i think it won't be over 100 episodes like what Jang seo hee normally did...they would run out of cameos...

i also think that it would be better for this drama to be 16-24 episodes only...just hope that it will get good ratings so that others (foreigners) will also be interested in watching this great drama...i wasn't able to watch episode 5 and 6 yet...so im **again** anxiously waiting for the subs..ehehe...w8..subbers..dont push yourselves too much bec of my post **thanks subbers especially those in viikii! if only i can help, but my korean is only limited...i hope that others fansubs will take this.

I am not bad or smthin but i prefer dr. suh to have a miscarriage..instead of sangshik falling in love with her because of the baby...btw..sangshik acts like a gay and i think, in reality, no girl would fall for him bec he is too "perfect" and it is quite obvious that he likes babies ...er..pedophile..haha..just jokin..

the funniest part in this drama is when SPOILER ALERT: the husband goes in the room to collect semen and he says to his wife: " I can't let my cute wife wait for me while I'm doing "this" in the room..lol...and he asks the nurse if the video came from america...lol

i hope there are funny and touching scenes on the next episodes...can't wait!

LOL...I LOVE guys that are good with kids, so...Shangshik is mine?...:D

sorry, I think this drama should end with SS and HY, who keeps the baby to show that men in Korea are not that conservative and that they can be very loving and kind and broad-minded (not saying that they are the opposite).

and HY, please start wearing flat shoes! You should know that it is not healthy, especially when you are pregnant....I heard..:D

I really like this drama and I have been hooked since episode 1! They really have great story line and occasionally some humour to lighten up the atmosphere. Some how rather I find this drama reminds me of House without Dr House and his sarcasm but with more drama.

Honestly, I find this drama very realistic compare to other medical drama that I have watch.

in the synopsis ( I can't remember which one said it.. it's not dramawiki, it's somewhere else..) it said that jae suk or whatever that playboy doctor's name sees SangShik piggyback HaeYoung during her "abortion crisis" and tells HaeYoung's mother.. so I'm guessing this is it?

Do you guys think this is where it is? Oh boy. I wouldn't want to deal with an extravagant mother like hers...... ohdear.

What do you guys think happened to the baby? Okay? .. I can't tell what I'm hoping for. miscarriage or.. just safe baby? Oh GOD I don't know.

Did anyone else think that the scene in the other smaller clinic where HaeYoung sees SangShik with the pregnant lady ridiculously funny? I was having fits. It must have been so freaking embarrassing.

Episode 5: To Deal with Pain

CREDITS: SUHJISUK WEEBLY.COM

Hye Young goes home with sadness. She recalls that Suh Jin was her man who gave here encouragements when they worked together in a hospital. Now that she decides to abort his baby which makes her feel painful. She falls down in the snow and Sang Shik happens to see her on the ground.

Anesthesia Department Manager Shin controls the schedule of emergency rooms and the availability of Anesthesia. Recently, he gets off work to go home on time and therefore he sometimes rejects to doctors’ requests of anesthesia or epidural injections on patients.

After Manager Shin finishes an epidural injection on a VIP patient, he bumps into Jae Suk.

Jae Suk: You just finished an important task, right?

Manager Shin: I will die if I keep so busy here!

Jae Suk: Really?

Manager Shin: My wife is pregnant and she has bad temper recently. She asks me to get off work on time every day.

Jae Suk: Get off work on time…?

Kyung Woo: Hi, Dr. Shin, please give an epidural injection to a patient who is in pain now. Please just do it this time … please do it just one time …

Dr. Shin (answers to the phone call from his wife): Oh, it’s me…. where am I now?… I am at the parking now … I am leaving for home now … you want Mango sold at our neighborhood? … sure! I will buy some for you on my way home… (talk to Jae Suk and Kyung Woo) I am sorry, my wife is pregnant now which makes her really sensitive.

Kyung Woo: This patient really needs pain-killer injection; please go to do it this time. We haven’t had meals yet … please, please …

Dr. Shin: That’s your choice. You choose to be an OB&GYN doctor making you not able to eat well and get off work on time. Why do I choose to be an anesthesia doctor if I can’t eat well and get off work on time? You should understand us. 20 minutes have already passed. Thank you for your hard work!

Kyung Woo: Doctor ….

Jae Suk: Does he live by serving his wife?

OB & GYN Doctors are complaining about the emergency room scheduled by the Anesthesia Department.

Jae Suk: This is not the first day you work here.

Nurse Soo: Why don’t you OB & GYN doctors treat the doctors of the Anesthesia Department a meal to make agreements? Why do you guys bicker with each other all the time?

Dr. Jung: I would never treat them a meal again!

Kyung Woo: Anesthesia doctors complain to us that we requested emergency room and procedure even under non-emergency conditions.

A young girl San Yun is escorted by the policemen to the medical center due to being raped. Hye Young asks San Yun questions so that she could give her proper treatment. San Yun answers that she met a young man who let her stay in his house so that she went to that man’s home with him. Then, she is raped. San Yun says that she was driven out of her home and she hasn’t had a place to stay. She has been absent from the school. She has had sex a few times. Hye young prescribes some birth-control pill for San Yun.

