He is flawless.

Every Korean woman is crazy about Song Joong-ki. It's not just about popularity and 'aching' for him, every single thing about him is an issue. Fans naturally trace back to where he came from and you're in for a surprise.

During his school days, he was the perfect student. He was fair and pretty looking with good grades and on top of that, he was a great athlete as well. He was born to be a great student example.

As a young boy, he dreamed of becoming a track athlete but an unexpected incident forced him to quit. Nevertheless, this perfect guy didn't despair. He always had good grades to make sure he got places.

Then came high school. This is when it gets impressive. His report cards had nothing but 'A's. According to his high school teacher, he was a smart student who was always in the top 10 rank of the school and his handsome image always made him a star amongst female students. He was also a leader as he was vice chairman of the student board.

His SAT scores were near perfect. He scored 380 out of 400. His intelligent days at school allowed him to progress to Sungkyunkwan University. This is when he began to expand his talents. Every single soul at the school knew who Song Joong-ki was because of his good example. He was even published on the front page of the school magazine.

Because of his decent looks and behavior, many suggested for him to become an announcer, so that was his dream. He started to build on that dream by joining broadcasting teams at school. He had what it took to become one too. He practiced speeches every day and in the end, this helped him flourish to the actor he is today.

Song Joong-ki’s arm cast in ‘Descendants of the Sun’ real

The cast worn by Yoo Shi-jin, the lead character in the KBS drama series “Descendants of the Sun” turned out to be actor Song Joong-ki’s real-life injury, according to local media outlets.

Song Joong-ki was injured during while filming for the drama on Nov. 23, 2015. The injury left him with a fracture on his right arm along with a cruciate ligament rupture which needed eight weeks of recovery.

In the 13th episode of the drama aired last Wednesday, Yoo Shi-jin was severely wounded from a gunshot and is hospitalized. Even after being discharged from the hospital, Yoo continued to wear a cast on his right arm.

The cast may have simply looked like a prop used to make the drama seem more realistic. However, it was actually a real-life cast of the actor.

Reportedly, Song returned to the filming scene in only two weeks, managing to complete the 15th and 16th episodes of the drama on time.

On April 14, Blossom Entertainment announced, "Jeju Air has chosen Song Joong Ki for their model in order to expand the airline market into China and South Asia. Song Joong Ki will be on various print, online, offline CFs, and ads for a year as the face of Jeju Air. " 

 

Jeju Air also commented, "With Song Joong Ki, we look forward to increasing brand popularity and creating a more familiar image to the public."

'Yeo Yoo Man Man' relays amusing anecdote related to Song Joong Ki's visit to KBS

The April 4 airing of 'Yeo Yoo Man Man' was made entirely into a 'Descendants of the Sun' special, with Song Joong Ki as the main topic of course. 

Lee Jung Min, one of the announcers at 'Yeo Yoo Man Man,' relayed the account of a staff member who was in the front lines when Song Joong Ki visited the KBS 'News 9' headquarters. 

Lee Jung Min said, "From what I know, among the staff members, there was someone who filmed Song Joong Ki at the very front. He said he took a 20-second video and sent it to his wife. And his wife replied, 'This is the best thing you've done in your life so far.'" 

 

Lee Jung Min continued, "But that person wrote 'Song Joon Ki' instead of Song Joong Ki. So the wife told him, 'As I thought, there is no hope.'" bringing laughter.

Song Joong-ki popularity rises as companies rush to get Korean actor to endorse their products

Song Joong-ki is undoubtedly one of the most popular actors in Asia right now after his turn as a special operations soldier in the hit drama "Descendants of the Sun." The show is currently available on Viu's free K-drama streaming site Viu.com, where it is said to be the most-watched show.

The 30-year-old won the hearts of audiences with his suave portrayal of Captain Yoo Si Jin, and now, several companies are reportedly rushing to sign the actor to endorse their products. Many are thinking that having the actor onboard is a smart marketing move as Song Joong-ki is the most popular celebrity not only in his country, but also in China as well as other Asian countries.

According to Korea Times, those looking to expand their presence in China and Southeast Asia, where Song commands an enormous fan base, are eager to hire him as a commercial model despite his soaring talent fees. As of the moment, the actor already has numerous endorsement deals, which include skincare products, clothes, beer, toothpaste, and canned tuna.

An official at an unnamed company whose product appeared in the drama in the form of product placement told the website of their intention to sign Song as their model.

"The sales of our product have surged both at home and abroad after Song and other cast members were seen consuming it," said the official. "We would like to hire Song as our model. But he has become too expensive for us."

But despite his increasing talent fees, the representative said that companies will still be willing to have Song as their product endorser because "He will definitely help them raise their brand recognition and bolster sales."

The website reports that on Tuesday, April 12, an unknown cosmetics brand called Forencos became the latest company to close an advertisement deal with Song. While the company did not disclose how much it agreed to pay the actor, the company said that he will be the model of their skincare, makeup, and other beauty products.

Apart from being one of the most sought-after actors and product endorsers in Asia, Song Joong-ki has also been recently named as Korea's tourism ambassador.
