willenette
*** On April 28th, Song Joongki discussed his past works in an interview on 'Arena Homme+' Youtube channel. Song Joongki shared, "I seem to endure things well, like my character in 'The Innocent Man.' But I cannot stand rudeness that goes beyond common sense." Comparing his experiences in 'The Innocent Man' with those in 'Vincenzo,' he remarked, "I felt a lot of pleasant thrill while filming 'Vincenzo. In 'The Innocent Man,' even if I wanted to seek revenge deep down in my heart, when my character faced my target of revenge, he just ended up swallowing it back inside. But in 'Vincenzo,' my character was the total opposite, he swept everything away, so it was very satisfying. It's like your indigestion is all solved." source : Gstarlive
willenette
Song Joong Ki Talks Candidly About His Past Projects: From ‘The Innocent Man’ to ‘Vicenzo’ In a revealing video interview with Arena Homme+ Korea, Song Joong Ki took the opportunity to look back at his filmography and discuss the core values that have shaped his personal and professional life. During the interview, Song shared a light moment about his current downtime, “I’m taking a break after finishing the movie ‘My Name Is Loh Kiwan.’ I’m not sure if I should say this, but it’s baseball season, and I spend every evening watching the Hanwha Eagles,” he shared with a smile. Afterward, the actor had time to look over his past projects. Starting by comparing himself to Kang Ma Ru from the 2012 drama The Innocent Man, Song discussed his own threshold for tolerance. “I think I endure a lot normally like Ma Ru,” he said. But he added, “When I encounter rudeness that goes beyond common sense, then that’s my limit.” Revisiting another character, Chul Soo from the 2012 film A Werewolf Boy, Song was asked how long he could wait for someone, akin to his character’s patient nature. “I think I could wait about half a day,” he responded. He also touched on his role as Yoo Shi Jin from the 2016 drama Descendants of the Sun, revealing that fans often tell him he frequently uses the phrase “sincerely.” The actor noted, “It seems I use that word a lot unconsciously.” While discussing his experience shooting the 2021 drama Vincenzo, Song felt a particular connection to his earlier role in The Innocent Man. “It was incredibly satisfying, like taking a digestive after a meal. I was reminded a lot of ‘The Innocent Man’ during that time,” he explained. When asked about what has sustained him through tough times, Song emphatically credited his family. “My family is my pillar. And last year, I spent time with fans at the theater for the first time in a while, and seeing how much they enjoyed my new work made me realize I need to carry this responsibility with even more diligence,” he concluded. source : https://www.xportsnews.com/article/1853934

willenette
*** Interestingly, among the scenes that struck my attention during Baeksang Awards was the interaction between Song Joong Ki and Kim Seon Ho. This happened before the start of the ceremony's main event. Kim Seon Ho greeted Song Joong Ki with a hug, while the the latter tapped him on his back. This precious moment was caught on camera. Seeing this interaction, they deserve to headline a K-drama together. As far as I remember, this is not the first time that the two were spotted having a warm exchange at a ceremony. I guess during the Blue Dragon Film Awards, Kim Seon Ho and Song Joong Ki shared the stage together as they accepted an award.
willenette
*** BIBI in her capacity as a new actress, representing her movie Hopeless was nominated for the Best New Actress (Film) in Baeksang award and ended up taking the trophy home! When her name was announced, BIBI was thoroughly taken aback and once she got on the stage, she explained that she came unprepared because she never expected to win. The camera then panned to Song Joong Ki, who could hardly contain his chuckles. Song Joong Ki was seen thoroughly enjoying her unprepared predicament up on the stage, clapping and chuckling. I'm amused at his reaction. He looked like a real brother who was simultaneously proud of his sister’s achievement.
willenette
*** I watched his latest movie "My Name is Loh Ki Wan". Although it has many sad and triggering moments, the movie has a happy ending for the characters. The ending was just how I wanted it to be. The movie was beautifully shot and I liked the pacing. I appreciated the cinematography and acting. For me it was just okay, far from the best, though. I think Song Joong Ki deserves a lot of high-5's for portraying something that is literally outside-the-box. Here, he's not delivering any of those super-cool and I-am-too-good-looking vibes like in any other stereotypical male-lead roles. The best part for me was that Song Joong Ki is great (even better I would say) without expensive suits and watches, but grubby clothes, toes wrapped in toilet paper to keep warm and sleeping rough on the floor of a toilet. Song Joong-ki has really shined. It shows his depth as a character actor. It’s just that I don't see a lot of chemistry between Marie and him. I don’t like the love story. Although, I am a sucker for romance. Watching this movie makes me realize the difficulties people have to go through to survive, to fight for their rights, to just live in this world. I almost shed a tear while watching it. Song Joong-ki is excellent here with micro-expressions (very brief flashes of expressions that are very hard to notice) that’ll break your heart. There were some parts that were hard to watch as he has to endure betrayals, backstabbing and yes seeing working hard to stay alive and avoid being caught in the end of the day, but Song Joong Ki did well in this movie. willenette
*** On May 15th, Tiffany guested on 'Radio Star' and shared heartwarming anecdotes about Song Joong Ki, with whom she starred together in 'Reborn Rich'. Here, she expressed her gratitude towards Song Joong Ki. She revealed, "She took care of me a lot. We had a lot of scenes together, and at times, he'd joke, 'Tiffany is filming, someone should bring a reflector!' He was always the mood maker. Whenever I felt like I was lacking or didn't know something, he would kindly whisper and ask me, 'It's okay. Do you want to do it again? Should we do it again?' and then would announce (out loud), 'We'll do it again!' He helped me and led me a lot." source : Gstarlive

In a new video circulating online, Song Joong Ki can be seen smiling and greeting passersby who recognized him.
