, so they might have separate places to go to afterwards. The fact that he did take off work to go to the doc with his wife and kids earned him kudos IMO.

They’re both huge fans of the fashion industry, and earlier today (March 3) Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom were spotted at Paris Fashion Week.

The Victoria’s Secret stunner looked magnificent as she arrived at the Balenciaga Ready to Wear Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 show.

From her svelte figure, it looks like Ms. Kerr has gotten herself back into top form after giving birth to her son Flynn.

Meanwhile, Orlando escorted his mother Sonia Constance Josephine to the Balenciaga gig as well, showing that he’s still a mama’s boy.
