Guest RoseS
Why did Song Hye Kyo reject model offer from 'Mitsubishi'? By yckim124 11 minutes ago Actress Song Hye Kyo has rejected Japanese car brand 'Mitsubishi's model offer According to the public relation company in charge of Song Hye Kyo, the actress turned down Mitsubishi's offer for a different CF that was scheduled to be aired in China. The reason is the fact that Mitsubishi is currently involved in lawsuits over the alleged use of forced labor during Japan's colonial era. SEE ALSO: Song Hye Kyo says this is the best thing about shooting 'Descendants of the Sun' Following the news, Seo Kyung Deok of Sungshin Womens University, who is also known to be an expert in promoting South Korea, made a comment about Song Hye Kyo on SNS as he wrote, "Song Hye Kyo has long been a partner of mine. She has great interest in Korean history and culture." He also revealed that Song Hye Kyo has talked to him about Mitsubishi's offer as she said, "Mitsubishi hasn't taken responsibility for their past actions yet, right? That means I am not going to be modeling for them." Song Hye Kyo is well known for her strong patriotism. In fact, she sponsored the production of Korean language brochures in various locations in New York. How could anyone not admire Song Hye Kyo's strong support for Korea? Song Hye-kyo rejects Mitsubishi ad offer Actress Song Hye-kyo made a smart move. She denied an offer from the Japanese Mitsubishi. According to Chinese locals, Song Hye-kyo was offered a car commercial for Mitsubishi China. She was offered a large sum of money but she refused. Mitsubishi is notorious for its forced labor during the Japanese Invasion and several victims of Mitsubishi are still at court with this issue. Song Hye-kyo decided she couldn't be the face of a criminal company and stuck to her convictions by refusing the offer. Song Hye-kyo has been acting on concept since a while ago as she has been promoting the Korean culture and history along with Korean promotions specialist, Seo Kyeong-deok. This is why her rejection to the offer is more of a big deal. The actions of a Hallyu star are watched by the whole world. One must be careful when it comes to making even the smallest decisions. Therefore, before a star yells in joy at the amount of money offered, he or she needs to remember that he or she is the face of Korea and take responsibility for following actions. gigivillaceran
13 of the Highest Paid K-Drama Actresses and What They Earn In the United States, it’s pretty well-known how much TV actors make, and there are lists everywhere enumerating the highest paid TV actors of all time, topped by actors like Charlie Sheen, who earned 1.8 million USD per episode of “Two and a Half Men” (2003-2015), and Ray Romano, at 1.7 million USD per episode towards the end of “Everybody Loves Raymond” (1996-2005). Among the women on the list are Helen Hunt, who earned 1 million USD per episode of “Mad About You” (1992-1999) and Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow from the cast of “Friends” (1994-2004), all of whom (including the guys from the cast) also earned 1 million USD per episode towards the end of the sitcom. Of course, these actors are at the upper end of the spectrum on an all-time list; many TV actors earn just a fraction of these actors, and these figures are for the United States. So how do the figures for K-drama actresses compare? It’s a different market and a different country; how much do top-earning actresses like Jun Ji Hyun, Song Hye Kyo, and Kim Tae Hee make? In 2015, an actress will bring in about 50 billion won (approx. 42 million USD) in sales in the industry. Korean media outlet Ilgan Sports put together a list of Korea’s top actresses’ earnings per episode after consulting with drama production companies, broadcasting company producers, management staff members, and other specialists in the entertainment industry To start, Suzy (miss A) and YoonA (Girls’ Generation) receive around 20 million won (approx. 16,700 USD) per episode, and are the highest paid actresses among idol stars. 13 of the Highest Paid K-Drama Actresses and What They Earn In the United States, it’s pretty well-known how much TV actors make, and there are lists everywhere enumerating the highest paid TV actors of all time, topped by actors like Charlie Sheen, who earned 1.8 million USD per episode of “Two and a Half Men” (2003-2015), and Ray Romano, at 1.7 million USD per episode towards the end of “Everybody Loves Raymond” (1996-2005). gigivillaceran
