'9월 JTN LIVE CONCERT'서 폭발적인 가창력 선보여

[JTN뉴스 현화영 기자] 요즘 가요계에 걸그룹 열풍이 거센 가운데 호소력 짙고 폭발적인 가창력으로 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 두 여성 솔로가수가 있다.

바로 가요계의 소문난 '절친'으로도 잘 알려진 거미(본명 박지연.29)와 린(본명 이세진.29).

거미와 린이 지난 7일 밤 서울 잠실 종합운동장 실내체육관에서 열린 'JTN 라이브 콘서트'의 주인공으로 무대에 섰다. 평일임에도 1만5천여 관중이 공연장을 꽉 메웠고, 두 사람은 열정적인 무대로 화답했다.

2000년대 초 비슷한 시기에 데뷔해 수많은 공연을 통해 갈고 닦은 실력만큼이나 이들은 더욱 성숙해지고 풍부한 성량, 다채로운 무대매너를 선보여 많은 박수 갈채를 받았다.

이제 나이 서른에 접어든 동갑내기 친구 사이, 거미와 린을 JTN뉴스가 만나봤다.

거미 "노래는 사람 살아가는 이야기를 진솔하게 전하는 것"

- 지난 7월말 단독 콘서트를 무사히 잘 마쳤다고 들었다. 앞으로 콘서트 위주의 활동을 하는 건 어떤가.

▲ 공연을 하는 걸 워낙 좋아해서 자주 하면 좋겠다. 나를 좋아해주시는 팬들의 연령대를 봐도 방송보다는 공연을 더 선호하시는 것도 같고. 하지만 특별히 공연 위주로만 활동하겠다는 생각은 없다. 그냥 음악시장 흐름에 따라 방송도, 공연도 같이 병행하고 싶다.

- 콘서트 당시 어머니 장숙정 씨와 함께 무대를 꾸며 화제가 되기도 했다. 부담감은 없었나.

▲ 개인적으로 효도한 것 같아 기뻤던 무대다. 어머니 실력이 워낙 뛰어나셔서 감추고만 있기엔 아까웠다. 부담감은 나보다는 어머니가 갖지 않으셨을까.(웃음) 한편으로는 걱정도 많다. 힘든 가요계에서 잘 해내실 수 있을지, 연세가 많으셔서 어떡하나 등등. 어머니의 든든한 지원자로 앞으로도 기회가 생긴다면 계속 함께 무대에 오르고 싶다.

- 지난 2004년 휘성과 조인트 콘서트를 가진 이후 오랜만에 JTN 라이브 콘서트 무대에 서게 됐다.

▲ 당시 많은 관객들이 호응해주셔서 큰 인상을 받았다. 다시 무대에 선다는 얘기를 듣고 매우 기뻤다. 오늘도 가득 찬 객석을 보고 있으려니 무척 흥분된다.

- JTN 라이브 콘서트에서 어떤 무대를 준비했나.

▲ 지난 7월 단독 콘서트 때 못 보러 오신 분들을 위해 좋았던 부분들만 뽑아서 준비해봤다. 웬만하면 히트곡을 많이 들려 드리고도 싶은데, 곡수가 많지 않아서 오히려 고르는 데 아쉬움이 많이 남았다.

- 앞으로 정규앨범 발매나 콘서트 계획이 있는지.

▲ 아마 다음에 선보이게 될 앨범이 정규 5집이 될 것 같다. 열심히 해서 올해 안에 내고 싶다. 앨범을 발매하면 콘서트도 맞춰서 하게 될 것이다.

- 가장 '거미다운' 음악이란.

▲ 대중이 내게 원하시는 음악이 뭘까 생각해봤다. 듣고 가슴이 시원해지는 음악? 내가 뭔가 높은 음을 질렀을 때 희열감을 느낀다는 분들도 많다. 개인적으로는 무엇보다 '진실된 무대'를 보여 드리려고 노력한다. 노래는 어차피 사람이 살아가는 이야기를 전하는 것이라 생각하기 때문에 누구나 공감할 수 있는 내용을 진실되게 부르는 가수가 되고 싶다.

Gummy's new song for DAEMUL is DAEBAK!!! At first I wasnt really intersted, not because of Gummy but because of the drama. I didn't know it was THE drama with Queen Seon Duk's Go Hyun Jong...So I took a listen and was utterly blown away. She truly is an amazing artiste (never doubted that)

2NE1 to participate in the 2010 YG Family Concert in December

The members of YG Family: Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Gummy, etc. will all be gathering in one place.

On December 4th and 5th, at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastic-Fencing Stadium, YG Entertainment revealed that they will be hosting the '2010 YG FAMILY CONCERT'.

Starting in 2003, YG had held 'YG FAMILY CONCERTs' under the name of 'ONE CONCERT', however in 2008 and 2009, this concert was not held, causing several fans to be disappointed.

YG representatives stated that the concert will be held to make up for 3 years worth of absence, making a more charming comeback with 2NE1 who is currently storming up the idol world, Gummy and Se7en, who had engaged in brisk activities, and even Big Bang, who had taken a leave from performing in Korea for a while with their solo activities and activities in Japan. The concert is planned to display the passionate and outstanding performances unique to YG Family.

In addition, PSY, who had recently entered into YG entertainment, is also planned to appear on this stage, and it is planned to be a concert displaying a more diverse YG Family.

Since it has been so long since they have had a concert, the family members have already began preparing for the concert, gathering in one place to take photos for the concert poster, etc.

In particular, the magnae group of YG Family, 2NE1 stated "We really want to do a concert this year". Through this concert, they'll be able to fulfill that goal to a certain extent, and it is rumoured that they're unable to hide their excitement for it already.

what? how come more people arent posting in Gummy's thread after last night's EPICNESS?? that's a shame, really, because she was one of the highlights of the night.

First off, congratulations to Gummy for winning Best solo vocal performance. Because she totally deserved it.

Second, her stage was one of my absolute favorites of the night, right after the BB stage. She just killed it. And I love the simplicity of it all...it FELT like a mini-concert--it was that intimate. Gummy doesn't need a bunch of bells and whistles to move people. All she needs is a microphone and a piano.

I was mesmerized from the moment she let out the first note... I was crying before I knew what happened.

She looked absolutely beautiful. I love how she's ever the lady, has a voice of a soul sanger, and yet, she isn't afraid to get down like the rest of the YG family. Her haircut/style is beyond awesome. She's just jjang like that.

Third, Gummy was so amazing, moved so many people, that she TRENDED last night on Twitter for a good while. I wish now that I took a screenshot of it. But its a testament to how epic her stage was.

It is so true she is the most underrated women in K-pop right now. Her performance on MAMA was FLAWLESS. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't think much of Korean singers.

I was spamming like crazy on Twitter for Gummy watching the live stream of MAMA. Evenm when she was on the red carpet.

I am 100% bias to Gummy she does everything right to my eyes and ears.

GUMMY's performance blew me away. truly the BEST that night. My mouth gapped when she performed The Moon Represents My Heart. She's so amazing and my appreciation for her just went up miles more
