  1. @IBELIS, @Miky88: it would be great to see that :) . I think the problem why it couldn't happen is that ES doesn't still believe she time-travelled back 700 years back in time to Goryeo era, full of magical powers. Only now, she is coming to terms that this isn't a dream and she probably still thinks it's just a different country.

@Miky88: You're right, the music score is simply beautiful, I fell in love with it from the beginning when we first saw the royal caravan but with every episode there is some new piece of music that appears and I become bewitched even more :x

  2. @myphim2009: I agree with you that Faith had the potential to be popular in China from the get go. I think that one of the main reasons is the fact that the Chinese imposed a ban on the domestic production and tv companies to produce any new time-travelling series on the ground that there were too many of them (Princess Returning the Pearl, Gong, Bu Bu Jing Xin,...) and they used to distort the historical facts too much. Plus it happened in a time when the demand and addiction for them was at the highest peak. I think they must see this new wave of time-travel dramas from Korea as a godsend for them and the thing that it is is full of hot men doesn't hurt much, too :P

  3. @marie67. I think he can't help himself but notice her and not only because he feels honor-bound to protect her and keep his promise (which represents for him a huge failure since he couldn't keep his word) and you really can see him wanting to keep it because while he desires to leave the king's service it's apparent he still wants to return her back to the "heaven's" world. She is completely different from the women in his era, not bound by the traditions of that time, both in appearance (red hair, trousers) and temperament. I can't wait for more interactions between them, always they appear on the screen together you can literally feel the tension and intensity :x .

  4. Just few quick thoughts before I get my hands on the HQ version torrent:

The first half was a little bit slow for my taste but it picked up the pace in the second. However, they should seriously do something with that luckluster editing.

We learned that the king met the princess before their introduction, he thought her a Goryeo person who was also held prisoner and wanted to run away with her, he told her he doesn't want to marry the Yuan girl that was showed on him. It looks like she liked him from the beginning.

I loved the last 10 minutes :x Those people who think there is no chemistry between them are seriously blind. It burns.5279298c.jpg70f2d5a6.jpg2aeb27d0.jpg2c6bed94.jpgecf40464.jpg729591fa.jpg

  5. @luckybearz: Well, we can tell only from the two episodes that were aired, but it looks really promising. I think there is a different approach to the whole time travel business compared to those previous two, for one, it is the person from the present that travels to the past, which is set up in an alternative universe full of mystical powers, and probably for the first time ever in a k-drama, it is the woman who is spirited away through a magical portal by a warrior from the 14th century's Goryeo era. The acting is great, the costumes are beautiful, with gorgeous cinematography and well-thought story. You should certainly give it a shot  :-bd

  6. I've just got this crazy idea that since lighting is practically electricity, CY could serve ES as a substitute battery charger for her phone and surgical glasses :D (THE SEXIEST BATTERY CHARGER ALIVE =P~  )

    7ebc8eed.gif

I imagine that's how look the computer screens of many LMH's fans :P  (I bet they would kill for the possibility to have him monitored by CCTV right into their computers =; )

  7. If you watched the long 6-minute trailer carefully, you've noticed that the director paid homage to the primary Faith drama that began its filming in the second half of 2010 with Kang Ji Hwan cast as Choi Young, with higher budget and intended to be filmed in 3-D. From the main cast and crew remained only KHS, Lee Philip, the director and the scriptwriter as the famous three musketeers with D'Artagnan, faithfully fighting until the actual air date =D> .

    1) If we look at the long preview again, we'll notice that Kang Ji Hwan, actually, made his appearence in it @-)  (probably the reason we can't see Lee Jun Ki in it, too, is that he was shipped off to army duty before he could even begin the filming in Jeju ;)

     2) You can clearly see that it's the same scene with the same actors. By the way, don't you also think that LP looked even hotter in his previous look  =P~

    4) It's your choice: older version with facial hair or younger version without it :D (with my vote counted in the result is - 0:1 the shaved magician with ponytail ;) )

  8. Only one day to go until the perfection that is Faith arrives again <:-P

Considering that ES is still wearing her 21st century clothes I think this scene is coming up in episode 3 :x I can't wait!!!

