Yes, we are very happy and proud as a fan for all praises. He worked very hard for it, and still is. I'm sure in future too we will see a lot of praisworthy dramas/movies with him. I think he still has a lot to show us, things we can't even imagine.

as @maria1983 has said many times, we are so happy he chose to be an actor. All the things we would have missed otherwise. 

His drama Gourmet is still my favorite. It's the one where I got to know him. And the one I think he learned that awesome cooking/cutting skills like in the video  @n90c4nh  has posted. But if you put it that he's so good with a knife, thinking psychopath being good with a knife, watch out for our Prince then

OK let's see if I can finish typing this, since I have a lot to say, because I wasn't able to the last days. Seriously, even when I was still trying to read your posts, suddenly the page disappeared and I got a warning from my anti-virus about malicious site, so I stayed away from soompi for a while (but couldn't help trying every day) haha. Hopefully it is solved now.

Wow, I love the conversation here. And the mild difference in opinion 

First of all, thank you @Ayame for the translations! it is gold!!

So let me all give you a shocker right now: to be totally honest, I am disappointed in our Prince (please don't throw tomatoes at me now or even worse, try to stab me). I've been feeling bad about it, because I really do like him a lot as an actor, but please let me explain. It is mostly from what he said in the interview or from what I've read here and there (sorry, don't know what I read where anymore). And please feel free to correct me, bcs I would be more than happy to change my view and be all 100% "go oppa" again!

- I just knew he would be bringing himself down again, saying he did not do the best he could etc. I knew it! And I'm like: why? why oppa? what again was not right? I have been trying to search for flaws in your acting in Doctors, but sorry, I can't find any. OK, I'm not that good of a source, since I'm not an actor myself, but if the viewers liked it, isn't that the most important? I really enjoyed HJH, it was better than I could have ever imagened (just the Teacher period was not so much my favourite). Saying he could have done better for the surgery parts if he had more time to study with real surgeons... who cares? That 0.1% of viewers who are actually doctors and can point out "oh, that's not how a real doctor would do"? I'm sorry, but this upsets me a lot. He's always so hard on himself. For no reason I believe.

Good thing though: he did like it himself that he could act (even if brief) the intern doctor Hong. I was very amazed at that. Considering he had to play a beginning doctor, 10-15 years younger (?) than what he was now, at the end of months of shooting, and after playing the current Hong all the time, I was really like: bravo! You nailed it big time, dear Prince. Playing insecure all of a sudden, naive, but still full of hope: brilliant! I would have liked to see a bit more of that, but I was already happy with this. An excellent example of how well he can act.

- Oh yes, the dancing/kissing in the rain scene. I still don't understand what was so wrong about it. That it was hasty? That part I can slightly understand, but not, that it should have been cut out completely. I liked that scene! I still do! I thought it was sweet to have a first mild kiss there. Sure, there are thousands of songs that could have applied, but the one now was OK for me. And even if it was all that bad, it's too late anyway. We all saw it, and I think the majority liked it. Bringing the focus on it, doesn't help imo. But OK, I'm focusing on it too, so doesn't help either. I just wanted to say I liked it.

- Then the psychopath thing. Aha, you all like it? I don't. But I'm slightly changing my view, because I now realize there are many ways of psychopaths to be played haha. I was just like imagining the kind of psychopath like in Silence of the Lambs, and I was like, noooo, our Prince is too young for that. He should be more mature to play this and still get "sympathy" from the viewers. If he plays a role like this, at his current age, it will give a bad feeling, a bad image. But I should snap out of it and think: a) he is not even playing it yet b ) shouldn't you wait to see what kind of story it will be exactly?  c) you'll know you want to see the role anyway, bcs you're curious in everything he plays.

So yeah, there you have it. Maybe it is bad withdrawal I'm suffering from, mad Doctors ended, and stuff. I just hope we won't have to wait for the movies too long anymore, and I was really happy to read he totally wants to continue acting more, having new challences, maybe more dramas? (oh wowie) and yeah, the putting of family life because of career is not that smart I think, but that is totally his choice of course, and as long as he's happy, I'm still happy too.

