With Yong's mom, after she read Hyun's letter and looked up at Yong...didn't she look really touched? like she almost wanted to cry?! and she even said "i'm so touched". i don't think it was the BGM that was making me delusional, her facial expression showed how very touched she was. Yong even looked freaked out and was like "wat is it?" and that's wen she said she was touched. a very precious moment. Something u normally wouldn't notice unless u look out for those things.

mmkay, my FAVE SCENE (this mite seem weird as a fave scene but i think some gogumas will agree!) It was when after Seohyun gave the gifts/letter she tells Yong "Thank you Yonghwa" and i was personally thinking "WAT the heck?! why's she thanking him, seohyun gave the gifts!!" and even yong looked surprised and was like "For what?" and then his mom said the sweetest thing that made me so happy "For marrying well" that's right, he married darn well! and i love his facial expression after that.

of course my fave scenes after were Yong feeding seohyun and then our Yongseo holding hands. and IDK WHY...but wen they had turned the corner and saw the ocean, when MC Kim was all "SAN FRANCISCO!" i totally laughed and loved that moment as well, as RANDOM as it was.

preview- can't wait to meet Yong's friends! one guy and one girl? possibly friends who are a couple? a double date? looking forward to it.

so what i find particularly fascinating about the latest episode is the way in which it was played out. barring s1 and adam (because i'm not sure if the in-law angle was used in the first season and because the adam couple never saw their respective in-laws), yongseo was a little bit more striking for me as far as this storyline goes. no offense meant toward the KT couple! i think the differences in culture that we saw between the two couples and the way the individual idols took to the experience definitely has a part in it, but what made yongseo stand out was likely because the whole experience was rooted in [korean] tradition, which probably made it a little more realistic than it was supposed to be.

suffice it to say, i did like the episode. i think there was something really sweet and raw about it.

anyway, behind the cut is just some thoughts i had while watching. it's not necessarily bad, and it doesn't try to put a realistic spin on anything (frankly, there was nothing to dissect in this episode in this regard), but it's just an observational thing.

it's this realism that has everyone in a fit of glee that makes me - well, a little unsettled. i think yongseo are grounded enough to know to compartmentalize the real world from filming - especially seo, who immerses herself in these new settings to learn from them - but it also makes me side-eye the situation just a little bit. or not side-eye, but i definitely worry to some extent because of what this show often perpetuates and, as viewers notice, WGM tends to increase the probability of blurred lines. basically, it's the mere potential this show has in affecting the participants that make me want to throttle the producers because of how easily it can play with the emotions. (and, in a way, with the viewers' emotions.)

for example, seo wanting to impress the MIL and be accepted is part and parcel of the whole "reality" experience, but it's just as easy for her to start believing that she needs to do this because she's married to yong ... when, in actuality, she's not. i mean, like i said, seo has a firm mind, and it's unlikely these thought processes are going to occur to her, but the possibility still exists. yong included.

ha, i don't know. something more for your mind to chew on if you're bored. it's quite unfinished, and i would've gone further and cited psych experiments just for fun, but my brain is ready to combust.

but yes, i did like the episode. i actually find it a little sad that yongseo aren't really dating (though some people would adamantly beg to differ) because they could get something going; they're already halfway there, after all. i'm just saying~

oh, and can someone clarify this for me? i think i read two translations, but this is regarding the conversation between yong and his mom while seo was in the bathroom:

in one translation, his mom tells him, "it's important that your personalities [mesh well], though." and in another, she says something along the lines of their personalities actually working well together. the first one is throwing me off because it suggests that she's advising her son that he should be with someone who has a similar personality, and thusly, that seo might not be the right fit, but the second one is obviously saying that they do work well. also, the first translation kind of contradicts what his mom said to seo about her not needing to change anything.

so, clarifications anybody?

OH! haha, and i remembered something i didn't like, though i'm hoping someone could clear this up for me too. i might be reading too much into the translation but ...

i was kind of put-off with the way yong said, "of course i'll be good to her because she's my wife."

lol, i wasn't sure how to take that because it sounded more like his feelings are out of obligation, which ... you know, obviously, i can't blame him. but it's still kind of weird that he said it.

If you follow the way the conversation goes since she ends it with I'm satisfied, I'd be more inclined to think that she said their personalities match well. We all obviously think they mesh well, 1 choding, 1 upright - they balance each other out. ohhhhhhhhhhhhh it makes me giggly inside lol.