The policemen informed San Yun’s parents to the medical center. Her parents seem to only care about if she got hurt badly.

A pregnant woman having breathing problem is sent by an ambulance to the medical center. In the emergency room, she has a heart arrest requiring CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resurrection). Kyung Woo couldn’t perform the CPR well, so Hye Young has to do it herself. Since Sang Shik knows that Hye Young is pregnant and he concerns about Hye Young using too much energy, he forcefully takes over the CPR for Hye Young. Hye Young also wants to perform the CT scan for this patient. Sang Shik wants to perform the CT scan for Hye Young. His over-the-boundary behavior makes Hye Young mad so that Hye Young asks Sang Shik to talk outside.

Outside of the emergency room, Sang Shik emotionally explains his behavior. He concerns that Hye Young uses too much energy on CPR, and he doesn’t want Hye Young to perform the CT scan because of radio radiation which may harm Hye Young’s baby. Hye Young accepts Sang Shik’s suggestion but at the same time she wants Sang Shik to leave her alone as well as not to treat her like a pregnant woman. Kyung Woo, Nurse Soo, Jae Suk, and other doctors witness the quarrel. Jae Suk wonders what happens between Hye Young and Sang Shik.

Hye Young visits another OB & GYN clinic so that she could have her baby aborted. She selects to have the abortion done on 2/20 (Saturday). The clinic tells her that she has to be accompanied by a guardian in case of emergency situation.

Kyung Woo’s marriage match-maker tells him that she would introduce the daughter of a very rich man to him. Kyung Woo’s mother has already turned down the first marriage arrangement so that Kyung Woo could marry this rich woman. Then Kyung Woo has to return all of the wedding gifts he bought for the first woman he was arranged to marry.

Hye Young is having fun with kids at the street. Jae Suk bumps into Hye Young and he invites her to have dinner together.

Jae Suk: You look tired. Why do you eat so little? This meal is expensive. You don’t eat much that makes me don’t feel good.

Hye Young: Could you exchange the on-duty date in the medical center with me?

Jae Suk: When?

Hye Young: 2/20 (Saturday).

Jae Suk: Exchange with me on Sunday?

Hye Young: No. You continue to be on-duty on both Saturday and Sunday. Then, I will do the on-duty days on both Saturday and Sunday next week.

Jae Suk: Huh .. Are you ordering me or asking me to do you a favor?

Hye Young: If you don’t want to, then I will call a temporary doctor.

Jae Suk: OK. OK. I’ll do it!

Hye Young: Thank you! I am treating you this meal.

Jae Suk: Yah! Do you think that my salary is that cheap?

Hye Young: Yes.

Jae Suk: Huh ..?

Sang Shik and Kyung Woo live in the same apartment unit. Kyung Woo tells Sang Shik that his mother turned down the first marriage arrangement and therefore he is not in a good mood. They go out to eat dinner together and see Suh Jin and the Chief Manager dine at a table not far away. Sang Shik seems to recall the he saw Suh Jin at Hye Young’s front door. Kyung Woo questions Sang Shik if Sang Shik is in love with Hye Young. Sang Shik denies.

Hye Young’s mother and elder sister visit Hye Young’s apartment for the first time. Hye Young’s mother doesn’t like the interior design of Hye Young’s apartment and she wants to change the interior design for Hye Young. Hye Young doesn’t want her mother to involve in her life style including the interior design.

In the emergency room, the anesthesia doctor complains about the OB & GYN Department’s treating every case as “emergency” even though the patient is smiling. Hye Young argues that they request an “emergency” room and procedure is based on the baby’s situation, not the mother’s condition.

In another room, Jae Suk is helping a patient to have her baby delivered naturally. He couldn’t fulfill the patient’s request for epidural or pain-killer injection because the busy schedule of the Anesthesia Department.

Young Mi asks for an early off the work.

Jae Suk: Where is she going?

Hye Young: You could follow her if you’d like to know.

Jae Suk: Don’t you want to know?

Hye Young: No! I don’t!

As a matter of fact, Young Mi is coming to the Pediatrics Department to take a look at the baby having Ichthyosis who was born 2 weeks ago (one of the twin baby in Episode 2).

San Yun visits Hye Young’s office again. This time her mother comes with her. Hye Young tells the mother that San Yun was raped. The mother asks Hye Young to issue a letter of diagnose so that they could ask for money from the family of the man who raped her daughter. Hye Young says that she could issue the letter only if San Yun agrees to get psychological treatment. San Yun agrees so that her mother could leave her alone.

In the café of the medical center, Hye Young’s mother asks Hye Young to give her the key to Hye Young’s apartment. Hey Young rejects her mother’s request.

Dr. Shin’s pregnant wife checks into the medical center due to false labor. She says that her husband is currently receiving trainings in the army reserve. That’s why she is alone at home.

Jae Suk (talk to Kyung Woo): You have to notify me when you are requested to arrange an epidural or pain-killer injection for her, OK?

Kyung Woo: Yes.

