Lee Seo Jin and 2PM′s Taecyeon to Return to the Farm for ′Three Meals′

Lee Seo Jin and 2PM′s Taecyeon are heading back to Jeongseon. 
Lee Seo Jin′s agency rep told Newsen on April 17, "Lee Seo Jin will be going back to Jeongseon tomorrow (4/18) to film Three Meals. It will officially be the first filming." 
"Lee Seo Jin is preparing to restart his farming life and is waiting for the filming."

tvN′s Three Meals - Jeongseon edition did a simple pre-filming in March. Lee Seo Jin, Taecyeon, Na Young Seok PD, Shin Hyo Jung PD, and staff will be greeting spring in Jeongseon, starting April 18 and stay there for three days and two nights with each filming. 
In an earlier interivew with Newsen, Na Young Seok PD foreshadowed that Lee Seo Jin and Taecyeon will spend busy days plowing and sowing an empty field.
Three Meals will air in mid-May following Grandpas Over Flowers.

Lee Seo Jin and Ok Taec Yeon Reunite with Puppy Mingki and Goat Jackson for “Three Meals a Day”

tvN relayed some updates on Lee Seo Jin and Ok Taec Yeon‘s filming for “Three Meals a Day” that took place between April 18 and April 20.

A “Three Meals a Day” associate said on April 21, “If the previous trip was about visiting a house that was empty for a while, this time, it was about getting prepared to farm for the year as the weather warmed up.”

They also said, “In the fall season, they took care of the crops that were already there, but this time, they planted what they wanted to and they plowed and fertilized the soil.” They added, “Lee Seo Jin and Ok Taek Yeon went on their own, and were reunited with the goat Jackson and the puppy Mingki.”

Furthermore, producer Na Young Suk said, “Lee Seo Jin doesn’t hate farming. He likes and enjoys having his own space and making it his own. It was a fun shoot.”

Meanwhile, the new season of “Three Meals a Day” will air after the Greece season of “Grandpas over Flowers.”

Minky the Dog From “Three Meals a Day” Is All Grown Up

With “Three Meals a Day” set to return to television there has been great interest in the animals featured on the show. Minky the dog in particular has received a lot of love since the first episode of the show which aired last October. Viewers have been curious about how much she has grown since she was last seen on the show.

At a press conference on May 13, PD Na Young Suk shared, “Animals grow at a faster rate than humans, so Minky has become a female teenager.”

There were also questions about whether San Chae the dog and Bul Yi the cat from fishing village edition of “Three Meals a Day” would be appearing alongside Minky and Jackson the goat. PD Na Young Suk answered, “We know audiences want to see them together, but each program has its unique traits so I don’t want to bring them if possible.”

The Jeongseon County edition of “Three Meals a Day” will air on May 15 at 9:45 p.m. KST.

Farming challenge awaits ‘Three Meals’ stars

‘Three Meals a Day’ season 2 returns with Lee Seo-jin, Ok Taec-yeon and new member Kim Gwang-gyu

Celebrity producer Na Young-seok’s new-concept reality show “Three Meals a Day” was a sensational hit when it aired last year. Based on a simple premise of making your own meal from scratch, two urban men, who happen to be an A-list TV actor and a K-pop idol, struggled with rural life in the middle of nowhere.

Following on the huge success of its inaugural season and a spin-off, the show returns Friday with the original cast ― actor Lee Seo-jin and singer Ok Taec-yeon ― joined by a third member, actor Kim Gwang-gyu. 

And this time around, they face a more daunting task: They have to farm. They will be growing and harvesting crops from spring to early fall, in addition to cooking three meals a day. Grocery shopping is strictly prohibited.

Their livestock holdings will be larger, with Jackson the goat and her two babies and cute little Minky the dog, now all grown up. 

“We will plant corn in the 3,305-square-meter field. Even local farmers warned us it won’t be easy, but we will add more crops to that,” producer Na said at the press conference in Seoul on Wednesday.

Lee is crazy about growing potatoes, while Ok wants to grow lemons so he can drink soju mixed with lemon juice, he added.

Every week, guests will be visiting the three single men in their small farmhouse in Jeongseon. 

“We will be inviting new and unexpected guests who are not friends with our three cast members. We can’t say who they are right now, but you can look forward to our first guest,” Na said, adding that Ok wore a sleeveless T-shirt, “trying to appeal to the guest.”

He also mentioned that viewers may see actress Choi Ji-woo invited as a guest again for the second season. Choi was one of the guests for the first season and on the cast of Na’s other travel reality show “Grandpa over Flowers” recently. 

“This time, we’re hoping that Choi brings her friends along,” Na said, indicating her close actress friends Kim Tae-hee and Song Hye-kyo. 

The filming for the second season is taking place every two or three weeks from April. A small farming house and the vast farm field are closely filmed by a set of 40 cameras for 24 hours. 