To kill some time here is another MV of Faith:

  9. I've read many comments stating that LMH's General Choi is too thin and fragile looking, with no scars on his face or facial hair. I'd say he's tall with long limbs (quickness - advantage), muscular but lean  (flexibility - another advantage). And I don't really see him being injured by a mere mortal (even if the said mortal would want to unless CY would deliberately take the blow  ;) ), when he commands the power of lighting (which was in the Greek mythology reserved for Zeus the most powerful of all the gods and their king =; or in the Norse, for Thor, son of Odin) and can take down the whole highly trained SWAT team from the "heavenly" 21th century without so much as breaking a sweat ^:)^  \m/

  10. My take on the ratings situation:

Frankly, I'm almost sick that such a well-thought, gorgeously filmed, well-acted drama scored for its first 2 episodes lower ratings than that mess that Dr. Jin was X( . I suspect the main thing is that Faith premiered as the latest of the three Mon/Tue dramas. HL wouldn't normally gain such stellar ratings but there was no other rom-com at that time that was being broacast, it has the summer feeling and premiered a week sooner during the Olympics and people who didn't want to watch sports switched over, plus the main role is portrayed by the actress who quite recently gained the attention with the erotic historical movie The Concubine. Another important factor is that Faith is going against Golden Time which is also a medical drama. GT has been airing the longest time of the three and has been slowly and inconspicuously gaining momentum in the past month (by tenths of percents by still steadily growing).

I view it as a positive sign that Faith's 2nd episode gained slightly in the AGB ratings by almost 1%. Quality series are not always outright hits (look at MTETS), even BM took 18 episodes to get close to the 20% mark, raising by slow steps (apparently viewers needed to get used to it, competition finished its airing, head start in front of the others, latter stages of drama usually gain higher ratings than the beginning).

I think that the next week's ratings will be very telling, whether F's ratings will slowly but steadily rise I'll be hopeful. To tell the truth, I'd been hoping for ratings around the 14% for the first 2 episodes, however, neither it was a miss in the ratings. The future doesn't look that bad either, GT's already aired 11 episodes and it was planned for 20 (maybe 1 episode extension looks likely), if Faith can at least remain competitive with it until it finishes its airing then the time to strike will come  :-B because MBC's next Mon/Tue drama is going to be Horse Doctor and let's face it, it's not actually the type of a drama that would be striving from an excessive attention from Korean audiance (KTH's Grand Prix was a total flop at box office) :)

  11. @Joonni: Thank you very much again :) . I wrote Joonni and Softy on J's website and asked them for the translation of the long 6-minute preview and Joonni translated it for us in a span of barely several hours ^:)^ ! She is really incredible  :-bd ! So here is again the link and if anyone is interested in the recaps for Faith by Softy and Joonni you can also find them there:

  12. Lately, I've noticed that there always seems to be a strong negative reaction from fans when a drama pairs an older actress with a younger actor, and frankly I don't get it. In 90% of k-dramas there is always a guy who is older than the girl by 2, 4 or more years and nobody even blinks about it, however, when it is the other way around, you always hear comments - she is too old for him, they have zero chemistry, cast someone younger 8-|. And even when the story makes the guy slightly older so the age difference doesn't get much into the story, you always hear - it doesn't make a difference he still looks too young for her. You know, what's funny, all the time you read news and comments how the actresses look young and sexy, have perfect skin and figures but they only need to be cast opposite a younger actor and they turn into old hags who have no chemistry whatsoever with their male counterpart =)) And even the actual stories doesn't help much. For instance, take AGD: Yoon was over 15 years older than Maeri but at the end they got married and had their happily ever after, or The Man Who Can't Get Married was the same case - almost everytime the scenario involves older guy/younger girl there is a wedding. Whereas if there is older woman/younger guy scenario you get always the same - an open ending where they decide to give it a shot and see how it turns out while the main reason is that the man needs to mature to deserve her (such bullshits) and for them to have their HEA 8-| (apparently the women in the previous scenario don't need that and can jump into marriage from the get go [-( - Big, Dalja's Spring, Still, Marry Me - it's always the same song %-(

Let's face it, k-dramas are mainly about romance for fans, even when they aren't exactly advertised as such, and when I read through the various threads the discussion about romance, love, OTPs, shipping,..., always takes integral part in them. Romance (I ship CY and ES like crazy and always when they are on screen I can feel the air spark with their chemistry :x ), action, suspense, cinematography, music, Lee Min Ho ;) that's why we are all here so let's enjoy it to the fullest and boost this thread with our lively discussion, news, photos and videos >:D<