Young Mi: Hi, everyone!

Nurse Soo: Didn’t you already go home? Why are you here again?

Young Mi: Because I will have a party here tonight!

Jae Suk: Party? I like it! Will I be invited?

Young Mi: I plan to invite all people! Do you have time after work?

Jae Suk: Sure!

Young Mi: Doctor Ahn is also invited.

Jae Suk: Sigh ~ He is going to get married a few days later. Don’t you know the shyness of a bridegroom-to-be?

Young Mi: Will you also come, Nurse Soo?

Nurse Soo: I won’t attend unless I receive a formal invitation. I haven’t get my dress and stockings ready for this party. I am sorry!

Jae Suk: Gee! Haven’t you been wearing this suit 365 days a year?

Nurse Soo: So out-of-date!

Jae Suk (talk to Young Mi): Don’t worry! I’ll bring her to the party!

Dr. Shin’s wife is painful due to laboring and she screams asking for a pain-killer injection.

Kyung Woo: Dr. Wang. Dr. Shin’s wife requests a pain-killer injection. Do we call the Anesthesia department?

Jae Suk: OK.

Kyung Woo (makes a call): This is the 2nd year Resident Doctor Ahn Kyung Woo. Could you send someone to inject a pain-killer on a patient?

Kyung Woo: You are busy …. But …

Jae Suk (talks to the Anesthesia department): The patient couldn’t tolerate the pain probably because of her narrow pelvic. You’ve already done the surgery if she needs a surgery. Are you really lack of personnel? Sigh! Other peoples’ lives are lives too. I understand. Please send a doctor over when he is available.

Kyung Woo: As long as we tell them that this patient is Dr. Shin’s wife, they definitely will send a doctor over immediately.

Jae Suk: That’s why we couldn’t tell them.

Kyung Woo: If Doctor Shin knows that we don’t tell this fact to his department, he will get angry!

Jae Suk: We didn’t lie. We obviously called for a request.

Kyung Woo: You are right.

Jae Suk: Anyway, call them later. But, absolutely don’t mention that this patient is Dr. Shin’s wife. Understand?

Kyung Woo: Yes.

A moment later, there is still no anesthesia doctor available because they go out to have dinners. At this moment, Dr. Shin’s mother-in-law comes to accompany her daughter. Mrs. Shin is in great pain and she screams so loud that everyone could hear her. Her husband Dr. Shin finally arrives and he asks why no one gives his wife the pain-killer injection. Jae Suk comes into the labor room.

Dr. Shin: Dr. Wang, how could you do this?

Jae Suk: What about me?

Dr. Shin: How come you haven’t given my wife the pain-killer injection?

Jae Suk: I have requested 3 times. All the answers I’ve got were either the doctors were out to dinner or they were busy in other emergency cases. That’s why no doctor comes here yet!

Dr. Shin: Didn’t you tell them that the patient is my wife?!!

Jae Suk (asks Kyung Woo): Didn’t I tell them?

Kyung Woo: Ah! We forgot to tell them!

Jae Suk: Doctors can’t be partial to certain patients!

Dr. Shin: You bastard!!!

Dr. Shin’s wife pushes and screams hard, and finally her baby is born!!

At the nurse counter, Dr. Shin walks to Jae Suk.

Jae Suk: Congratulations! You baby looks nice!

Dr. Shin: You! You purposely didn’t tell my department that the patient is my wife, did you?

Jae Suk: I am not too smart! I forgot!

Dr. Shin: Thank you! My baby was born safely.

Jae Suk: I won’t forget next time when your 2nd son is born.

Dr. Shin: My 2nd son?... My 2nd son?! … you bastard!!

All OB & GYN doctors and nurses are invited to attend the party for the Ichthyosis baby. Unfortunately, he dies on this day, 2 weeks after he was born! The baby has been struggling to survive and bravely lived for 2 weeks. Later, his father comes with a video showing the happy family’s images. Then he is told that his son just passed away at 18:53pm. He couldn’t believe it and he finally painfully accepts the fact. He sincerely thanks Hye Young and Sabg Shik! He thanks his son who came to this world but left alone.

At the attic of the medical center, San Yun tells Hye Young that her parents only care about how to get lots of compensation money from the families of those men who raped her. Her parents have never cared about her. After her parents got the money, they spent it all. They don’t even want to use a little bit of the money to buy computer for her. San Yun keeps saying “I don’t feel pain. I don’t feel pain. I don’t feel pain at all!”

There are many ways to deal with pain. Pain-killers, anesthesia, paranoia, or brevity helps people to deal with pain. Hopefully, pain will stop someday.

This drama is amazing. This is a mixture of emotions: it is engaging, touching and, sometimes, even funny. The most importang thing is that it's seem to me so realistic. The OST is beautiful, the actors are fantastic, especially Lee Sang Shik,he's so sweet... I don't like Yoon Seo Jin,he's so cold and hatefully,i hope that he can not cause any problems for anyone.I hope that this drama has the success it deserves and has the highest ratings ever in every episode.

Sorry for my bad english,i'm italian... :P
