I do recommend both Punch and Attic Cat.   They are very different drama. Attic Cat is light and sweet. I can't even think how many times I have watched it.  Most recent drama "Punch" is more of a heavy-weight legal drama. I loved the reunion of Kim Rae-Won and Jo Jae-Hyeon in it (They were together in Snowman aka Snowflakes (2003). They are both such amazing actors and work so well together. Also, the amazing love story in it touched my heart.  I don't want to say more, so as not to spoil it for you.

That's a boost. My hands are itching to secure a copy of these 2 contrasting KRW pieces. I'm flexible with genre and i like both female leads so it's a plus. looking forward to Jo Jae hyeon then 

I missed KRW. I've been a long time Kdrama fan but only few actors drew my enthusiasm. Though my eyes were caught by fresh and younger actors, I still go back to the appeal of Kim Rae Won, his contemporaries & the likes

Hello to all of you guys who loves Kim Rae won *waves* I'm Rori and I've been checking your warm exchanges and updates in this lovely thread 

I've come to know KRW thru My Love Pattzi wayback 2003 and since then I believed he's a competent and sexy actor. My Little Bride & Love Story in Harvard are among my favorites but My Love Pattzi holds a special place in my heart  of which you guys did some throwback not long ago. You put a big   on my face.

I've haven't seen in between drama/film of his. I really wanted to see Attic Cat and Punch lately. 

I'm not too keen with Doctors before but upon knowing my two favorites, Park Shin Hye & Kim Rae Won possibly starring in it, now I'm excited & hopeful. Both have been quite long in the business and stands their ground up to this moment. Whatever their decision will be, I will support them.

@peanuts281, Thank you for your share... I am glad you are watching Punch.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we all did.  Yes, ATDP did center around the female lead, but Rae-won had a good role in it. I thought it an excellent drama, but very sad.

There are plenty of reports about the drama tonight. Some sources claim that both Kim Rae-Won and Park Shin-Hye had confirmed.  Others say they are still considering.  Probably by morning we will have a clearer picture..

Doctors: Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye have a possibility of pairing up in the upcoming SBS medical drama.

Doctors: Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye have  a possibility of pairing up in their upcoming drama. Kim Rae Won has been offered a role opposite The Heirs actress, and if he accepts it, he would be seen acting opposite Park Shin Hye. Lee Sung Kyung, the ‘Cheese In The Trap’ actress is also in talks for accepting the lead role with Park Shin Hye.

Kim Rae Won is another development among the characters which will be portrayed in the medical drama. If all the actors accept the offers, then Kim Rae Won would play the role of a talented and specialist neurosurgeon. Park Shin Hye would play the role of a gangster turned neurosurgeon who can’t trust any one, and Lee Sung Kyung would play the role of a jealous doctor who’s love interest has been stolen from her.

Park Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won to Star in New Medical Drama

 

Actress Park Shin Hye and actor Kim Rae Won will be teaming up for SBS‘ upcoming medical drama “Doctors” (working title).

According to SBS, the negotiations are now finally finished, and both stars are confirmed to star in the drama. Actress Lee Sung Kyung is also expected to join the cast.

Park Shin Hye will take on the role of Hye Jung, a tough school bully who transforms into a smart and studious doctor. The male lead will be played by Kim Rae Won who will portray Hong Ji Hong, a respected neurosurgery expert and hardcore realist with an outgoing personality.

This will mark Park Shin Hye’s return to the small screen after a year and six months after wrapping up “Pinocchio.” Kim Rae Won has been on a hiatus since “Punch” which ended around a year ago.

“Doctors” takes a realistic approach to exploring the relationship between patients and doctors while touching on academic elitism in the Korean society. It is expected to air after “Jackpot” starring Jang Geun Suk, Yeo Jin Goo, and Im Ji Yeon ends its run in mid-June.

Actress Park Shin-hye and actor Kim Rae-won will be in a new SBS drama, tentatively titled “Doctors,” local news reported Wednesday. 

“Doctors” is a medical drama that centers around neurosurgeon Hong Ji-hong, played by Kim Rae-won, and a gangster-turned-doctor Hye-jung, played by Park Shin-hye. 

This is the first the two stars will be acting together. 

“Doctors” is scheduled to premiere in June, on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m.

will star in 'Doctors'

Kim Rae-won and Park Shin-hye will co-star in SBS' "Doctors".

A source from SBS confirmed, "Park Shin-hye and Kim Rae-won have been confirmed to appear in"Doctors"".

"Doctors" focuses on the realistic sides of the hierarchical system of doctors' circle in terms of their academic clique and social and geographical origins, as well as the relationships between doctors and patients.

The drama depicts turbulent and passionate stories by doctors who would not lose the Hippocratic Oath and still keep trying to accomplish their dreams despite the changing world.

Kim Rae-won will play Hong Ji-hong, a neurosurgeon, who is gifted, personable and greatly popular. Park Shin-hye plays Hye-jeong, a helpless gangster, who has never lost in a fist fight so far. Park Shin-hye will show her dramatic transformation as she later turns into a medical doctor.

"Doctors" has been scheduled to premiere in June, taking over the same airtime from "Jackpot".
