Park Hae Jin Reveals Oh Yeon Seo Will Play Hong Seol In “Cheese In The Trap” Film

Park Hae Jin Reveals Oh Yeon Seo Will Play Hong Seol In “Cheese In The Trap” Film

Park Hae Jin, who is playing the male lead role in the upcoming “Cheese in the Trap” film, has revealed the identity of his co-star!

On August 28, Park Hae Jin announced at a press conference that Oh Yeon Seo will be taking on the role of Hong Seol, saying he is excited to work with her. Park Hae Jin is reprising his role of Yoo Jung, which he played in the 2016 drama remake of the popular webtoon.

Park Hae Jin told press, “I’m glad that someone has been cast who is a good match for the role of Hong Seol.” He added, “Of course Kim Go Eun did such a great job, but I wonder if Oh Yeon Seo might create a version of Hong Seol that is all her own and different from the one in the drama.”

The film previously held open auditions in China and Korea for the role, but was not able to find anyone suitable.

Park Hae Jin also shared that the production team is aiming to release the “Cheese in the Trap” film next year, with filming starting at the end of February. The first draft of the script is currently being edited, and a director has yet to be chosen.

Park Hae-jin donates 50 million won for Gyeongju crisis

photo766395.jpg

Actor Park Hae-jin donated a big amount of money to help with the Gyeongju earthquake crisis.

According to sources, he donated 50 million won (~US$50,000).

Sources say renovation in the area requires a lot of technical aid. There aren't a lot of victims but the maintenance work needs a lot of support.

Park Hae-jin has donated up to 170 million won in the past 6 years. He's been to West Africa on voluntary work and to the 2011 Japan earthquake crisis. In 2013, he participated in the charity work for Gaepo-dong village and in the 2014 Sewol Ferry crisis.

He sponsored National Athlete No Yeong-seok and donated 100 million won to the Busan flood victim as well. Other than that, he's been helping needy children with hospital care and support. This adds up to about 110 million won in donations already.

Gyeongju suffered from an earthquake the scale of 5.8 on the 12th this month. This earthquake is the biggest in this area since the earthquake in 1978.

Park Hae-jin donates 50m won to aid quake-stricken southeastern Korea

image

Actor Park Hae-jin donated some 50 million won ($45,400) to Red Cross Korea in a bid to aid the city of Gyeongju in North Gyeongsang Province, which was stricken by 5.8 magnitude earthquake and still reels from a series of aftershocks, according to Mountain Movement Friday.

His donation will be used for ladder truck maintenance and procurement, crucial for actions to repair damaged artifacts and tile-roofed houses of which there are many in the area.

“The idea of ladder truck cost came in place of emergency relief for refugees, since there were few refugees from the quake,” a source familiar with the matter was quoted as saying by Sports Daily.

Park is reported to have engaged in a series of domestic donation projects that are worth 1.1 billion won in total. His donations in China reach some 600 million won.

The 5.8 magnitude earthquake, which broke out on Sept. 12, is the strongest recorded quake in South Korea, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration. The South Korean government designated Gyeongju as special disaster zone Thursday.

Park Hae Jin once again proves he has a heart of gold

f02a8ad3-6732-4057-99f2-706ea8477e49.jpg

We already knew that Park Hae Jin is an incredibly charitable person, but his recent gift just takes it to a whole new level of adorableness!

Among his many charitable acts that have earned him the nickname "Donation Angel," Park Hae Jin has been a longtime supporter of the orphanage Haeshimwon. When he heard that the kids were having a field day, he wanted to join in on the fun, but his schedule was full with filming upcoming drama Man to Man.

He didn't want to disappoint the kids, though, so he surprised them with a food truck to show them his love. The banner read, "It's Uncle Hae Jin's Treat." How cute is that?!

His agency stated, "Park Hae Jin wanted to express his love for the children and wanted to make them happy...Recently, one of the children that Park Hae Jin sponsored got a job at one of the top companies in Korea; when he heard the news, Park Hae Jin was happy all day."

Isn't it so sweet to hear about how much he truly cares for these kids in need? What a guy!

His new drama Man to Man is coming soon, but in the meantime, marathon Cheese in the Trap:

Man to Man

Upcoming JTBC drama Man to Man now has the distinction of being the Korean drama commanding the highest price per episode for broadcasting rights in China. The record was previously held by Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, which received 400,000 USD per episode from Chinese broadcasters for a total of 8 million USD.

While the exact numbers haven’t been confirmed, Man to Man has sold for an excess of 400,000 USD per episode, proving that Park Hae-jin remains a significant draw for Chinese audiences.

Park Hae-jin not acquainted with controversial figure: agency

image

Actor Park Hae-jin’s agency Mountain Movement renewed its claim that Park has no connection to the controversial figure Ko Young-tae, who is allegedly close to Choi Soon-sil, a confidante of President Park Geun-hye who is currently embroiled in a scandal.

“One thing is crystal clear, Park has never kept in contact with Ko Young-tae,” read a statement released by the agency Monday. “This gossip-like rumor does not help unravel the escalating controversy these days.”

Mountain Movement vowed to take legal actions against those who spread online rumors on a connection between the actor and the figure.

The statement came two days after an initial statement, which had said a photo taken in 2011 featuring both Park and Ko had nothing to do with a host bar, where middle-aged wealthy women often pay to be entertained by men. The initial statement from Mountain Movement was withdrawn on the same day it was released.

Park Hae-jin donated 50 million for the needy

photo783653.jpg

Park Hae-jin won't stop being nice.

He recently donated 50 million won (~$US50,000) to the lower-income group.

Rice and coal were delivered to those houses in Nowon and Guryong Village that need it thanks to his generosity.

Park Hae-jin has been giving for 6 years. He worried that the disorder in the country will lead to neglecting the lower-income group and decided to make a donation.

Park Hae-jin is currently filming the JTBC drama "Man to Man".
