  1. Good on that host for cutting right to the chase and asking Liu Wen the one question that every other journalist has been too timid to ask! Now, there's a perfect platform for her to end the rumors and speculation once and for all: "No, we are not really dating; we were just on a dating show, that's all". Predictably, she failed to do so and played coy as per her usual practice which tells us all we need to know, really.

I suppose one might argue that Liu Wen couldn't respond in any other way if she didn't want to break the Chinese Internet via national television, but would she really do that at the expense of keeping the charade going and continuing to delude people?

    Not even a visit ?

Liu Wen has a very busy schedule both today and tomorrow, so no, she's not going to fly to Seoul between the 17th and 18th just to spend a little time with Siwon who has to enroll in the police force on the 18th (I think?). There's being hopeful, and then there's being delusional.

Perhaps we can hope for an extended visit during Christmastime, that is, if Siwon is allowed leave in that period. If he gets time off for the Lunar New Year, there may even be a visit then.

  3. Again, she doesn't deny anything when presented with the opportunity. Rather, she makes it sound like she does have something going on and wants to see where it goes before announcing anything. That's consistent with what we know of her from watching the show and reading interviews, etc.

So, I take it that she is in a relationship...I guess it's either the Singaporean guy or Siwon who's the lucky sod, eh? :P

  4. If we're constantly aware of her whereabouts and know for sure that she hasn't visited him while she's in Asia (I'm assuming that will be until February when the fashion weeks start), then I will be led to question the import of their relationship.

I doubt it will turn out that way, though. I'm sure there'll be plenty of times when her online presence is nonexistent and her physical location is unknown, so it's during any of those periods that she could be in Seoul.

I agree - all flight leaks are unethical and creepy unless it's a flight to Seoul!

Liu Wen's flight information has been leaked on the internet, once again.

She will be in Shanghai on the 14th, Beijing on the 15th, Changsha on the 16th and back to Shanghai on the 17th (and most probably still be in Shanghai on the 18th).

How creepy...who leaked this info? If Liu Wen isn't yielding such information willingly, her privacy is being grossly violated and one has to wonder who the culprit is and how he or she got their hands on these details.

As for Mr Chae's "I will be back soon Liu Wen", let me just be delulu and consider that he was passing the message for a certain military trainee, who will finally be out of training a week or so after that comment, when she too is in the region...

That's what I was thinking as well. The comment struck me as a bit off somehow, and certainly not like all his other one-word complimentary responses. Maybe a better friend might tell her he'd be back to NYC soon, but then you'd think such a pal would be aware that she's off to China and in all likelihood will be there for some time, possibly until the Lunar New Year. SW's informing LW through BG that he'll be able to get off of training soon, I'm telling ya. ;)

And my, does she look lovely in that latest update! So summery and very non-single, if you ask me! It's just slightly unfortunate for us that she's likely not traveling with a big gang everywhere she goes now as she seems to be done filming her series, so that means it's harder to be clued in to her whereabouts and whether she'd make a short hop on over to Seoul. On the other hand, it's good that she's mostly by herself these days too, as this increases the chances that she'll be spending some quality one-on-one time with you-know-who.

  7. I love how everyone on IG is automatically assuming that the pic of her in the recording studio must've been for the LV thing. What, Liu Wen can't be doing some professional singing or voiceovers for animation these days? :P

And I'm now beginning to understand why LW refuses to answer questions about her love life and even states outright to the media that she's single. Reading those annoying fan girls' comments on IG of "Forever 16!" or "I support Shi Liu!" in relation to posts that have nothing to do with SW or the relationship at all must have LW thinking...damn it...here I am working hard to promote myself and my brands, and these idiots only want to connect it all to SW somehow! Better tell them not to associate the program with real life to try and shut them up!

LW also singled out He Sui and Sun Fei Fei as model friends she tries to keep in contact with...here I was rhapsodizing about them as the Holy Trinity of Asian models and then I read this...I love it!

@allnaturalcrunchtime_stv just curious, what have the other Chinese models scored lately?  I always like Sun Feiei and she seems to have appeared in a few blue chip brands, a new comer with the last name of Wang has been very popular... Xi Mengyao is quite established, then there is He Sui.

