@rrmski: I know what you mean, my senses go always on high alert everytime they appear on the screen together :x I've been calling their chemistry sizzling and cracking, however, everytime I used those words I knew they're not the right expressions to describe the tension that is between them, until today when I've finally found the right word for their chemistry - RAW :\"> , their romance is of the more mature kind without those many cutesy gestures that you can see in other dramas, it's a nice change and something I've been waiting for a long time, it gives it a more real feeling.
And ES :x She is simply RADIANT, both in appearance and temperament (I don't know who it was but the person who got the idea to make her hair red is a genius :-bd ), and so very different from all the other women in the drama, she really shines. I'm not suprised CY is so affected by her. I really hope we get to see at least some of the scenes I put into my preview post [-O< :x

I think that episode 5 & 6 are going to be crucial both story-wise and ratings-wise: So, Mr. Director, sit yourself behind the editing table and give us finally some decent editing worthy of Faith! Show us, you're capable of a cliffhanger ending, too [-O< . I must admit that some improvement in that regard occured already in episode 4 when we didn't end the episode seeing CY dozing off nor asleep, but instead cut it off in the middle of a conversation. It shows that the director takes small steps towards the cliffhanger ending but may eventually (hopefully) get there ;

@daRings: Yes, KC is of a high Goryeo gentry but still subordinate of the king, so officially the king is above him, however, since all the previous kings were weak and the current king was absent for a long time, KC seized the power with his money and everyone is afraid of him because his group of assassins with supernatural powers. So basically, the king has only his title and the people that are loyal to him.
I'm not sure about KC powers, I think we have to wait and see. HSI (the red fire girl) is not his real sister, she is just his disciple sister, from the time they'd trained under the same master (so KC probably has some powers), and there is also CEJ who controls the sound and kills with his flute, he is their younger disciple brother, both HSI and CEJ are afraid of KC. KC is starting to admire CY's power and wants him to switch sides and come to him, he wants to own the power of lighting that CY controls and that is so rare.
I highly doubt that HSI is the girl from CY's past . They look slightly similar with that hairstyle but still different plus when she met CY she asked if he is really the chief of the kingsguard so it was their first meeting.

@daRings: Yuan was an old Mongolian empire that was much stronger than Goryeo and the kings had to swear fealty to it or else Yuan would attack Goryeo. There were also tributes,they had to pay like money, warriors or young innocent girls that were sent to Yuan to positions that were just slightly better than prostitutes.
The Yuan empire took the king as a hostage, so this together with the above stated is the reason why he hates Yuan so much and the princess stands for everything that Yuan represents.
No one greets him when he arrives because KC( the bad guy in white is of royal blood, too, and in the king's absence seized power over the politicians and gentry. You could notice when CY was visiting him that they were all there. The king came back to Goryeo from Yuan. KC wants him dead so he could seize even more power.True CY, is from Goryeo, but not all Goryeo people have special powers, only certain ones, and he is one of them. His family of assassins controled the power of lightning, HSI controls the fire, CEJ the sound ,for instance, and so on. The king doesn't have special powers because the scriptwriter simply didn't want him to have it

I hope I helped you at least a little and answered some of your questions@missyu.shi: I'm certain they're not in a live shooting schedule. I have no idea why is the editing lucklaster, maybe they simply neglected it, and unfortunately didn't choose different cameras. To tell you the truth, based on the realeased photos and videos I even think that they must have at least 9 episodes in the bag.
Let's wait for the next 2 episodes, I expect the story to pick up the pace there

Since there is no preview for episode 5, yet, I've decided to make a small preview post of mine own
. But I warn you, don't expect from me any semblance of objectivity, I'm a goner for the OTP so this is going to be CY/ES pairing heavy . Thus based on the trailers, behind the scenes videos and photos I put together this little post of what we could expect in episode 5 (possibly in episode 6):The main clue is this dress that we saw ES wearing at the end of the last episode. And from the evidence below we can as well proclaim it the lucky dress ;
:1) I think he's going to save her and they will travel together after that
2) Their conversation on the road
ES: "I’m a bit of a little clueless. I’m sorry." CY: "There was a reason why I said that."
ES: "I got it, okay! I’ll pretend I didn’t hear it. But what I can do if I already heard it!"
3) ES telling CY her name
4) HSI meeting CY after that
HSI: "He might also say your name. Our ***”sa hyung”***. I saw…that he wanted you more and more." "He might also say this. The date (you/he/she?) promised to claim the heart of ***”Eui-sun”***"
5) ES seeing the goodness in CY (the story arch with the little boy)
6) Followed by this :x :\"> \:D/ (I think it may happen after he rescues her but it didn't match my chronological order)
7) After this, ES will offer to CY to follow her to the 21th century
ES: "Can’t we go together? You don’t have to kill anymore there. So come with me, to Heaven’s world."