Park Shin Hye and Moon Chae Won enter the list with earnings of roughly 25 million won (approx. 21,000 USD) per episode. Park Shin Hye especially, with the highly pop Park Bo Young hiked up her price tag to 30 million won (approx. 25,000 USD) due to her recent return to television being her first in seven years. She used to be the highest paid tvN actress before Choi Ji Woo. Also earning around 30 million won per episode is actress Shin Min Ah, who will be starring alongside So Ji Sub in the upcoming KBS romantic comedy, “Oh My God.” ular drama “Pinocchio” under her belt, is predicted to see a rise in her per episode pa Gong Hyo Jin receives slightly less than 40 million won (approx. 33,400 USD). Her per episode earnings for the drama “Producer” were a bit short compared to her previous drama “It’s Okay, It’s Love.” Kim Tae Hee, currently filming the popular SBS drama “Yong Pal,” receives 40 million won (approx. 33,400 USD) per episode. She lowered her fee ever so slightly due to the lackluster response for her previous drama, “Jang Ok Jung The next on the list is Song Hye Kyo. She is in the center of the Hallyu wave in China and is currently working with writer Kim Eun Sook. Since Song Hye Kyo’s appearance in “That Winter, the Wind Blows,” she has maintained earnings per episode of over 50 million won (approx. 41,800 USD). Most recently, Choi Ji Woo signed on with a tvN drama for 50 million won (approx. 41,800 USD), a record in tvN history. Since the broadcasting company’s inception nine years ago, she has become the highest paid actress, knocking Park Bo Young to the number two spot. She is able to receive even higher pay because it is her first cable drama appearance in 21 years. Ha Ji Won also maintains her title as the “Drama Queen,” likewise receiving 50 million won (approx. 41,800 USD) for her appearance in her latest drama, “The Time We Were Not in Love.” Lee Young Ae and Jun Ji Hyun top the list as the highest paid actresses in Korea. Since drama appearances from them are rare, they’re highly sought after with a premium price tag. Lee Young Ae, best known for her wildly popular work “Jewel in the Palace” (2003), is set to star in the upcoming drama “Saimdang, the Herstory,” her long-awaited 12-year comeback to television. Hong Kong’s Emperor Entertainment Korea (EEK) is investing 10 billion won (approx. 10 million USD) in the drama, which speaks volumes of Lee Young Ae’s popularity in China. Jun Ji Hyun continues to enjoy explosive popularity from her most recent drama “My Love from the Star” (2013). The popularity of her character on the show even brought about the term “Chun Song Yi Economics,” which describes the phenomena of her popularity and her earning power. As previously reported, her pay per episode is about 100 million won (approx. 83,500 USD). Most recently the actress starred in the movie “Assassination,” which drew 10 million moviegoers.

ticktockjuly
Hi all, I hope you guys still remember me. I am so happy that our Kyo's new drama gets so much love from people. Although I rarely post, I try to keep it up with everything our Kyo is in. I don't know about others, but for me, I love DotS coz of Kyo in it. But I have something to share it here and hope to get your points of view on it. I read a lot of forums, here and ones in my countries. But as I can see, all have tendency of believing there is something that is going on between SJK and our Kyo. I dont oppose it coz trully speaking, I can see that chemistry that burns screen everytime they appear together in scenes, but after encountering lots of voices, I do wish Kyo lovers could restrain from letting the shipping surface until it turns out a fact, we will heartily congratulate her and make a party here. As you know, I used to ship Kyo with KDW, but after sometime on reflection, I see that it affects Kyo so much if it isn't true. Deep inside my heart, I do wish Kyo is happy, of course with anyone that she falls in love with. But I don't want Kyo to get more bad voices from others as if she fell in love so easily. I'm worried too that there is still some negativity about the post about Kyo's refusal of Japanese car modeling. I use google translate, so Im not sure if there is agreement or disagreement, but It still burdens me alots. If you ever experience the time of txxx exxx, you will get this kind of emotion. GOSH, i still remember how I and lots of Kyo lovers were nervous all that day. I even made lots of accounts on N.B, A.K to defend our Kyo. Time flies, and everything is OK now. There is so much more I want to say, but I will be back later. Hic, I miss our @freshspring
fresia