This is 1 of scary show for me..

It include play with you feeling from what I can see here..

I've been watching this show from season 1 until now..

Only miss some of the end episode in season 1.

About this couple, we can see, sometime they really show their feeling for each other.

We see the comfortable level between them increasing every episode.

What will happen in the end of the show?

Will they become real??

We do hope so.

Since for Seohyun, this is her "1st relationship" with guy.

It happen to be a good guy that can lead & be @ the same level with her.

But what will happen if "nothing happen in the end"??

lovekin I think Yonghwa's "of course i'll be good to her because she's my wife" answer doesn't sound that bad if we're not going to think that they're a virtual couple and I would like to think that Yonghwa answered it without thinking they're on a make-believe set-up like he has the obligation to be good to his virtual wife because that how it's supposed to be. I think he answered it just like how people in real life answer when asked about their partners.... so I interpret it as "of course I'll be good to her because she's my wife(meaning I love her that's why I decided to marry her and become my wife hence I'll be good to her)" idk but that's how I'm trying to interpret what he said since it kind of threw me off too the first time I read the translation. Or maybe I'm the one thinking too much into the translation~ hing

I find one conversation interesting.

What does this two mean about finding the "cold and dark beach"? It was when they were walking down to the beach at the end.

Are they reminiscing the few times that they have been to the beach? I remember the first time was in Jeongdeongjin and it was pretty cold. The second time was after the goguma harvest and the beach was so dark, keke.

So, it was really nice that when they got to Busan, the weather was nice, the sky is clear and the day is bright on their visit to the beach. Seagulls are bonus...or rather not when they started attacking them.

hi everyone, just dropping by to say thanks to synykiss and also to others who shared raw videos, clearer version or the subbed version. My earier posts have thanked the translators and just want to say you are all DAEBAK! Here i smy POV. When I see Hyun bought red wine color scarf, I did not think it is coincident with Yong, in fact I believed she thought deep into this. To buy present for someone who you met only once, she is cautious in picking up the color. I recall the color that Yong's mum wore during CNBLUE concert was of that color tone. Hyun seriously put a lot of thinking and effort into this and I have no doubt she is the perfect DIL for any MIL. Lucky Yong to have her.. and Yong's mum is seriously getting prettier each time she appeared on screen... hahaha....

It's been so long since I last posted here (I never post often anyway). But this thread is always the one that could cheer me up everytime I have free time.

Yongseo couple has grown so much more comfortable with each other I can't stop smiling crazily everytime I watch them. They have come a long way together. Since they went to Japan together, they look more and more like a real couple. It's okay if I spazz about past episodes right?

When they pick gogumas together. My eyes went larger when Yong Hwa offered his hand and Seo Hyun grabbed it so easily. Afterwards he played with her fingers and they were so cute! And then at the beach, when he held her hand and put it inside his pocket. I died. I seriously screamed. He then showed his Experia dance, and had to let go of her hand. It amazed me how they held hands again so easily and Seo Hyun even reached for his hand!

I didn't know eating shrimps could be that romantic LOL. I was holding my breath through it all. It's crazy. I am crazy because of Yongseo I guess. There was zero awkwardness. When Hyun joked and stood up and looked at his face up side down I went dugeun dugeun. Did she know that it's a questionable position? Like they were going to kiss? I guess she didn't realize it because she only thought of the funny side. And Yong Hwa's "What?" after that was priceless.

When Hyun rearranged her clothes and Yong Hwa's eyes followed, I felt, "Uwaaah where did your eyes go?" hahaha. And when he sang the unfinished Banmal Song I thought, "Oh God, Jung Yong Hwa. You're so into this girl!".

The morning when they divided the gogumas were cute too. Especially when they looked at the digital camera. Btw, I want that camera too! It's so cool! It could project pictures on the walls! I want it, I want it. And they were sitting so close, body gluing to each other kekeke. Seo Hyun didn't feel awkward at all. And when he opened the pic where she wore her cute night gown. I can understand Yong Hwa wanting to see it. And Seo Hyun super shy about it. He said, "Oh how can anyone look so lovely?". I died again. MC Kim carried my feeling when he said, "Don't move from her!".

