Song Joong-ki to appear in Chinese variety show

Actor Song Joong-ki, the star of hit TV drama series “Descendants of the Sun,” will appear in a popular Chinese variety show in May, local news reported on Friday.

Song will star in “Happy Camp,” a renowned variety show by satellite television channel Hunan TV, from May 10-12.
 

The broadcaster announced the news on its social media account.

In the drama “Descendants of the Sun,” which had its finale last week, Song played Yoo Si-jin, a special forces soldier, opposite actress Song Hye-kyo. His popularity has skyrocketed since then.

He is set to visit eight cities to meet fans, starting with Beijing on May 14. He will be in Wuhan on May 21; Guangzhou and Shenzhen from May 27-28; Shanghai on June 5; Hong Kong on June 11; Chengdu on June 17; and Taiwan on June 25.

[Airport Fashion/Photo] Song Joong Ki Looks Dapper Arriving at Airport

On April 22, Song Joong Ki was seen arriving at Incheon International Airport dressed in a dark colored suit.


The star is flying to Hong Kong to attend the Dior Homme 2016-2017 Winter collection live show. He was dressed for the occasion in a dark striped suit paired with a checkered shirt and dark blue tie to match his attire.


Song Joong Ki travels to Hong Kong as his fame continues to rise in China for his role in Descendants of the Sun.