Liu Wen is transitioning... People having been asking her about establishing her own clothing line, taking on acting roles, she talked about openning a coffee shop, being photographer....  She is definitely very popular now and hopefully that will translate into good opportunities

I only really follow the careers of He and Sun (alongside LW); the others haven't stood out to me much. I also quite like Tao Okamoto, but she doesn't really actively model anymore. The first three are celestial beings as far as I'm concerned, though, and this has been a great year for He and Sun. He was on the cover of at least one non-Chinese Vogue, and of course she got her first wings in the VS show this year (she looked out of this world!). Like Liu, He's achieved the Holy Grail of modelling which is a cosmetics contract (Shiseido), so she's pretty much set financially and can be picky in terms of work. She also recently got divorced after only seven months of marriage (if unsubstantiated reports on IG are to be believed), which is kind of sad considering she's still so young.

As for Sun, she's been in everything this year (major editorials and runways, tons of exposure), and let's not forget her third cover of what many consider to be the Fashion Bible, Vogue Italia. She is the first (and to date, only) Asian model to ever score a solo cover with VI, so she's already managed what LW couldn't. Sun's got some influential admirers, too; she's a favorite of Steven Meisel, and Lily-Rose Depp (Johnny's daughter who's very popular on social media) is also a fan which can only be beneficial for Sun. LW's by far the most financially successful and high-profile out of all the Asian models, and she'll do well in whatever (domestic) fields she branches out in, but as a fan I crave bigger and better things for her. She's had a lot of China-based work this year (which may be out of choice), but she needs more international prestige (a Western Vogue cover, major campaigns with, say, LV or Chanel) before she can be grouped alongside the likes of Turlington, Campbell and Moss.

And Mr. Chae's latest comment is...weird. It sounds disembodied; really not like what a casual acquaintance would say at all. It sounds more like what someone closer would say...if SW's been allowed no direct contact with LW so far in training, maybe he's communicating through Mr. BG? :P Either way, we should be seeing bgchae shutting down soon considering some disgusting idiots have already begun harassing him on IG. Thanks a lot, morons! As for LW being in the East during Xmas...lovely...that must be the most important holiday for SW and if he can return home at that time, we can hope for a reunion even though we'll likely never be aware of it!

  9. Looks like she's finally made it back to NYC from Chicago then - I did wonder why it had been 3 days since her last update on IG. I hope she's been getting plenty of work; a number of the other prominent Asian models have been scoring some pretty lovely gigs recently.

And bgchae's latest: "great!". You know, I really do think there's something to the fact that he's started commenting on her every IG post only since Siwon was enlisted. There's some sort of agreement between the two boys, I'm telling you! :P

  10. Adorable. If he sent a letter (who even uses snail mail these days?), perhaps he really doesn't have phone or online access at the moment.

Hmm...maybe the potential sis-in-law or secret girlfriend (hah!) has sent Jiwon something, too...if she did, I certainly hope Jiwon drops us a hint on IG. After all, LW gave Jiwon some pretty high-end gifts before...what more on her birthday!

  11. D10's lastest weibo update - he is very funny and he likes LW a lot

Ms @刘雯, I'm sorry for the chaos yesterday. There are so many people, so many words, so many neurons in human brain. But in spite of 13m Weibo fans, want u to know: I'm compact, so it's easy to locate me; Eco-friendly; I can do crazy things & I'm Korean. Saying just in case...

It's disturbing that people would find fault with his original post - what on earth was controversial about it? All I see is genuine admiration for Liu Wen...to be honest, if one can not like Liu Wen after watching LFIL and assorted videos of her, I'd have to question what's wrong with that person. :P Siwon meant it when he said that everyone just loves her, and it wouldn't surprise me if he likes that she's so likeable - she'd get along with his family, his bandmates, and anyone else he'd introduce her to. Oh, she'd be a trophy wife/girlfriend indeed, so one can hardly blame the two 10s for admiring her so. ;)

And the fact that Denis adds he's Korean "just in case" means that he's likely watched the show, is aware of the rumors about SW & LW, and is probably even a shipper. All the more reason to root for him come Worlds! :D

Hahaha denis is so cute. I really do hope he gets to meet Liu Wen someday and take pictures of her. At least now we know 2 admirer of LW.  Maximillian Hecker and Denis Ten ..

Anyhow.. i found an opinion from wonkyu shipper. I try to understand  their POV and perspective. . But i simply don't  get it.  I wonder were they really expecting siwon and kyuhyun to go public stating their relationship and get married?   Anyhow this is the recent link i've been reading.. anyone familiar with elf please do comment ...

    Wonkyu Shipper Thoughts

    Thanks heaps!

