height doesn't matter too much if he makes alot of money. and to the above comment, u can walk into a club or bar with diamond necklaces, earings, gold grills, a full tux, a pimp cane, pimp hat, and 2 hot girls escorting u 1 on each side of ur arms, then women will notice u for sure.. haha

edit-- and.. if u are a girl and is standing at 5'11.. u are WAY TOO TALL for most guys imo.

I also have a close friend who's always complaining or have low self esteem about dating cause of his height, 5ft. Sometimes I don't understand why that's such a big deal to him, but being a good friend I always try to make him look over pass that. Girls these days have standards.

I'll be lying if I said tall men weren't attractive. However, I find that well built short men are far worse and disturbing than skinny, non-built short males.

Well here's a taste of your own medicine; THINK ABOUT THE GENES PEOPLE.

I have the potential of being tall in me, I have the genetic capability since my father and his family are all taller than average asians (all over 6ft), so I know I could produce tall kids. I am not very tall myself due to my mother's dominating traits, also due to my picky nature and unhealthy lifestyle and environment. Therefore why would I want to spoil my offspring? Arrogant, shallow and cocky; however, I love to prove my point of men judging those with surgery. (I can never get rid of that grudge, really)

I don't know about you, but I don't want to be those short parents in which are injecting growth hormones into their children.

im 5' 9" so height isnt really a problem that blocks me from getting girls n all, but (no offence) girls do take height into consideration, its like the next thing they look at after looks. and add in the fact that a lof of girls like to wear heels, being short is a huge disadvantage. that doesnt go to say that you cant win her over with charm or anything, but you have no time to feel down about yourself, so pick yourself right up and up your game and show them tall people! haha (except for me of course xD)

I'm 5'8" and I do very well with girls. I think as long as your friend carries himself in a confident way, he should be okay. Girls like confidence, security, and safety. As long as they have that, it can make up for a lot.

Honestly...height does matter for me. But it's not such an influential factor...just that it provides more security;]

height matters to me. i dont mind a guy if hes the same height as me or taller im 5'6 so thats still short for guys but as long as hes not shorter than me. hehe but thats only looks-wise, if i got to know the person better and liked him then his height wouldn't bother me a bit.

I know this is pretty late as far as replies go. Well he can get those "special" insoles if he's very conscious abot his height... i mean some chicks stuff their bra and pad their butt to look curvier. Suggest if he's interested in investing some "height" insoles. Also... him being buff makes his body wider, which will make him look even shorter. Tell him not to worry. There are chicks that are into short guys. My friend is Filipino too... he's 24 now but he's currently dating a 22-year old Swedsh chick who's 5'8". She's super hot too! She doesn't care about his height. He's 5'2". And he's poor as heck. But he is one of the nicest peeps you'll ever come across. You're a cool friend to introduce him to a girl.

Besides, I'm already short so actually finding

a guy that's shorter than me isn't as easy.

I like going for guys that are a lot taller than me

I have this one friend who is around my height

and her boyfriend is the same height as well.

To some people height doesn't matter, since

they might make up for it in other ways.