During the walk to Yong Hwa's apartment, I like how they hold hands again. I felt giddy when they wrote their song. I mean, it's Yong Hwa's bedroom!!!!! I know there must be crews around but really, Seo Hyun was in Yong Hwa's bedroom! Yong showing off his skills in front of Yong. He was so cool. And so naughty recording Hyun's laugh and screams. I bet he never delete it and kept it for personal reasons! Haha. Seo Hyun was so cute when she tried singing with random Japanese. Yong's jealousy to Min Hyuk was funny! I love it when Yong get jealous.

You must notice how they look at each other during that writing song moment. Yong's stares were so....intense. It's hard to fake how your eyes work, so I think it's genuine. I can't describe how he looked at Hyun at that moment. Maybe he realized that they were together in his bedroom, doing something he really loves. Making songs. A song about them, no less. His eyes look like....he wanted her so much. I don't know. That's what I think. I can't breathe looking at those stares he gave her. And Seo Hyun's eyes too. I think she looks like a girl who admired her lover so much.

He was silent when he read Hyun's lyric. I think he realized that it must be what she really felt, he must felt overwhelmed. Seo Hyun was a genius to be able to sing that song on first try. Like the MC, I felt goosebumps too. God, how more matching can they be? They fit each other perfectly!

He held her hands near the Han River and hold it close to his heart. And I died again when he blew at her hand to make it warm. It was obvious that he just wanted to piggyback her. Of course he wouldn't be able to catch that ring. And he looked so happy carrying her, though mockingly saying she was so heavy. And I want to squish Hyun and hugged her when she helplessly said, "Omma.....".

"What should I do to get into your heart?" and "Alright I decide it. You're already mine!". I don't get it. I think it was some kind of game? But he looked like he meant what he said.

The Banmal Video!!!! I read the news that they uploaded it in the morning and immediately jumped to my laptop. It was so cuuuuuuuuuuute!!!! I love love love that video. I watched it and refreshed it over and over again. It's amazing that it has reached 2,5 million plays. Goguma shippers are daebak!!! And when I was able to watch the behind the scenes, how Yong kept being flustered, how Hyun felt frustrated and leaned on his shoulder. Seo Hyun is getting sweeter and more adorable and definitely prettier by the day. Park Shin Hye telling Hyun how to win Yong's heart. Which Hyun seriously replied with : I see. And Jung Mo warning Yong not to make her cry and Yong seriously answered, I won't. Waaaaaaaaah!!!! I love this couple and how a lot of people seemed to want them to get together.

And the train ride. That was overflowed with sweetness!!!! Hyun was so adorable when she practiced satoori. And Yong gave her that glasses. I love how he randomly just wanted to give something to her, though it's not an occasion. And the whole, "I saw you once with glasses, reading at a bookshop. You wouldn't know me, I was still a trainee back then. I thought you were different from then on. I want to forget that, but I can't". I feel like....really? Is it possible? What does it mean? That he likes her since years ago? Well, maybe not like her like he is now. But I'm sure it left a deep impression for him. Because he still remembers it. I want to believe it's real. That he said it not because it's scripted. He remembered that she wore red glasses. For me, it's a very important confession. I mean, he clearly stated that she was special, right? That he saw her and could not forget her. And then they were paired up in WGM and......can I scream Unmyeong? Destiny?

How a pretty girl like Hyun could feel insecure when wearing glasses is beyond me. But she was so cute, like a child. And it also meant that she wanted to only look pretty in front of him, right? And Yong Hwa's "My eyes?" and she leaned close like that and-- geez, that's another heart stopping Yongseo moment. And Hyun leaned on his shoulder! Though Yong played like a choding again. I was shocked that Hyun agreed so easily, even moving his hand away for a comfortable position. She really feels comfortable with him now.

If I compare Seo Hyun in the recent Come To Play and Happy Together....She's so different when with Yong. At that show she was so prim and proper. Like the straight A's student that could never bend. It's the side of Hyun that will never change, I guess. She is very strict with her principles. She is very sure of her opinion and stubborn enough to defent it with anyone. But with Yong she's free, she's laughing and giggling, she playfully hit him, she had aegyo, she teased him, and etc. I guess it's the question of who she was with. Yong is maybe, one of the persons who could open her heart.

And I love how Yong's mom instantly held her hand when they met. I love how Yong looked so close to his mom. And the fact that she drove that car. I guess it is confirmed then that Yong Hwa came from a wealthy family? Hyun definitely tried to impress her mother in law and she succeeded of course.