Now i understand why the last time when they show about the article on how much the actresses paid off on comnercials and dramas our Hyekyo unnie only ranked number 2 on each. (To think that that she's the biggest ever) But now it's clear when she turned down the mitsubishi china offer of 1M USD contract. But it's not secret that she is quiet careful of choosing each and everything she do especially on choosing endorsement deals. She only shows how trully kind she is and showing her loyalty and patriotism to her mother land. She doesn't got blinded by how much offers she will get but she stands as a dignified-loyal person. Trully one of a kind. And for the people in her country for keeping on hating her about last times controversy. Now they've seen how trully kind she is. (1M is not a small amount and mitsubishi is a very big company but she turned it down without any hesitation because of her love for the people from her country. And i wish people will do the same. As we know that most of her antis were also from her country). Without a doubt, from the time of full house she already nailed herself as the biggest and most celebrated korean female celebrity/actress until today. She is the most famous in China (no doubt), in Japan, in South East Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and others. I'm sorry for the others whether they agree or not. She already conquered the queen title and no one will be able to steal nor share that title. She has 4 great of the greatest dramas under belt which no other actressess did (Autumn in my heart, All In, Full House, Descendants of the Sun)

fresia
And for the possible Chinese remake or any other remake of DotS? Honestly speaking, i don't like it. I have no idea on who will be able to play SongCouple or how are they going to make it as lovely and as great as it is. Like how i've searched and seen those of remakes of Hyekyo unnie's dramas. I'm sorry for the production and actressess for the said remakes but i don't like it at all and it didn't work. So I'm wishing that the dramas production team would consider it not to sell the copyright for any remakes because i don't want to happen what was happened to full house before. They must understand that Hyekyo unnie owned all her dramas. Like there is no other actress who can play Yoon Eun-suh, Min So-Yeon, Han Ji-Eun and even Kang Mo-Yeon. It's hard to see any other actress playing the role made by Song Hye Kyo shi. Do you remember TWTWB before. It was originally a Japanese but it wasn't hit to other Asian countries. But when Korea remade it and chose miss Song to take the role of Oh Young, it turned out to be very successful and hit to South East Asian countries (it made even worry some of the Philippines local shows for its high ratings to think that it was broadcasted there very late night). They must think that this past few years K-dramas wans't making waves this much outside Korea. And DotS were the reason why it is bossoming the hallyu again. And South East Asian countries (one of the biggest exporters of K-drama) is going crazy agin about hallyu because of DotS. And when DotS production team made statement why did they chose Hyekyo unnie as the lead, because of her great impact on Chinese market, they must also include the reason that because the name of Song Hye Kyo is big deal in South East Asian Nations. So no remake please to be able to remember how great how drama it is even for the next few years.

foresthills
A Woman of Royalty!!! The name Song Hye Kyo is a dynasty that conjures in the trained mind, a nobility, well-guarded family tradtiton encased in honor and fame, imbedded in illustrious and amazing achievements, silkened in the tender and luminous carpet of distinction and treasured by the glorious and exemplary exhilarating breeze and potency of fame and honor. For the good things in life that man may ask for or even dream are actually the treasured possession of this beautiful person; so aged by tradtiton and so mellowed by experienced along the emerald paths of successful life. Fine breeding, wealth and the fine trimmings of pomp and splendor, abeyance to duty, patriotism of the highest degree, courage unfettered, special awareness of charitable inclinations are but a few achievements, qualities and distinction of this popular and strong person that is Song Hye Kyo!!!

[+2,577, -104] Nice one, Song Hye Kyo! 4. [+229, -24] Song Hye Kyo's image took a big hit with the tax evasion scandal but I heard she's razor-like when it comes to endorsements. She researches the company's background and educates herself on the products before signing a contract 5. If even as I woman I fell for her, I totally understand if men would melt away when they look at her 6. [+5,227, -424] She also turned down an apartment campaign before due to the worry of inflating the housing bubble.
