I love how we get to hear something about the story here and there, but in the end who knows what is true or not.

I have seen this actor once in the movie Infernal Affairs and he wasn't bad, actually quite good.

It looks like a real friendly atmosphere! Can't wait to see Rain and LNY together soon.

July 16th, 2010 // by javabeans

photo113343.jpg

Daniel Henney is currently filming the upcoming action drama Runaway in Japan, and recently uploaded a photo of himself taken at a train station in Kyoto. The photo was posted to his Facebook page, with a note that he hasn’t been able to check his page frequently due to his shooting shooting, though he promised to try to keep the updates coming.

The production will also film in Tokyo and Osaka, then plans to travel to Asia, spending nearly two months overseas for location shooting. In addition to Henney, the cast includes Rain, Lee Na-young, Lee Jung-jin, and Yoon Jin-seo.

Runaway comes from the writer-director pair who did the hit action-sageuk series Chuno, and will premiere on KBS in September. It will be Daniel Henney’s first drama in four years, since he did the KBS series Spring Waltz, which starred Han Hyo-joo.

07.11.10 ’9 Ends 2 Outs’ stars Lee Jung Jin & Soo Ae make their comebacks this fall…on rivaling dramas!

8df41f34c30240_full.jpg?w=373&h=640

Lee Jung Jin & Park Soo Ae starred together in 9 Ends 2 Outs & April Kiss…now they will both be back on the small screen again this fall in competing action/spy/romance dramas! Soo Ae will be starring in the Iris spin-off Athena: Goddess of War (SBS) , and Lee Jung Jin will be starring in Fugitive (KBS2), both of which are highly anticipated dramas.

Athena: Goddess of War is about a terrorist group known as “Athena” and led by evil mastermind Son Hyuk threatens South Korea and the world. It is now up to special agent Lee Jung Woo of the National Security Agency to foil their terrifying conspiracy. Jo Soo Young, the daughter of the South Korean president, is kidnapped and hidden away in Italy. Jung Woo and his team are given the assignment to find her and bring her back.

Soo Ae will be playing ‘Yoon Hye-in’, the lead female character who is a double agent working for both the National Intelligence Service and as a spy for a secret organization.

Along with Soo Ae, Athena’s all star cast includes Jung Woo-Sung, Cha Seung-Won, Lee Ji-A, Kim Min-Jong & Choi Si Won (Super Junior).

Fugitive’s cast is just as (if not more) impressive as Athena’s! Starring alongside Lee Jung Jin is world star Rain, Lee Na Young, Daniel Henney, Sung Dong Il, Yoon Jin Seo, Takenaka Naoto, and that’s just to name a few!

Lee Jung Jin will play ‘Cheif Detective Do Soo’ who is chasing Rain’s character ‘Ji Woo’ in Fugitive. The latest synopsis reveals that during the Korean War a vast amount of money disappeared. Now, some 60 years later, the money has reappeared leading to a frantic chase.

Both of these dramas will also take place in many different locations…Fugitive will be filmed in Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Shanghai, and other major cities in Asia while Athena will be filmed in 6 different countries including Singapore, New Zealand and Japan.

You can thankfully catch Athena & Fugitive on different nights and on different stations this fall!

Athena is currently scheduled to be aired on Monday & Tuesday nights in November on SBS at 21:55 and Fugitive is set to air in September/October on Wednesday & Thursday nights on KBS2 at 21:55.** That’s quite an action packed week!** No premiere dates & episode numbers have been announced yet for either drama, so stayed tuned to Fugitive625 for the latest Fugitive news!

Rain left Korea end of June and who knows when he will be back home. This must be hard on him as we know how easily homesick he gets. But this time it's not far away from home and with his own country people (not like in Speed Racer or NA), so I guess it's ok.

18 Jul 2010 - Rain & Uehara Takako filming scene for Fugitive

rain-e0e119c8fe.png

According to a Japanese blog, Rain & Uehara Takako were filming a concert stage scene for ‘Fugitive’ late lastnight. Uehara Takako plays Kieko, who is a DIVA pop star, so this would explain the stage scene ^^. The blogger says that the filming took place AFTER one of Rain’s concerts in Japan, and a day after Uehara Takako’s concert, so surely they were both exhausted!

Here is the photo included with this brief report, it was seen near where the filming was taking place. If any official info or pics come in we will definitely post them, so stay tuned!

[Jul-19-2010] The ways of Rain, 'Lee Jung-Jin', and 'Lee Na-Young's escaping the heat during break time in the Runaway shooting.

5393d0b3c30a2cecffd319968b0d890f.jpg

Comic still cuts taken during break time of top star Rain, actor 'Lee Jung-Jin', and actress 'Lee Na-Young' currently shooting drama 'Runaway' in Japan's Osaka, have been released.

In the stills, Rain and 'Lee Jung-Jin' set ice packs on their hairs and cooled off, and tried to screen from the sun using a parasol, after a chase action scene in summer hot, which can soar above 30 degrees centigrade.

As you can guess, the set was said to be a very friendly mood, and Rain and 'Lee Jung-Jin' never lost their stylish figures even though the heat finished them off.

As Rain in all black clothing with dandy purely had a charming look in his eyes, while 'Lee Jung-Jin' showed an unpolished beauty, an exciting battle between the two main characters provides a tantalizing glimpse of what's coming in the drama.

It is said that 'Lee Na-Young' also never lost her smile to brave the hot weather, which cured all the staffs and casting members of their tiredness.

'Runaway' starring Rain is a tale that takes place, while a large sum of money which disappeared in 1950 on the Korean War reappears in 2010, 60 years have passed since then.

Rain and 'Lee Na-Young' will respectively act as 'Ji Woo' and 'Jiny' who are dragged into a mystery murder case regardless of their wills, and 'Lee Jung-Jin' has been cast as a detective who violently chases after the two.

Runaway, which is without doubt late 2010's most anticipated drama which has an all-star cast both at home and abroad, will be aired at the end of September through KBS 2TV.

bbly, he's expected to return to Korea mid-August unless schedule changes......... I don't think he'll get homesick since he's with his fellow K-actors this time.

he's practically living in japan then? xD

if he wants to make a quick trip back and forth, korea is only a 3-hour plane ride away. =P

even that seems very tiring. i'm sure he misses korean food a lot though! xD

btw, is run away a preproduction drama?

I think it's great that the cast visited Rain's conert.

@willenette: Mid-August? As you said, unless there aren't any more changes in schedule. I wonder if this is maybe the reason for the late Cloud membership and the announcement of the fan meeting this year as they don't know for how long Rain is to stay outside of Korea for the drama as it is not only Japan but also in China that it will be shot.