The song, For First Time Lovers, immediately became the most played in my playlist. The lyric is soooo romantic. I believe it's his confession for her.

Other things :

Maknae Special! Hyun looked like a Goddess! Yong must be happy. And he did a great job as the MC this year. Out of the year end shows, my favorite of CN Blue was KBS. When there was a problem in Yong's mic but he handled it with ease and even turned the stage to a CN Blue concert.

And the part when Seo Hyun visited at CN Blue's concert last year! All the Gogumas that believed it when there was nothing but rumor about it are daebak. I loooove that scene!

I wish Yong and Hyun a brilliant 2011. Full of success. And of course, endless prayer that they will be together. If they are already together, then I hope they are strong enogh to continue what they have. Because it's so precious and not what everyone can have. I also pray that all the Goguma shippers could have a great 2011 too!

Lovekin - for as long as I've been watching WGM (since season 1), no one has described the show's premise as eloquently and accurately as you have here. My thoughts:

WGM is a show that very effectively manipulates the emotions of its participants and its viewers through using the possibility of blurred lines. This is one main reason for the show's success and addictive nature. I'm sure all participants approach the show as work and try to compartmentalize their feelings. But at certain points, the situation can just get too real. EVERY couple has said something to that extent during their confessions.

I think this is most obvious with MIL's reaction to the letter. She knows what this show is about and I think she clearly came intent on just "playing along." However, it's obvious she was really moved by Hyun's letter (teary even?). Couples' who have more experience filming the show are better at compartmentalizing, but MIL doesn't have that experience. All of a sudden, the situation got "a little too real" I think.

That is why the show has always made me a little uncomfortable. It's like little bit like Stockholm's where I know I'm being manipulated, the participants know they're being manipulated, but we want to like it anyway. Regardless, I'm always going to keep watching cause I like the premise and I want to see where this weird experiment leads. Besides, I'm waaaay too invested in the couples already. Long live YongSeo!

oh, and can someone clarify this for me? i think i read two translations, but this is regarding the conversation between yong and his mom while seo was in the bathroom:

in one translation, his mom tells him, "it's important that your personalities [mesh well], though." and in another, she says something along the lines of their personalities actually working well together. the first one is throwing me off because it suggests that she's advising her son that he should be with someone who has a similar personality, and thusly, that seo might not be the right fit, but the second one is obviously saying that they do work well. also, the first translation kind of contradicts what his mom said to seo about her not needing to change anything.

so, clarifications anybody?

I was just going to brush it off but lovekin noticed it and jnj commented on it so I want to reinforce the two particular moments that left me bothered:

1) What's the right translation of YM when she said to Yong that their personalities must match well? Or rather, given the the tone or how YM said it, what does she mean? With all due respect, I'm not questioning Dduk's translation. Translating is really complex since you have to consider the right cultural context and minding the person's character and his/her gestures and tone of voice.

2) When Yong said, "of course i'll be good to her because she's my wife" I was really bothered by that answer. Why is his reply like that? Was it because a) he's a guy, and a Busan one, and talking to his mom about his feelings is uncomfortable? it's the easier and obvious answer; this is just a show, why think so much of a good answer? c) it's just that. Period.

Maybe, a native speaker can shed light?

I know that maybe I'm thinking too much. That's why I want to brush these off. Because the more I think about every little thing, I get involve too much, hoping that they get together for real. Looking for clues, even with small gestures, makes me forget that these two people have their own private lives. My sister said that, just enjoy the show. What you read and see is just that. Don't analyze it. And I remember what Seohyun said in their site (not exactly like this):

Fan: I love watching WGM!

SH: Thank you for enjoying watching it since I also enjoy FILMING it.

Things I love at this epi:

Everyone is saying how Yong look at Hyun "lovingly" in this epi and how supportive Yong was. But for me, the confirming looks of Hyun makes me spazz more and the quiet conversations that pass between the two of them while YM is at the other side of the table. I don't know why but maybe because of the level of comfortability of Hyun towards Yong. Ex:

> Hyun softly saying to Yong that he should serve mother food first.

> When Hyun says "delicious" and looks at Yong. Even though she is focused on giving good impression to YM, she didn't forget Yong's presence.

> When Hyun requesting Yong to hand over the presents.

> When Hyun said that she buys him a lot of gifts.