 

Sorry guys for long post and negativity, but I needed to write this for myself. I hope you understand.  (they say writing it off is part of healing, and I know I'm totally gonna regret this afterwards)

hello to all new people! so nice to read what you like about our Prince. Makes me nodd and agree all the time. So much to like in this amazing actor

haha so you found new possible job to help our Prince, like Charlie's Angels? maybe we should just act with our Prince together? lol I'm sure he's a very good teacher and a great support to all his co-workers. I can really imagine him taking the time and explaining very well. He'll be like "remember, when I did like this in that movie/drama" and we"ll be like "oh yes, I remember, only saw it like a 1000 times" haha. If only we would be able to actually focus..

oh his friends found him a slow talker? I think that has changed by now. I think even a brilliant actor like our Prince learns new things every day through his acting, which he can apply in daily life too. Tbh, I did have a little hope he would re-activate some SNS after Doctors (and maybe through the influence of our beautiful PSH), but maybe he had some bad experience with SNS before, and decided to drop it..

or maybe he still hasn't found that password yet? (dear Prince, just make a new SNS, it's ok, you'll get followers, don't worry)

@irilight nice to see you! thank you for the post! oh busy busy, yes, life can be that way sometimes. our Prince has had a very busy period too. After a few interviews, and that trip with Doctors crew, I hope he takes time to rest

@maria1983 oh you had difficulty chosing? Yes, although they all apply to our Prince, there was one that I knew right away it's the one, and that is best actor of course. Isn't that why he made such profound impression on all of us? because he's such an amazing actor?

Yes, he should be ok! LOL he cooks really well, so he will eat food that are healthy and delicious!  then he will probably walk his dog and then sit around and go fishing! that's what I believe too, that he will be carrying those healing feelings for long time now and being between younger people who are full of hopes and dreams I think will have motivated him again or more do to all kind of stuffs in future. That action movie with PSH seems to be a great chance, don't it? I would like that a lot. I think Doctors was a good switch from the serious roles for a while. but how tired they must all be by now? I hope they take long rest. Vacation.

I'm not good at singing, at least not good enough for main vocalist. Best I can do is backing vocal. So the purpose is being in a band with our Prince? (sorry can't catch up where and how this idea started with all the posts hehe) Sorry can't do that. If the Prince is standing any where near I can't focus on anything else but the Prince. I will definitely forget all lyrics and I will open my mouth thinking I am singing but no sound comes out and I'll be just gasping at the Prince, totally like a fool!

I saw the pics of food truck for the Prince, ah, that's so nice! I'm happy to see fans are supporting the Prince a lot. I hope it gives him energy and motivation to keep on going, bcs I think at the end it's getting heavy (lack of sleep).

oh I don't think you're asking the right person, I also struggle with this haha. I don't know if anyone else has the same problem here but often I need to do it more than once. I type @ followed by the name , and sometimes this works from first time, but sometimes it won't turn blue, so I finish my text, and then I go back to the name, delete everything after the "@" and start typing the name again (and again and again) until I get a drop down list and then I continue to type the letters until I see the name of the person I want to mention (so that I don't have to type the whole name) and then when I click on it, it is blue. this is not efficient so I try to avoid it hehe. also some have difficult names so I need to remember the correct order of letters before typing haha. I think maybe @irilight can tell you the proper way to do this. I think she knows a lot about how to use soompi forums.

I like silly Dr Hong but I'm equally impressed by serious Dr Hong (when he's talking with the patients and the patients' guardians) . Like I forget that he is an actor playing a doctor, and I think he is really a doctor and that I would like my doctor/surgeon to be like him. I would feel so assured and not scared at all to go into surgery. (on a side note , Doctor "YD" does give that feeling to me too, and he's younger, but ofc I would choose Dr Hong haha)

oh he was in hawaii once? I did not know. oh he said thank you hehe those are important words and match his politeness. I read some comments about how he meticulously thinks about bringing his lines the best way possible. To me it seems he is smart yes, and always wanting to do the best and then even still not satisfied about what he did and being humble. if you think the roles in Punch and Doctors and the difficult vocabulary, to say them all, wow.

ah lala you are very good in finding solutions and making the problem to vanish (and make me think, what was the problem anyway?) hehe and the Prince will all bring it as if it is nothing, as if he was born like that to begin with hehe. 

oh I forgot to reply to one thing I did want to mention, I don't know which page, but in front of the food truck he did the little heart sign on pic haha so cute. Before Doctors, I did not expect him to do such things, he is funny and friendly off screen, but in my eyes always reserved and now this heart thingy hehe. cute cute cute!