“The second season has everything that I love. Nature, animals and the slow life. How humans and animals adjust to live together in nature,” said Na. 

The first episode of the second season of “Three Meals a Day” airs at 9:45 p.m. Friday on tvN.

Three Meals a Day' kicks off new season

Television producer Na Young-seok's third spin-off of his popular cooking show "Three Meals a Day" premiered on cable TV channel tvN on Friday night.

The new season, "Three Meals a Day ― Jeongseon," is set in a rural village in Jeongseon County, Gangwon Province, where cast members such as Lee Seo-jin, OK Taec-yeon and Kim Kwang-kyu prepare meals using only locally grown ingredients.

"Nature itself is incredible," said Na during a press conference at the Digital Magic Space (DMS) Building in Sangam-dong, Seoul, Wednesday. "I wanted to show the audience how hard it is to harvest the materials for our daily meals that can now be easily purchased at supermarkets near our homes."

Unlike other cooking programs that provide mouth-watering food made in fancy kitchens, "Three Meals a Day" shows that cast members can create meals using food from the village.

In this new season, Na has planned a four-month project that depicts the whole process of growing food, from cultivation to harvest. Cast members are also not allowed to buy materials and must rely on farming.

"Lee and Ok discussed what to grow," Na said. "There is a huge cornfield, where we are planning to raise some 10,000 ears of corn. Lee wants to grow potatoes, too, as they are a specialty of Gangwon Province."

The show's first series was also in Jeongseon. The two-month project had 11 episodes that aired last fall and winter.

Season two of "Three Meals a Day" starred Cha Seung-won, Yoo Hae-jin and Son Ho-jun, and was set in a fishing village on the remote island of Manjae. Cha was popular with viewers, who admired his cooking skills using only limited materials and utensils. The show received a record-high 14.2 percent TV rating.

"We will regularly invite guests to eat dinner together," Na said. "Cha may visit us some time later, but not in the early episodes. I want to focus on highlighting the beauty of Jeongseon first."

Top-Rated Shows Vie for Ratings on Friday Night

One of Korea's hottest actors and one of its most successful producers will battle it out for ratings on Friday night. 

The first episode of KBS soap "Producers" stars Kim Soo-hyun, while another series of "Three Meals," a reality show by celebrity producer Na Young-seok on cable channel tvN, will be aired at the same time.

"Producers" is the first soap for Kim in 14 months. Kim became a top star in Chinese-speaking countries with "My Love from the Star." The new drama deals with the life of the producers of successful shows on a TV station.

Soap operas have gone through something of a fallow patch in the last couple of years, and even top stars like Zo In-sung and Hyun Bin struggled to get decent ratings. The industry has high hopes for Kim's appeal to get them out of the doldrums.

"Producers" has already amassed W1.6 billion from advertising (US$1=W1,092). Chinese online streaming site Sohu.com paid US$2.4 million to secure the streaming license, and talks on exporting copyrights to other Asian countries including Japan are underway.

Expectations are equally high for a new series of Na's "Three Meals." The plot is simple: celebrities cook three meals a day in a country or seaside village, but the previous two seasons were a big hit with the highest ratings out of all programs aired at the time, including terrestrial channels. 

The main cast remains the same with actor Lee Seo-jin and singer Ok Taec-yeon and various celebrity guests.

Park Shin Hye to star as the first guest in Season 2, 'Three Meals A Day'

The first episode of tvN's Season 2, 'Three Meals A Day – Jeongseon' revealed its first guest, who will appear in the following episode. The guest is no one else but Park Shin-hye.

It was prearranged that Taecyeon would walk into the heart field if he'd like their guest. Taecyeon walked into the heart field along with Park Shin-hye and even presented her flowers. Lee Seo-jin teased him, "You try too hard whenever he have a female guest".

He even took off clothes to show off his manly side. He finally ended up expressing his hope Park Shin-hye would become a fixed member of the show. Taecyeon said, "She's good at cooking. Her personality is great. She's younger than I AM."

This season of 'Three Meals A Day – Jeongseon" will present the farmers Lee Seo-jin and Taecyeon at the advanced level. Kim Kwang-gyoo will also star in the show.

Taecyeon Is Completely Mesmerized by Park Shin Hye on “Three Meals a Day”

After the first episode of “Three Meals a Day – Jeongseon Country Edition,” the program ended with a sneak peek of the next episode guest-starring Park Shin Hye.

Beforehand, Taecyeon promised he would step into the heart-shaped field, which he made some time ago, if he liked the upcoming guest. When he sees that it’s Park Shin Hye, he goes to the heart-shaped field with her, of course, and even gives her a flower.

Seeing this, Lee Seo Jin teases Taecyeon by saying, “Why do you show off your strength only when it’s a female guest?” Taecyeon even shows off his masculinity by taking his jacket off and gets teased by the older members for acting differently around her.

