7 K-Drama Queens and their Successors

Se

The Damsel in Distress

When it comes to a melodrama, there's no one who can look so beautifully sad quite likeSong Hye Kyo ('Autumn Tale', 'Wind Blows in Winter'). Master of the frozen, pained look, Song Hye Gyo is known to act in tragic K-Drama masterpieces that make Korean audiences weep into puddles of feels.

Baek Jin Hee ('High Kick 3', 'Triangle') may not look like Song Hye Kyo, but like her predecessor, she also has what it takes to act out forlorn roles that breaks hearts. She especially gives off Song Hye Kyo vibes in her drama 'Triangle' in which she acts out a casino dealer, much like Song Hye Kyo did in her drama 'All In' (which was made by the same people). Although the young actress stated that she was nowhere near Song Hye Kyo's level, she definitely has what it takes to get there someday.

John Woo’s The Crossing to open Dec 2

Beijing Galloping Horse has set the China release date for the first part of John Woo’s upcoming epic drama The Crossing for December 2.

Starring Zhang Ziyi, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Korean actress Song Hye-kyo, the film revolves around three couples on a liner that sinks during its crossing between mainland China and Taiwan.

Woo also confirmed that the movie was delayed in 2012 by his diagnosis of cancer. He first heard the story of the ill-fated Taiping liner from scriptwriter Wang Huiling in 2008 and was moved to make an historical romantic drama that would portray events during a tumultuous time in China’s history.

“While I was receiving treatment in the States, I saw a bad film and I thought to myself, I could not just die like that. I can’t just go away without making a film which I think is perfect,” said Woo.

The Crossing is produced by Beijing Galloping Horse, Le Vision Pictures, China Film and Huayi Brothers. The second part of the two-part movie will be released in 2015.

The early December release date for the first part comes a few weeks before the release of another highly-anticipated Chinese production, Jiang Wen’s Gone With The Bullets, on December 18.

Its wonderful to see beautiful pics of SHK with her bright smile courtesy of freshspring who never fails to post awesome photos, gifs and videos of SHK stage greetings! Thanks to you and other kyonatics here.

About the post of ngoc chieu Nguyen about SHKs property as I know it was already known to public years ago but if media are talking about it again I'm quite worried that some of her bashers or anti fans might associate this with her tax issue as it was said during the height of that issue that some are digging into about her properties , hope it won't be that case. actually I'm happy with the way she is investing her hard earned money on those properties and she really deserved to have this and I would feel bad if ever they will bash her again . hope SHK now is more cautious and never take chances in trusting people casually and should hire dependable people that can protect her from those legal issues.

Looking forward for more stage greeting pics!
