For queen of tears i'm guessing Choi Ji Woo would be first because of "Winter Sonata" and "Stairway to Heaven" and for second i'm guessing Son Ye Jin just because she cries so beautifully too. But of course so does our SHK and it's an honor to be ranked amongst those top actresses.

I think Hye Gyo is good regardless of Drama or Movies.

i think she should venture more into movies since there's a higher chance of pp watching in other countries wheareas very few might even notice her drama out of the many when going into a video shop

Of course we die hard fans watch anything that she's in. Well she even go into singing lolz.... her voice is very nice when she sang the theme song in My Girl & I movie when she was staring out the window

agree....seeing her inclines towards movies is indeed a positive move for her to really experience the challenge in acting as well as the chance of getting recognition from other countries, since good quality movies could participate in lots of movie/film festival esp. outside korea.

hey tammie! i'm Ian.. yeah...i was really lucky to get to see her in malaysia! i'm not from korea though...i'm just in Korea to visit and to see how many stars i can recognize..haha SHK is popular but not as popular as Jeon Ji Hyun right now though as JJH has a new movie playing (www.daisy2006.com) I still see SHKs commercials in the subway (as they have small TV screens inside the subway train) and some of her ads here and there. There's a really nice billboard of her outside the Etude House (cosmetics, etc shop) as she is (or was) the covergirl for them! I'll see if i can take a picture of her when I come across a billboard

Thanks! haha...i was lucky that i got to see both of them! Unfortuantely I haven't really seen any stars...the closest i've seen the stars were at the wax museum in COEX mall here They have wax figures of Bi and Chae Yeon and other actors/actresses. I've been to a few of the places where they filmed dramas though which is pretty cool SHK is popular as everyone knows who she is, but they're not that many billboards of her around.

It's me again ! After seeing the news about HyeKyo next possible project... my friends (also die hard SHK fans) have started searching for the biography of that 'prostitute'

She was living in the 16th century....a beautiful and talented woman....good in music, dancing and has written a lot of good poems about love....unfortunately only 6 poems still exist now...She was a brave and daring woman in her period of time.....and she had entered into a 3-year contract marriage with a musician (she has refused to renew the contract when the contract expires ). She was not actually a 'real' prostitute...she was more of an artist performing in the porn house, where there were the real prostitutes.

Her story was recorded in Korean textbook.

Besides, describing her profession, the movie will stress on her attitude towards love and how she overcome hardships such as famine, running out of money and seeing her first love died for her.

The character is very challenging....so as long as there is no bed scenes and other sexual stuff....I support Hyekyo to star in the movie.

Some of my friends has suggested Rain could be the male lead (that is the musician who has contract marriage with her)...but this idea just make me laugh as I think Rain will look funny and weird wearing 16th century Korean costume

Just wonder what is contract marriage like in the 16th century in Korea....will it be something like the contract marriage in Full House.

This news said that HyeKyo wants to try acting the role of Kate in the movie 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'.

She also said that she wants people to recognise her as a movie artist instead of TV drama artist (that implies that she will not be shooting TV drama anymore).

The other stuff is about the movie 'My Girl and I'...nothing special.

BTW, anybody knows what is so special about 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' ?

I found it in yahoo! korea by searching under her name...I'm certain that this is the right woman Yes, I agree with you...I instantly thought of SHG when I saw this photo. They are both beautiful and have those soft, elegant features!