I don't even dare click the link, but considering how homophobic Siwon is, I wonder why these nutjobs think that there'd ever be a chance in H-E-L-L that he'd wind up with one of his bandmates. Although it must be said that the biggest homophobes usually have the most...feelings...suppressed...so, maybe the crazies fantasize that Siwon and Kyuhyun are secretly shacking it up on the down-low or some such shite like that.

  12. Yep, bgchae's latest is: "nice"...including the 'dancer with hands over her head' emoji...what, did he make a pact with Siwon that he'd stand in for him while Siwon has no online access?

And that bit about Denis Ten amuses me to no end because I'm a figure skating fan and actually do know of him. :D I post fairly regularly on a figure skating forum and have always found him adorable - he really emerged out of nowhere at the last Olympics and won a first ever medal for Kazakhstan in the sport (a bronze). He's from Kazakhstan but is an ethnic Korean, I believe. I do sneak a peek at his IG every now and then...I figured he wouldn't be too happy with China because he was on the presentation team for Almaty when they narrowly lost to Beijing this year for the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. Nice to see that setback hasn't dented his good taste in women. ;)

  13. bgchae's comment on Liu Wen's latest bike post: "looks Spring".

And Kculturefun, you're right, I suppose she could slip into Seoul without us even knowing about it. They would have to go out sometime, though, and Siwon is supposedly such a big star in his native land that I can't believe we won't get at least a few eyewitness accounts. It's kind of frustrating for us because if we don't get the slightest inkling that they've met, that gives us even less to talk about, but at the same time we want to be non-intrusive and give them their space. I've decided that if Liu Wen returns to China at the end of the year or early next year, remains there for some time and goes on a blackout, that'd mean she's visited Siwon. Even if I hear nothing about it, that's what I've decided in my mind.

  14. Good news when we can see the letter of Siwon and know that he still be good. I believe that he will be good in any environments. Yesterday i saw friend of Siwon follow Liuwen. I wonder why he didn't follow her earlier when he liked many pics of her before? He also start to comment on every her post recently:wub:" Take care Liuwen", " Safe trip Liuwen" .Haha. Ok, you are a good brother of Siwon, so you take care for our Liuwen. As i've seen, there are many pepole related to Siwon followed IG of Liuwen and Liuwen only follow back Siwon and Jiwon.:)

Interesting...and a positive sign! This is bgchae, right? Siwon's best friend? Please do keep us updated in regards to his future comments.

So, he only starts following Liu Wen after Siwon's enlisted...does Siwon have phone or online access while he's in training? Maybe Mr. Chae was tasked with looking in on Ms. Liu since Mr. Choi is unable to; either that, or this is his cue to put the moves on while the big man himself is out of the picture. Judas! :P

The impression I got from watching LFIL is that Liu Wen is kind of flapping out there in the wind; carefree and essentially a happy person, certainly, but also lonesome and quite walled up, too. I feel like she needs someone to take care of her; I think Siwon is aware of this, and it informs his dynamic with her (remember the scrapbook?). Didn't her friends say they had been praying for a good man to come along and do just that? So, it makes sense that he'd want someone to check up on her if he's unable to...who knows, maybe Jiwon does that by phone, too...I'm sure she'd leave comments on Liu Wen's IG as well (she did once) if the threat of nutjobs going berserk wasn't ever present.

  15. From what I understand in earlier articles, she makes it a point to spend August and end of the year holidays with her family... question being end of what year? If it's the Chinese new year, then perhaps that will have to wait until end of Jan/early February before we see her back in Asia once more. Whatever it is, I hope to see her in the vicinity again in the near future. And whether one believes it or not, LDR does work even when one goes for months or more without seeing one another physically, as long as the lines of communication are consistently open, and I say this from personal experience. Whatever it is, ultimately it really depends on the commitment and trust between the two people who are involved. From all intents and purposes, she has repeatedly spoken about commitment as the staple in a relationship... so hopefully it is that way as well between them.

I've no doubt they do work, but if she's in China and he's in Korea on their downtime during Christmas or CNY when they can meet out of the spotlight and yet they don't, I will start to wonder. It's not like if they're busy or it wouldn't be the best time to meet; if they don't reunite for those reasons, that I can understand. Once again, I'm merely commenting as someone on the outside looking in; maybe things are going fantastically strong between them even if they don't meet up when they're able to, but I can only say how it looks like to me if they don't.

And if she has to be in NYC for the winter fashion season, I doubt she'll be able to make it back to Asia at the end of January or early February.

