Here is the translation for the David McInnis' interview pertaining to Kyo.  Translated from the Chinese translations by Kyo's weibo fan account.

"In episode 11, there was a time where Argus kidnapped Kang Mo Yeon to threatened Yoo Shi Jin.  There was a scene where Song Hye Kyo was tied to a chair and was hit in the face with a gun.  It was hard to act it out.  My heart was hurting, felt very sad because I have to use my hand holding the gun to constantly hit SHK's face, so have to be very careful when acting it out.  Also the scenes where I was pointing a gun to her forehead, I was very worried about SHK.

@joongkyo, it's not that we are not excited about the movie.  Any new project from Kyo will be worth getting excited about, but because we have been trolled so many times in the past by these articles that we would like to have official confirmation first before getting excited.  So far there has not been any solid evidence that Kyo will be starring in this movie aside from that article I posted before (it seems like everyone on weibo is using that article too to post their news).  There had been news about Kyo starring in "Broken Hell" and "Ferryman" in the past also, but those movies had been turned down by Kyo yet they still put her name in the news articles.

Here is an article from Variety talking about 'Europe Raiders'.  Most likely Tony Leung and Wu Yifan will star in it.  Tony Leung and Wong Kar Wai go hand in hand for the past 20 years already and this movie is being produced by Jet Tone Films which is Wong Kar Wai's company.

@vu_hoa1983, thanks for the info.  I went to search for it on weibo and baidu because I didn't see it.  I still don't see this news on SHK baidu or her weibo fan account, but I did find this news article about it.  This film is called "Europe Raiders" and is the sequel to Jingle Ma's 2005 'Seoul Raiders' and 2000 'Tokyo Raiders'.  Jingle Ma will be directing this sequel also.  Tony Leung was the male lead for both Seoul Raiders and Tokyo Raiders.  So I guess they'll try to sign him on for the third time.  Tony Leung and Wu Yifan (Kris) have their names attached to this project since March already, but I think this is the first the female leads' names are seen (Song Hye Kyo and Tang Yan (Tiffany)).  So according to this article, the leads of "Europe Raiders" have been determined to be Tony Leung, Wu Yifan, Song Hye Kyo and Tang Yan.  This movie will crank up in May and because of the very strong line-up, it is expected to be released on 2017 Lunar New Year.

Hmm, I really don't know what to make of this.  There's been quite a few 'rumors' and 'speculations' regarding Kyo in Chinese movies in the past and most of them turned out to be false.  I think we should just wait for the official news from Kyo   Personally I'm hoping her next project will be a domestic one.

hi @strawberry555, may I ask where did you hear about the rumor of Kyo in NY again?  There are some confusion at the shippers' thread regarding where Kyo was after her HK trip so I posted this clarification there and I hope this will help clarify certain rumors here too

Since I've seen some posts commenting about the April 8th sighting of Kyo at Gimpo Airport and some fans are speculating that she went to this place or that place, I just want to clarify something.  This pic of Kyo at the Gimpo Airport that was posted on April 8th was an old pic of Kyo from a few years ago according to her long-time Chinese fans at the SHK baidu bar (you can see from the clothes they were wearing that it was probably winter when this pic was taken).  Kyo left HK on April 6th to go back to Korea so I don't think she went anywhere else until this Jeju trip recently.

A lucky Taiwanese fan got signatures of both SJK and SHK with the help of her friend.  The fan said her friend got Kyo's signature on April 10th in Korea and that Song-Song did not give their signatures together (meaning the friend got their signatures on separate days).

A lady from KBS interviewed Kyo and got her signature on April 15. 

So according to these timelines, I'm pretty sure Kyo didn't go anywhere until this really recent trip to Jeju Island.

The photography director of DotS was on KBS' "godtv" on April 18 and he talked about Kyo.  Here is the translation (cr to SHK's weibo fan account for the Chinese translations ):

In the program, he talked about the scene where the car was hanging from the edge of the cliff and fell into the water.  "Because it's a drama, they survived.  If it's real, of course they will die."  He also mentioned the filming for the earthquake part, "there was a lot of glass, so there were a lot of minor injuries."

The host asked the director if SHK has any special requests for the camera when filming, he replied, "did not expect it to come out so beautiful, like a CF.  She asked me to emphasize on the acting when filming, she wants the acting to win the audience (meaning she wants the audience to notice her acting more than her beauty).  He also mentioned that Kyo specifically asked him to focus on the 'eye staring' scenes, a great passion for acting.

Regarding some unnatural CG pictures, he said "usually actresses are very focused on the beauty of the picture, would specifically asked to make it beautiful, but SHK did not care even when her face was full of dirt, would even smeared her own face.  She said the earthquake scene would come out even more beautiful this way."

The director also said when filming SHK's crying scenes, he would cry himself, the staff would be sad with her together.  He explained, "the actor's feelings and the producer's feelings are in sync at times".  In addition, he recalled that at the filming set, SHK is the one with the most smiles.

