SHORT RECAP

We stayed like this until my hiccups ceased. My eyes drooped with drowsiness. Finally giving them a rest, my arms loosened from his neck and instead trailed down to encircle his waist as my head rested against his chest. And just like that, I fell asleep.

I never knew that throughout the night, YuHwan stayed awake, holding me because I kept trembling.

Rolling around in the sheets, I groaned from the light that hit my eyes. My body ached and my eyes felt sore from rubbing.

Even through my annoyance, SeungHoo’s voice greeted me happily. “Wake up Noona! YuHwan Hyung has breakfast ready.”

I rubbed my eyes and sat up tiredly. Dazed, I walked to the living room with confusion as to why I was in YuHwan’s room instead of mine. When I remembered the bet last night, I frowned. SeungHoo didn't ask me anyhing about it, so it seems YuHwan already told him not to ask me about it.

Thinking about the dream last night, I shook my head. It was amazing how just from finding out that I was adopted that my mind created such a believable dream. Of course, a car crash was just a car crash. My mind turned it into something more than it really was.

“Good morning sleepy head,” YuHwan greeted.

I sat down at the table across from SeungHoo who smiled brightly at me as he stuffed his mouth with more scrambled eggs.

My hand instinctively went up to my mouth to cover it when I yawned. “YuHwan ah, I want pancakes,” I said, giving him a puppy pout.

“We don’t have pancake mix.”

I frowned. My random cravings really suckeed. “What do we have?”

“Look for yourself.”

I lazily got up and walked towards the fridge. When I opened it, my eyes popped out at the empty shelves. “Eun YuHwan!” I screeched.

“What?!” The annoyance that I was yelling so early in the morning wasn't lost in his tone.

“You pig!”

He frowned. “I didn’t even eat breakfast yet. Who are you calling pig?”

“There’s no food!”

YuHwan’s face hardened. “My father came last night.”

I became quiet. “Did he take it all?”

“It seems like so.”

Sighing, I sat down. YuHwan and his family was pretty messed up as well. Seems his father really didn't care whether his son ate or not. I watched SeungHoo munch without a care. “SeungHoo ah, you want to share with Noona?” I smiled hopefully.

To my shock and utter surprise, he shook his head and swallowed the last bit of eggs. “All gone.”

“Here, have this.” YuHwan handed me a piece of LeShing Lollipop.

(J/N: Readers who've read my other story, Moonlight Walk, there's the LeShing Lollipop! JaeHyun's fav ;] lol. Just had to add it into here<3)

I grabbed the sucker and popped it into my mouth while savoring the delightful strawberry taste.

Glancing over at SeungHoo, I watched as he played a staring contest with YuHwan. That loser. I know SeungHoo can't win anything where you have to be serious. He's too adorable to be serious. Slowly, a smile started to form on his lips and he let out a small giggle. I smiled and started laughing while glancing at an also smiling YuHwan.

The three of us laughed at nothing in particular. It was just a true moment of absolute happiness that was caused by one smile. That’s how contagious a single smile can be, especially SeungHoo's.

“Noona, Hyung, you two are funny.” SeungHoo giggled happily.

YuHwan shook his head but a huge grin was still on his face. “You’re the one that makes us funny.”

“I want some!” SeungHoo held out his hand at me.

“It’s mine!” I whined while sucking on the lollipop with renewed force.

“Noona! Share.”

“Eww, it’s not good to share germs.” I smiled while licking it and dramatically savoring the taste to torture him.

“But…I want some.” SeungHoo pouted adorably.

“Ask YuHwan.”

“Hyung?” He held out his hand and gave YuHwan the biggest puppy eyes in the world. It made me want to pinch his adorable cheeks.

“Al—“

*BAM BAM

We looked up at the door that was being banged on loudly. It was pretty early in the morning to have any visitors, so confusion was all over our faces.

“Monster!” SeungHoo shrieked.

YuHwan cautiously walked to the door and looked through the peep hole. When he glanced through it, he immediately backed away and scowled. Obviously, our visitor wasn't someone YuHwan liked very much.

“Who is it?” I asked cautiously.

“SungHwan.”

I furrowed my eyebrows and walked to the door. With my eye in the peephole, I waited until the knocking stopped and instead, he was standing there waiting patiently.

“What do you want,” I yelled loudly to be heard on the other side of the door.

“Su YeKyung, get out of there.”

“Why?!”

“COME OUT.”

His yell shook me. What was going on? Why was he acting so unflappably? I looked back at YuHwan and SeungHoo. “What do you think he wants?”

“Let me get it,” YuHwan told me. He made sure SeungHoo and I were far back before opening it. “What do you want Gyo SungHwan?”

“Eun YuHwan, tell YeKyung to come out.”

“Why?”

“It’s a matter of life and death here.”

If it was a matter of life and death, why did he sound so calm? Despite the yelling, his tone didn't indicate any rush.

“What happened now?”

”SeeDuk’s in the hospital.”

I raised an eyebrow. What’s that got to do with me? Even though I was a little concerned, that didn't mean I needed to be the person to visit him. “And?”

“And JungRoo.”
