ok let's see my interpretion : I guess when he close his eyes ... this is to convey that he died .

My opinion is that he did die. Also, there was a sense of peace that came over me in the capture when all three of them are sleeping. AJW's son and AJW always put their arms above their heads when they sleep and in an earlier episode, his son said that it was his way of punishing himself and AJW told him not to punish himself anymore. Then in a later episode, they were both sleeping side by side in the same position. In the last scene when all three of them are sleeping, AJW is sleeping with his hands resting on his chest. He's finally at peace. He left Bokja with a love that'll last her a lifetime and helped her grow into so much more of a stronger woman.

I have to agree with everyone...This drama is one of a few that has a really satisfying ending. I totally loved the final episode. Very well made. I'll try to post some pictures.