"SHK is very lovely and cute, but is also the ultimate perfectionist, which makes people curious.  As with SJK who is very much in line with the character of YSJ, SHK is also 100% similar to KMY.  KMY is a very sensible and cool character, is someone who demands perfection in her career, is a woman who's in control of herself.  SHK has these characteristics herself.  At the filming set, SHK and KMY are very similar.  When filming, each picture and each scene have strict requirements, will insist on showing perfect acting, full of enthusiasm for the performance (PD praised also by showing a thumbs up).

SHK also becomes very lively at the filming set and is an amusing atmosphere maker.  Therefore the producer crew is very fond of this SHK.  Just like her Haesung Hospital medical team, SHK is the driving force for a solid teamwork."

Even though we are all going crazy with DotS lately, I've realized that the 3rd anniversary of the TWTWB conclusion has passed and cherry blossoms season is here again.  As much as I love SHK as KMY, I also love her as Oh Young (and of course her other characters too).

It was recently reported that Song Hye Kyo, along with a professor named Seo Kyung Duk from a Korean women’s university, had donated Korean guidebooks to the historic sites of Korean provisional governments in China.

During Japanese occupation of Korea in the 20th century, Koreans in exile set up a provisional government in various cities in China. A few of these sites have been preserved as museums.

Song Hye Kyo and Professor Seo have already donated Korean guidebooks to the sites in Xiangzhou and Chongqing and have now donated to the one in Changsha.

Professor Seo said, “On April 13, we donated 10,000 Korean guidebooks to the Changsha site in order to commemorate the day the provisional government was established. Starting April 15, they gave them out to visitors for free.”

Song Hye Kyo also took part in the creation of the content of the guidebooks. She said, “Although there are major Korean historical sites in China, there are not very many Korean guidebooks. By doing this small thing, I would like to help visitors enjoy the site more.”

The professor added, “Korean historical sites outside of Korea are not very well-preserved. The best way to protect these sites is to incite greater interest in them domestically and visiting them often. We are planning to start a free app that provides the same service soon. We hope to include an audio service that will help the visually challenged as well.”

@sunflower91_, I'm also thinking of the upcoming awards ceremonies already, haha.  I would love to see Kyo get some major awards for her incredible acting in DotS   Since Baeksang is usually held in May and the nominations come out in late April, we should keep our eyes open for the nominations in the coming weeks.  I'm pretty sure KBS will give plenty of awards to DotS and its casts because of the drama's enormous popularity, but I'm looking forward to Baeksang more since it's more prestigious than the KBS award.

@utkim, haha, I feel the same way.  While I'm sad that DotS is over and we probably have to wait for a long time before Kyo's next drama, I'm kind of glad to have my life back on track again, lol.  I actually got some decent sleep after DotS ended

Hi all, just want to give a little update on what's happening on weibo regarding her rejecting Mitsubishi's car endorsement.  The hashtag "Song Hye Kyo rejecting Japanese car endorsement" was trending #1 on weibo's real-time hot list for a while.  Because of China's past history with Japan, Chinese netizens' comments were very positive towards Kyo regarding this news, but of course there are a bunch of ignorant haters who are saying that Kyo only cares about her Korean fans, that she doesn't give out signatures to her Chinese fans, only to her Korean fans   Kyo's official fan weibo account posted this to clarify that Kyo does love her Chinese fans.  Here is the translation for it:

"She would listen seriously to what her Chinese fans say even though she may not understand it.  She would smile while looking at the fan.  She would look seriously at the hand-written cards that her Chinese fans give her even when the host has begun to prepare for the next event.  She would still look seriously at every word with her eyes and ingrained it into her heart.  She would give every fan present her signature even if it's time for the interview to start.  Would persist on signing each and every one.

I finally found the article where PD Lee Eung Bok talked about SHK and SJK.  Here is the translation pertaining to that part only:

"Both Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are very serious when filming, their personalities are very kind-hearted, they become one (mix well) with the staff.  But once filming starts, their eyes will immediately exude charm.  Song Joong Ki's courage to challenge, as an actor, it's worth the wait to the road of stardom."

PD Lee also talked about Song Hye Kyo, saying it's the first time she plays a professional doctor.  So beforehand she received medical training which is rather hard, but Song Hye Kyo adapted rather quickly and to some extent became a doctor.  Also SHK's acting is very broad, from comedic to emotional scenes, can whole-heartedly interpreted it perfectly.

SHK baidu bar has the Chinese translations pertaining to Jasper Cho's thoughts on SHK.  This guy really sounds like he likes her a lot too   I love what all her co-stars have said about her.  You can tell they really like her a lot, not just for beauty, but also for her wonderful personality.  I remembered reading a translation of what the PD of DotS said about Kyo.  Will try to find it again to translate it.

"Song Hye Kyo is very wonderful, from her you can see that traits of foreigners and Koreans co-exist (I guess he's trying to say that SHK has both qualities of Koreans and foreigners)."  The translation also goes on to say that when he was talking about SHK, his eyes were luminous

Don't know if this has been posted or not, but I've translated the portion of Kim Min Suk's interview pertaining to Kyo.  Made me feel so warm just reading this.  Kyo is an absolutely beautiful person who possesses both outer and inner beauty.  Makes me proud to be a fan of hers
