with photo, video and recorded voice files up to 50MB, showcasing your talent and passion.

JYP Online audition site provides 5 different languages

(Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai) to explain the application process.

After you apply online, you can also check the comments

from JYP Entertainment casting & training team whenever you wish to.

I was auditioning for JYP Entertainment on http://audition.jype.com/ and I clicked "Audition Notice" and clicked "Grand Open - JYP Online Audition Site" and the message that I quoted was that.

Will there be youtube auditions? I think they still doing youtube auditions after Jan. 10 but I'm not sure.

Anyone can be a member even though you live in the US, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, ect.

UPDATE: 02-05-10

If you guys are having trouble with the online audition (i don't. perfectly fine for me. already send in application), then do the mail audition. Mail Audition is WAY better than the Online Audition. Why? Well because the staff of JYPE with actually see it for sure.

If you can't do mail auditions, then wait for a few days. The site is still new. There will be updates in the site.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you use IE!

Making An Account:

First, you have to put your username and your e-mail address. Click "OK" and check your e-mail inbox. Check your junk/spam box too! The e-mail should have your verification number. Copy it and paste it to the "Verification process though an e-mail" box. Then you will be on the next page. Enter ALL information required. Make sure your username have at least one number! After that, you are a member of JYPE Online Audition Site

Tips:

- Make sure that when you submit your audition video, make sure the song title and singer name is in korean so it be easier for staff members of JYPE

(example:

Don't do "Girls' Generation - Oh!" or "SNSD - Oh!", put "소녀시대 - Oh!"

Don't do "T-ara - Bo Peep Bo Peep", put "티아라 - Bo Peep Bo Peep"

"2NE1 - Fire" is fine.)

Yes only the JYP staff are able to see and rate your audition demo...Which is a good thing cuz for the self-conscious it will be nerve wracking to even put up a video of yourself doing your thang without someone non-professional judging you out of spite or jealousy.

i like the online auditions better, since they will actually LOOK through your pics and video and leave comments on it, so you know they saw it.

Me too It's definitely more professional than the email auditions of before. Plus they also changed the rules a bit like you can sing up to 10 minutes for your song instead of 1 to 2 minutes. And they gave width to the attachment files like you can now put up to 50 MB of your file attachments instead of the minimum of 25...Don't know for anybody else but that's hella sweet to me

I wish SM Entertainment and other entertainment companies follow JYP's example. It'll make it so much more easier for us foreigners to audition without spending so much money on mailing or FedExing you audition demo to South Korea.

I'm signing up for the website but it says 'ID' must be 6-12 characters long

I don't understand what this means? What ID? haha.. Help T-T

I had the same problem too until I realized it meant that somebody else had the ID name prior to what I wanted....Finally I was like "F this!" and made up a half baked ID name with my brother's first name and some random numbers afterwards...It worked after that stating that "this ID is available for you to use" or something around those lines lol.

Yikes, I also don't know how to get past the number thing for the cell phone. Should we fill out the Korea form even though we're from outside of Korea? Oh, decisons, decisions.

i fill the phone number and cell phone in this way;

korean code to call to my country+country code+state code+phone number
