Q. How well do you think the movie will do?

A. Even though the screenplay or scenario is really good, no one knows how much “luck” we’ll get. We are hoping that the movie does well, and our efforts and performance are at the foundation, but in the end, we also need luck. Since several movies will be released in April, I have no idea what the audience’s reaction will be.

Q. What are your reasons for choosing KJH and KHN for the main roles in 7 Grade?

A. When I first read the scenario for 7 Grade, KJH and KHN flashed into my mid. I thought they would really look good together. I waited a year in order to cast both of them,. They fit the characters perfectly. KNH plays a woman who can risk her life for love, and when she’s working, she can risk her life for her job. She got hurt a lot during the action scenes, but she really tried hard until the end. KJH plays a character who lands on his face no matter what he does. He has that certain charm that everyone who watches him can’t help but laugh. I was convinced that these two actors were perfect fits for the characters in this movie.

Q. There’s an actual scene in the movie, but what would you do if your boy firiend/girl friend said let’s break up if you can’t come meet me at the specified time?

A. KHN – He’s not a very nice person if he wants to break up just because I can’t see him right away. I won’t fall in love with someone like that. But if a situation like that happens, I will see him. I’ll ask my manager to rearrange my schedule and go to see him.

KJH – I’m still a rookie when it comes to movies, so I’ll do whatever I can to bring my girl friend to the filming location.

Q. Your previous projects (KNH “On Air”, KJH “Rough Cut”) was such a big success, it must have been difficult to choose your next project. What was your reason for choosing “7 Grade Civil Servant?”

A KHN: It’s a real headache to have to choose your next project based on whether the previous project was a success or not. When I got the script, I thought it was really interesting. This is really important to me when I’m choosing a project. If the character of “An Suji” was just a romantic character, I probably would not have done it, but I was really interested in the action scenes and was really drawn to it.

A. KJH: When I was filming Rough Cut, I was really stiff and nervous since it was my first time filming a movie. It’s true that I had a hard time deciding on my next project because my first movie did so well. I put a lot of thought into it, but after I read the script for 7 Grade, I thought I’d want to act freely, like running around in a wide open space. I talked to the Director about this during the early stage of filming, and he took a lot of my ideas into consideration. Thanks to him, I was able to rid myself of the stiffness I felt with my first movie.

Q. Last words

A. Director: I tried to make a movie the whole family could enjoy.

KHN: I hope it’s a movie everyone can enjoy. We all put in everything we could physically into this movie.

KJH: There will be a lot of movies being released in April. I ask that you direct your love and curiosity towards 7 Grade a little bit more than the others. I would be happy if you find the movie relaxing and entertaining. Thank you.

Q. There was a rumor about you and KHN. What was your reaction?

A. KJH: I think you may know this already, but this is my first rumor of this kind, so please set aside a moment to congratulate me. Thank you~. Personally, I met KNH through 90 Days. The rumor must have started because we worked well together (KHN: hahaha) Why are you laughing? Thank you for the congratulations.

Q. Seems like there are a lot of similarities with Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but what did you focus on when you were filming this movie?

A. Director: I tried to depict the story of the national agents and civil workers in Korean situations in an entertaining and refreshing style. I think you can watch it and be able sense a difference from the other movies

Q. There are a lot of action scenes. How did you prepare for them?

A. KHN: I learned horseback riding, jet skiing, fencing…I learned a lot. I was scared and hesitant at first. I was so scared I wondered if I would be able to perform well. However, the trainers told me that I learn fast. The staff praised me saying I was a “child prodigy.” The action scenes went much better when we were filming than when I was practicing.

Q. Did you have difficulty choosing your next project since your first was such a success? & What are your feelings toward Song Kang Ho?

A: KJH: I was blown away by the huge success of Rough Cut. So I felt I had to put extra effort into 7 Grade. Song Kang Ho Sunbae is a star recognized not only by other actors, but nationally as well. I heard that coincidentally his new movie “Thirst” will be released around the same timeframe as our movie. I can only say that it’s an honor. Personally, I have great confidence in 7 Grade and it’s a movie that KHN, the director and the staff all put a lot into, so I hope that both 7 Grade and Thirst do well.

Q. If you were to describe your character in 7 Grade?

A. KHN: The image is that of a strong woman, but there’s a romantic side too. She’s a professional when it comes to her job, and you can see a more mature side that is different from the other movies, but there is a romantic cheerful side that is similar to my previous movies too. I think I can show you a variety of different characters.

Q. If 7 Grade was to do well, what factor do you think will contribute to its success?

A. KJH: As an actor, in every project there are scenes that you feel are lacking and others that you satisfied with. Of course, they may differ from those felt by the viewers, but there are things felt only by the actors. While filming Grade 7, I was able to feel confident with almost every scene. This rarely happens, but I felt satisfied with each scene and was able do my best, so I definitely hope that it will be successful.

I can't wait for this movie to come out..thank goodness it is any day now..it seems like so long ago that this movie was just an idea and now it is going to be shown..too bad i can't watch it in the theatre but wait for downloadable version..
