KOREAN MOVIE  : IN SOUTH KOREA'S  WEBSITES RECEIVED  A SHOCKING LOW RATE REVIEW STRANGE MOVIE, UNDERSTANDING  THE MOVIE REGARDS IT AS DEIFY WHILE THOSE DON'T UNDERSTAND SCOLD IT AS CRAZY. ( The writer made use of the very similar pronunciation of the 2 chinese words to show the extreme difference of reviews between  those who understand REAL and those who don't.)

 

事实是，在不带任何有色眼镜及错误前设、以开放的态度和中上的智商去看待这部电影的前提下，它可能让你给出差评的原因，绝不会是粗制滥造／不知所云／主旨不明等等所谓的“客观烂”，而只是“难懂”，以及“不合适”，这两个极其主观的原因而已。

Actually, not wearing any tainted glasses and mistakes already stated, Using an open mind and above average mentality to look at the Move, it is possible to see the reason for the poor ratings. It is definitely not because it was produced in a rough and slip shod way, untelligible, substance not clear as commented by the "rotten objective views". It is only "difficult to understand" and "not suitable" these 2 most obvious reasons.

首先来说“难懂”。

最最典型的一个奇观，在全网尚未出中文字幕前，豆瓣上关于这部电影的长评已经达到了49篇。然而翻遍了首页的所有热门长评，居然没有一篇对于剧情的理解，是完全准确无误的。几乎全部都有重大偏差，甚至连角色人格数量与由来这种关键点，都谬之千里。

Most typical but amazing was that  there were already 49 pages of reviews when the chinese sub-titles were not even ready. After browsing over all the hot reviews, there was no one review which understand fully the story line. There were serious differences in their understanding of the  story lines and some even were unfamiliar with the origins and importance of the characters.

所以，两个建议给各位：

So, 2 suggestions for everyone

看片前，别信剧透，自己看。

Before you watch the movie, dont believe in spoilers

 

看片后，别信影评，自己写。

After watching the movie, dont believe in Reviews. Write it youself.

这才是感受Real的正确方式。This is how you should feel about REAL.

然后，再来说“不合适”。 Now, talking about "Not suitable"

这归根结底是一个风格与腔调的问题。越是普通常规的东西，越是符合普世价值，适众就越多，评价的优劣也会越平均；而越是风格浓重个人价值观强烈情感小众而偏激的东西，在找到一部分狂热者的同时，势必也遭到另一部分人的唾弃。这种狂热与唾弃的上下极与影片风格化的强度未必成正比，但观众群却必然个性越强、越少，风格越偏、越少，腔调越诡异、越少。直至阳春白雪，无人问津。

This boils down to the question of  the style and the tune. The more the common the practice the more it will accord with common values.  Suiting more people will lead to more positive comments. However, for those with implications of strong value of individualism and extreme emotions, while finding fanatical followers will also be cast aside by some people. The difference between the finding of fanatical followers and being cast aside by people are not equally divided. The stronger the portrayal of individual character, the lesser audience, the more deviation from normal story line, the lesser the audience, until no response to  highbrow art and literature

所以，无论是写出了这本嗑药剧本的编剧，还是把嗑药剧本的嗑药感惊艳再现的导演，再或者是没有嗑药却选了这样的剧本拍了这样的电影还演出了十足嗑药感的演员们，在如今大流韩影一窝蜂酿大题材钻牛角尖的形势下，

都有一种值得敬佩的不甘平庸不魅世俗不随大流的勇气。

 

So no matter who wrote this "crack medicine" scripts or the director or the actors, now facing such insoluble problem and  suffering from the disastrous  bandits' attacks, deserved our respect for their courage for  aspiring to be different, not afraid of common customs and not following the current flow.

 

除了演技早已毋庸置疑的他他他还有他之外，特别点名表演雪莉同学的最后一场戏。有那么一两秒，真的被演技惊艳到。

Besides the beyong doubt acting prowess of him  (Kim Soo Hyun) specially mentioning Sulli's last scene. Very touched by that few seconds acting.

最后，斗胆扔一句话在这里：

也许再过十年、五年、甚至只是两三年，在韩国电影的定义已经与现在截然不同的那个时刻，你会看着某一部新出的韩影，忽然想起2017年的夏天，南韩影史上曾经出现过这样一部远远走在时间前面的作品。

Probably after 10 years, 5 years or maybe just 2 or 3 years, when the concept of Korean Movie changed drastically,and while watching a movie, you will recall in summer of 2017 in South Korea movie history there was ever such a movie that was well ahead of time.
