^Ah so much snow. Looks very pretty. I hope the girls (and wonderfuls ) are keeping warm today.

Wondering how their recording went. I can't wait to hear the new music in March. It's only two months away! I don't know what style I would prefer the girls to do, but I do want them to mature with their music. I think that's a problem in k-pop (amongst other things). Too many cutesy songs. I mean they all have there place, but since Orange Caramel started it and was successful with that style... there is overkill. Either way I'm sure I'll like what ever WG put out.

Just want to say I agree with qoxie. As much as I would love for the girls to go back to S.K. now isn't a good time for idol groups. There's like a witch hunt to find flaws in groups, and everyone is feeding off of controversy and ill-will. I'm glad that JYPE groups are focusing on overseas promotions right now (MissA & 2AM- China, Wonder Girls- U.S., 2pm- Japan). JOO is doing great there though. I think she, G.NA and IU are the only relevent solo singers there now. And there are too many groups right now, I don't know what idol groups can do but expand their audience overseas.

As far as I'm concerned WGs and JYP nation are doing things right.

I don't know if everyone knows this but Soribada has a site in english for international fans. So if you been having trouble trying to buy the girls music from just korean speaking sties or that you can't really buy cds anymore, there is another option for you to help out the girls.

It'll be great if IU, JOO & G.NA can add power Kpop, cuz they are what we Chinese classify as 'talent singers' 实力派 & not 'idol singers' 偶像派.

But all it takes is one bubblegum-ish hit song, & the rest of the industry will jump on THAT bandwagon again. LOL

All the same, fingers crossed that WG can fit in some form of Korean comeback or, better yet, return as Billboard-conquering heroines.

I also expect missA to carry the JYP Nation banner more at home this year. It won't be WG's 'fight'.

Hard to say whether missA will focus overseas, now that they have switched to J-Tune (who will supposedly retain their management but has no China expertise that I know of).

JYPE's biggest 2011 wild card in Korea may turn out to be RAIN (once J.Tune merges with their new parent company), if he goes through with his music plans.

Yu Quan (China's top singing duo) joins TV hosts Harlem Yu (Taiwan singer) & the 给力小子 'Glee Kids' (Hans Zhang, Wei Chen, Zhu Zixiao -- all China idols in their own right) to sing 'Nobody' on HunanTV's 给力星期天 'Glee Sunday' show.

What's impressive is they sang the Chinese version.

First time I'm seeing WG's music peers do this. Whereas previously it was chorus only, or all Korean intonations, or just using the song as soundtrack.

WG's hard work is paying off.

Wonder Girls hang out with “best buddy” Claude Kelly

As readers know, the Wonder Girls have been in the studio for the past week gearing up for their US debut album set to drop this March.

On top of recording with Claude Kelly last Friday, the Wonder Girls closely bonded with the acclaimed producer. “Claude came to shoot cute videos with the girls for cambio.com,” a representative told allkpop today. “They had a great time shooting the videos together, since they are already “best buddies” … The girls taught him some Korean words, plus! It was snowing outside so they were excited!”

It looks like Claude Kelly’s really giving his full attention to these girls; we can expect nothing but great things from this upcoming album! What kind of music do you think the Wonder Girls will be delivering this year? Leave your guesses below!

그 팬은 이어 '서울국제학교', '작은마음들' 등의 단체와 함께 '원더걸스월드'라는 팬클럽 이름이 새겨진 이름표가 환영이라고 쓰인 게시판에 걸려있는 사진을 공개했다.

사진에는 "사진은 팬 봉사팀을 반겨주는 장애 영아원 게시판이에요. 더 많은 참여를 위해 리트윗 해주세요"라는 글이 덧붙여졌다.

원더걸스는 최근 지난 2008년부터 경기도 광주의 한 영아원을 찾아 봉사활동을 하며 아동들에게 남모르게 선행한 것이 알려져 화제를 모았다.

또 멤버 예은은 지난 2009년 손가락 기형인 어린이에게 수술비를 기부, 선예는 SBS '세상에 이런 일이'에 출연한 움막 할아버지를 찾아가 생필품을 전달한 것이 알려져 주위를 훈훈하게 만들었다.

The fans ("little hearts" and "wondergirlsworld") volunteered in Seoul International School. You can see their engraved nameplates shown on an online bulletin board.

Back in 2008, the wondergirls were secretly volunteering by helping less fortunate kids in Gyeonggi-do, Gwangju . In 2009, member Yeeun donated and helped a kid with deformed fingers. Sunye captivated the public by secretly helping an old exiled man(SBS "How in the world").

By this the netizens commented, "The singers and their fans. Such kindhearted people", "Like idols, like fans", "I hope this article will be famous", "These kind of fans will make you proud".

Meanwhile, Wondergirls upcoming album is raising expectations as they are currently working with famous musician/composer Claude Kelly (since the 19th of this month).

If that's the case, then I guess I had the wrong idea.

Both the vague Chinese translation as well as Google Translate seem to imply she got into Dongguk under special circumstances (as "1st candidate" of gifted program or something), & I did not want say so as much without confirming it.

Just came across an interesting study about KPop companies Youtube revenues posted on allkpop's forums. According to the posted figures, which are taken from a Citigroup studio, the Wonder Girls should be accumulating some hundred thousand $ per year (10M views account for 70.000 USD to the contents owner, and 30.000 USD to YouTube) Content ID means that protected videos posted by Youtube users can add up to the official channel impressions. Note to self: turn off adblock for youtube JYPE channels

I am curious whether the almost 50-million views Nobody MNET Performance yields impressions to JYPE or to MNet. Guess it's better to watch the official MV to give support to the girls.

The ad revenue should go to Mnet, since their YT channel hosted the clip. All JYP gets is the song royalties, if any.

I am on the fence about this, cuz JYP is the most liberal of the 3 major Korean companies in using social media platforms merely for interactive purposes.

In turn, the WFs follow the cue -- indeed, Nobody became a viral hit, as a result -- unlike other fandoms who are more organized & disciplined.

Did a rough survey: SM Ent hosts 7 of SNSD's 10 most-watched YT clips. YG Ent hosts 9 of 2NE1's 10 most-watched.

Whereas for WG, JYP hosts just one clip (& that was the US 'Nobody' MV). Mnet itself has 3 of WG's top 10 YT clips (the others were the 'So Hot' & the 'Anybody' performances).

Dunno how wide Youtube Search delves into its archives, but typing a couple of WG keywords ('Wonder Girls', 'Wondergirls') produced 822,000 videos vis-a-vis 1,094,000 for SNSD ('Girls' Generation', 'SNSD', 'So Nyeo Shi Dae'). Keeping in mind WG has, like, at best 1/4 of SNSD's released music material for fan re-distribution.