The more I learn about the real CY the more I think there won't be a HEA for my beloved OTP :-S . He seems to me like a first class national hero, any nation would kill for to have in their history books, with the historical importance comparable to Napoleon crossed with battle prowess and moral compass of William Wallace (JUST TALLER, BETTER LOOKING, MORE DRESSED AND WITH HIGHER STANDARD OF PERSONAL HYGIENE
).It's occured to me that one of the main reasons (maybe even the most important one) for him to choose his path as a Goryeo general is to fight for the future of the people on Korean Peninsula, that is the future where the only woman he has ever loved is going to be born. For a future where she could live and save lives he would live, fight and gladly put his life on the line. His purpose to live.
The only hope and clue for them ending up together could be that CY lived to a ripe old age considering he was a soldier, I mean, if they hadn't cut his head off he could have lived even longer. But that's just a fool's hope :-S
I must be a sucker for punishment :-S. Why must I choose an OTP where there is possibility of their HEA below zero
( . What's worse I've even started to watch Arang (another case of my patological masochism), great chemistry but compared with Faith it's cuter while CY-ES is a more mature relationship, and of course, the heroine must be a ghost and they've even found her cold dead body ( no possibility of resuscitation, resurrection or not even a case of mistaken identities) while the hero is very much alive :-S . Dead + alive = fat chance for HEA, since of course she wouldn't allow him to die for her.But I can't just leave it be for my own good. CY and ES have such a cracking chemistry and potential awesomeness that I can't bear to give them up. Even though, there is no way ES would put her happiness in front of the future of all the people of all the future states on KP. By the way, have I mentioned that I always choose the most self-sacrificial heroine of them all ;
Take it hell, the Goryeo people already changed the future by bringing ES back in time, why can't CY and ES change the past and be together [-O< ?!! (I know this is no match for the future of a nation, but one can still dream)
What I'm curious about is how the time flow really works because we could see that barely 2 minutes in Goryeo era dimension equalize to several hours in the 21th century (and it looked to me like CY has noticed it, too). If is ES really going to return, then to what kind of future is she going to return exactly :-/ :-/

@maartjeheit: You know, though FF is one of my favourite Korean movies, it really is largely a fiction with very little actual historical facts. The story of the movie is only very slightly inspired by the rule of king Gongmin and by slightly I mean it also happened in the 14th century during Yuan's decline
You can't expect too much historical accuracy from one of the famous Korean historical/erotic movies (like Concubine, Servant, Portrait of a Beauty). People don't watch them because of historical accuracy but for the pretty half-naked/wholly naked people that are "embracing" ; each other there =; ... aaand the beautiful cinematography, music and actors' performances, of course -

After re-watching again in HD, the 4th episode seems like a set up for something bigger, I think that the next 2 episodes will be the real turning point in the story. I hope I'm not wrong since Faith is in a dire need of it together with suspense and some hardcore romance ;

Thor?! )2) We have learned why CY is so protective of his sword and what a heartbreaking backstory it was. He had to watch his surrogate father die by the hands of a mad king and his best friend being sexually harrased by the same lunatic. Poor CY :-S. Seeing his only family being destroyed, seeing that the man for whom they were risking their lives and dying for years was a monster, a monster to whom he was made to swear fealty and serving him against his better judgement - I'm not suprised that from the cheerful young man became a hardened warrior without a care for his life :-S

About the rain, in the last gif it's raining (my addiction to Faith has reached unhealthy proportions, so I notice these tiny details 8-} ), you can see the rain in the backround and CY's hair are wet, maybe there is even blood on his chin and neck, and he is putting his shield behind her back so he's probably protecting and rescuing her. I suppose it could be followed by this scene: -

@Heart.And.Soul: I hope you are right, I share your opinion. Actually, today I was excited for the preview of episode 5 even more than for today's episode (unfortunately they didn't air it) because, as you said, in the long preview there is the fight scene between CY & CEJ, and what's more the actual romance between CY and ES moves foward (in today's episode she is already wearing the outfit for the horse-riding scene with CY and we know that he has his shield with him so there will be a fight scene, maybe he will fight to protect her :x ). I can't wait to see this (the scene in the rain, wet CY =P~ ) :x :
I had literally tears in my eyes during this scene, poor CY :-S , I'm not suprised he wants to get from those corrupted and pervese royals as far away as possible. I so wish a happy ending for him with ES, she is the only one that can get him out of his tortured shell :x

@marie67: I agree with you. I, too, expected more from the camera work, it's ok, but for a drama of this proportions I would imagine something more gorgeous, look at BM, Arang or QIHM. It looks like the director remained stuck in "the Legend era (2007)" and forgot to upgrade to today's standards. It's quality craftsmanship so to say but he doesn't add anything extra
After episode 4, I miss the excitement for more, when you can't help yourself but feel your heart beating for what's going to happen, it's such a pity since Faith has so much potential. I hope the ratings won't drop [-O< @otchosais: I don't have doubts, as you said, about liking Faith, but after watching today's episode live, I feel a little letdown since I know that Faith can do better. It's not a sin to criticize someone you love in order for him/her/it to become better because you know he is capable of it

( I'm not much impressed by today's episode, unfortunately
. The highlights were, for sure, CY's backstory (I must admire LMH's acting prowess, he showed again how much he's improved since CH), CY's fight with HSI and CY & ES scene. The rest dragged too much for my taste and the editing remained as luckluster as before, plus no cliffhanger again, it didn't bother me before since we were still at the very beginning of the story, however, I was expecting some nailbiter at the end of today's episode, maybe ES's kidnapping, to hook the viewers, and it's been promoted as an action fantasy extravaganza so I hoped for a little more of both but there was not much of it ( -
