*** JTBC has chosen wisely with its unconventional strategy to release three episodes of the drama "Reborn Rich" in a single weekend- breaking the typical style of how television dramas are usually presented in South Korea. Viewers seemed open to the idea of having access to more episodes more quickly, and a three episode per week production is one way of accomplishing that. Such changes to production order have been more common in recent years- although to date, decreasing episode runs have been the trend more than increasing them. There's now a wider variety of stories being told, and scripts are more likely to be finished before production, due to decreased use of the live shooting system. "Reborn Rich" has been able to use that to great effect.

“Reborn Rich” has unveiled a new making-of video for Episodes 1 to 3!

 

JTBC’s “Reborn Rich” is a new fantasy drama starring Song Joong Ki as Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal secretary to a chaebol family. When he dies after being framed for embezzlement by the very family that he had faithfully served, he is reborn as the family’s youngest son Jin Do Joon, and he plots to take over the company in order to exact revenge.

 

The clip begins with an incredibly tense scene between Kim Kang Hoon, who plays the younger counterpart of Song Joong Ki’s character Jin Do Joon, and his grandfather Jin Yang Chul (Lee Sung Min). To help calm Kim Kang Hoon’s nerves, Lee Sung Min chats lots with the young actor and organizes their plan for the upcoming scene.

 

The next scene takes place years later, with Jin Do Joon now being portrayed by Song Joong Ki. He joins Lee Sung Min for a light rehearsal and the duo impresses with their seamless chemistry. In the following campus scene, Song Joong Ki shyly practices his adorable greeting to various news reporters.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Jin Do Joon goes back to see his mother again 10 years after that initial encounter. Although a sign on his mother’s restaurant reveals that they are going out of business, Jin Do Joon manages to be served a meal as the restaurant’s very last customer.