“I’ve never wished for a guest to become a regular on this show before,” Taecyeon says in his individual interview, wanting Park Shin Hye to stay as a fixed member. He compliments her by saying, “She’s good at cooking, she has a great personality, and she’s younger than me,” and turns shy.

2PM's Taec Yeon releses new fashion pictorials

Recently, 2PM's Taec Yeon had a photo shoot in Vancouver, Canada with cooperation of Canada Tourism Commission, and the new photos were released through fashion magazine 'ELLE.'

Ok Taec Yeon's popularity skyrocketed once again recently after he appeared on variety program 'Three Meals A Day,' and Ok Taec Yeon flew over to Vancouver in the midst of hectic schedules.

However, he had to go through a lot of difficulties due to bad weather condition, but he still participated in the photo shoot with phenomenal focus and professionalism.

During an interview that was held after the photo shoot, Taec Yeon talked about new menus that he plans to show on 'Three Meals A Day,' and his graduate school life.

Taec Yeon also talked about how he feels to be considered as one of the older idol stars, and how he feels about acting. Regarding his participation in dramas 'Cinderella Sister' and 'Wonderful Days,' Taec Yeon said, "Not as many idol stars were acting back then, and I had to suffer a lot of criticisms. However, I still did my best because I did not want to miss the chances that I was given."

Taec Yeon contiued, "It seems that people view idol stars in a bit different perspective now, and I am going to keep singing and dancing until whenever I can."

Taec Yeon also mentioned about the trip to Rome, Greece and Turkey that had with his parents. He said, "My dad messaged me 'thank you, Taec Yeon' after we got back. I could not feel any prouder."

Ok Taec Yeon made his first debut when he was only twenty-one years old, and he showed much deeper parts of his identity through the photo shoot and interview that he had in Vancouver, Canada. Taec Yeon's new pictorials and full interview can be viewed on June edition of 'ELLE.'

Meanwhile, 2PM is planning to come back with a new album in June.

2PM singer Taecyeon to star in Elle interview, photos

K-pop singer Ok Taec-yeon, from boy group 2PM, will feature in the new issue of Elle Korea magazine.

The fashion magazine released photos of Taecyeon on Friday, a day before its June issue hits the stands.

In the interview, Taecyeon talks about his regular appearance in the new TV reality cooking show "Three Meals a Day."

"Three Meals a Day" will feature actress Park Shin-hye in a guest appearance in its second episode, to be broadcast Friday evening.

Taecyeon also talked about his new student life at the prestigious Korea University’s International Business department.

"My identity is now as a graduate school student," said Taecyeon.

The 26-year-old discussed his K-pop activities, reflecting in particular positively on his role in the 2010 TV drama "Cinderella's Sister."

"At that time, there were fewer K-pop singers who were also acting. It was also a time where if you didn't do well, you would be (severely) insulted and reprimanded," said Taecyeon.

Taecyeon also said that male groups Shinhwa and g.o.d -- who were popular during the late 1990s and early 2000s -- had changed the K-pop scene.

The 2PM member talked about marriage in relation to his happily-married parents, as well as recent trips around Europe with them.

The Korean-American singer flew to Vancouver, Canada, for the photoshoot with the fashion magazine.

Ji Sung becomes Taecyeon's buddy during guest appearance on 'Three Meals a Day'

 

 

Earlier this afternoon, 'Three Meals a Day' producer Na Young Suk heightened the anticipation for Ji Sung's appearance on the show by praising him for being one of the most hard-working guests and complimented the actor's adorable charms.

Ji Sung received much attention for his performance in the popular MBC drama 'Kill Me, Heal Me' for his portrayal of a character with multiple personality disorder. Though this will be the actor's first time appearing on a variety program, expectations are high that he will display a different charm from what we have already seen in his other works.

Taecyeon Shows Off His Summer-Ready Body for Elle

 

 

 2PM’s member Taecyeon posed for Elle magazine in a photo shoot set in Vancouver, Canada.

While he has a nice boy image on variety show “Three Meals a Day,” for this pictorial, the singer and actor shows his sexy side. During his interview, the singer reveals some of the thoughts he has while attending graduate school.

He shares his feelings about working for the entertainment business for eight years. Talking about his appearances in the dramas “Cinderella’s Sister” and “Wonderful Days,” he says, “At that time, there were fewer idols who acted and if something, even the tiniest thing went wrong, you would get a ton of criticism.” Also, he talked about the the lives of idols and comments, “Thanks to Shinhwa and G.O.D, I think that the idol world has gotten better,” and assures us that he will be very active as an idol in the foreseeable future. He adds, “Of course, my current status is a student. A graduate student.”

Taecyeon also shares stories of his travels in Rome, and to Greece and Turkey where he traveled to with his parents. He tells Elle, “My father texted me to thank me for the travels” and expresses that he felt proud of himself upon receiving that text message.