  16. At this rate, I may have to fly down to the Windy City to hopefully run into her. :P I did think her awfully cute video greeting from the Cloud Gate was rather interestingly titled "Cold weather VS warm heart!!"...hmm...why exactly is your heart feeling warm, Ms. Liu? Makes me wonder who that message was meant for as she doesn't usually make it a habit of issuing direct hellos to her supporters.

And is she in Chicago primarily for work or play? I assume her entourage doesn't always follow her around everywhere; they probably did so these past few months only because she was filming her series. Unless she's in town for more Wen Li, I doubt they're there with her now although the female manager may already have flown to the U.S. to rejoin her.

What are the chances Liu will be back in Asia by the end of the year or for Chinese New Year? Not very high, I'm thinking, considering she was just there for such a long time. I know she's spoken of her inability to be with her family during CNY because it coincides with the start of the fashion season, but hopefully next year will be different. I won't get my hopes up because a pre-enlistment reunion never came to pass, but if they miss opportunities to meet up for Christmas or CNY even when they're able to, I will start to wonder. Long-distance relationships can work, but they don't stand much chance of surviving if you go for months or even years without seeing each other when you could if you made the effort.

  17. Yes, thanks for that translation, liddi! Still the same beating around the bush as always (Siwon is so "gracious", tasks arranged by the program - how professional!), but at least things aren't so dire on the shipper front now. I would really like to know why Liu Wen of all people was singled out by the production team to the extent that they would bother contacting her managers in both NY (I'm assuming this is George Speros of The Society Management) and China (Ms. Ren?). She isn't an entertainment figure or a household name, and I get the impression that models don't garner a great deal of attention in China. Maybe the lady had to be one with considerable cachet and not just some two-bit TV actress as they had a male star in mind ("star" being the operative word)...certainly I can't imagine Siwon accepting the job not caring at all who he would be paired with. He didn't need the fame or the salary...someone needs to wriggle out of him the main reason why he did the show...once that's answered, it'll be easier for us to determine the likelihood that they really are together.

And it looks like H&M is going ahead with those shots after all...ugh, the waxiness, THE WAXINESS!

  18. I'd be stunned if H&M plasters these shots (as is) on billboards; they're a huge brand, and their celebrity campaigns (like the recent one featuring David Beckham) are normally so natural-looking and professionally done. Maybe their quality standards are lower when it comes to Asia-only campaigns, but even so, I can't believe such badly airbrushed, awkwardly plastic shots would be deemed acceptable. I swear, Siwon's facial hair looks painted on...terrible. Remember their joint ELLE cover shoot? Aside from Siwon's bad haircut, they looked so relaxed, so gorgeous without a hint of artifice in those photos, and of course the accompanying videos corroborated that. Funny how their chemistry in photo shoots is more evident while they were working on LFIL - maybe that's because those high-school feelings were still on a high back then, whereas the challenges and strain of maintaining a long-distance relationship are now beginning to show.

And those translations of Liu Wen's latest comments aren't very positive at all, but that's the way it always is with these two...up and down, up and down, just like on a see-saw. We get overwhelming evidence that they're together and then little slivers of naysaying info come trickling in, making us doubtful...we've been on this merry-go-round so often that I've decided that until we get incontrovertible proof that either one is dating someone else, I'm going to continue believing that they're a couple.

  19. Don't get me wrong, I always love to see new stuff featuring these two, but I'm still not a fan at all of these shots even upon further examination. I actually think Liu Wen looks good and every inch a model, but there's something off about Siwon; maybe it's due to the excessive PS, but he looks like he's trying too hard, some of his poses are effeminate, and he just doesn't pull off certain clothing combos (the leather pants, vermillion top and clunky shoes are hideous). One can tell he isn't a professional model; I can't help thinking how fantastic someone like Daisuke Ueda would've looked modelling these clothes opposite Liu Wen.

Contrast these pics with the early promo shots SW & LW did for the show (in matching jeans and white tees and with LW in a mermaid skirt) in which they both look gorgeous, fresh, and with so much chemistry between them that one could bite into it.

I reiterate my earlier stance: these had better be leaked shots which aren't meant for final usage!

  20. Hmm...I thought the H&M campaign wouldn't be released until next year? I hope these leaked shots aren't the final versions...the Photoshopping is excessive, the posing seems awkward, and these just don't look billboard-ready at all. Liu Wen doesn't fare as badly as Siwon...that second photo is especially horrific...he looks more feminine than her in that one. If I didn't know anything about them, I'd have thought Liu Wen did a photo shoot with her gay stylist or something.

We'd better get some videos and entirely different takes which will be used in the campaign next year.