  13. @myphim2009: Thank you for uploading those amazing gifs :) I totally dig the bromance between Choi Young and Jang Bin :x. Hotness overload =P~. They look together like those yaoi manga characters :> I think I have found my secondary OTP =;1934569.gif1934665.gif

@IBELIS: I hope not I wouldn't survive another Rooftop Prince kind of ending :-S

    What I'm looking foward to:

    1. First meeting between CY and Hwa Soo In. It looks like they met in the past, HSI is intrigued by him and is trying to seduce him, now.16q4h1.jpgm8jpj4.pngpoas1.png2ed9kaw.png
    2. The fight between CY and Chun Eum Ja. The deadly flute against the honorable sword \:D/. Bring it on \m/2qapq94.png
    3. I'm in serious need of an english translantion of the 6-minute long preview  ~X(  PLEASE, HELP ME  [-O<  because from what I understand it looks like CY's powers are exceptional even for this magic-ladden world full of mystical forces - he's even able to withstand Chun Eum Ja's magical attacks - I think that in the long preview Gi Cheol mentions who CY exactly is (as in what he is capable of). I'm totally on edge and curious :-? :-/  so again, please, help me find the translation   [-O<  .dr86tj.png24n4fwh.pngbfjk48.png15ocv9y.png2ce6y9v.pngab5t0o.png

  14. @saladyum: If you want to upload a pic here is a great tutorial on soompi together with other handy advices:

    http://forums.soompi.com/discussion/2002719/soompi-forum-how-tos/p1

First find a website where you will upload your pics from your computer, I use this one usually: http://tinypic.com/ or http://imgur.com/. Upload it there, choose the "Direct Link for Layouts" link and paste it into the window that will appear after clicking on the icon insert image (the one that looks like a picture of a tree) in your Editor box(= Leave a Post), then click on "submit" and the picture will upload on your editor box and then just post your comment. I hope I've helped you at least a little :) .

@saladyum: I should think that a swim in a lake could be a worthy substitute for a shower scene =P~ , what do you say ;)?

@ad_fa: Thank you, I appreciate it very much :)

And here, a new pictures of Chun Eum Ja

  15. @marie67: Thanks!!! I like your posts, too :). You're right the week won't consist only of waiting for the preview of the next episode of BM and the actual next episode (sometimes I'm not even sure what I'm waiting for more the first or the second :P). Plus there is still Arang and TTBY (I've noticed you there ;) ). And don't worry, you are NOT a player you are simply a fan with many loyalties which considering the amount of dramas aired every year is your prerogative :-bd

  16. After watching today's episode live and rewatching in HD I must say I like this drama more and more. I think that some of the focus in this episode shifted to introducing the enemies and their nefarious schemes(frankly, the scenes with the old politicians bored me to death but I understand it was important to the story (:| ).

    1. CY as the most talented potential operating room assistant not only in Goryeo :-bd2hh2np2.png1zlf0at.png
    2. FINALLY!!! SOMEONE FOUND OUT THE REAL PURPOSE OF THOSE KILLER HEELS <:-P! ES, I knew you were smart, well done =D> .dm6u55.gif
    3. LIGHTNING-SHIELD THROW by our own Choi Young \m/! I don't remember seeing that while watching the Olympics B-)ej6djl.gif
    4. ES, you lucky girl! CY carried you over his shoulder, in his arms, holded you in his arms, holded your hand (5 or 6 times, not that I was counting), saved your life and that all happened in an interval of just several hours (here, in the real world, just ONE episode)! That must have set a new record for the most body contact between one couple per one episode in a k-drama.16bjxht.jpg255jh3a.jpg29et9mu.jpgvrbuh5.jpg
    5. And at last, ONE RESIGNED GORYEO GENERAL. That's what does a 21st century girl to men who are 700 years older than her :))gTRt1.gif

@marie67: I've noticed a certain lack of suspense compared to BM, too. However, I think the main reason is that there hasn't been any real cliffhanger so far as opposed to BM where KT ends at a gunpoint at the end of almost every episode X_X . Plus there are still previews, thank god. I've noticed a similarity between the main protagonists of Faith and BM: they share the same given name - Choi Young x Lee Young :>
