People are also not talking enough about the tiny tennis match between Ha Ru and Kyung. Because I loved how at first Ha Ru basically couldn't serve properly and suddenly it was like the stage is over and he can totally serve. How his posture changed and then his smile to Dan Oh who was finally able to cheer him since she couldn't while the stage was still on.

I loved that scene too. How Dan Oh always has her eyes on Haru when the stage ends and how Haru is always looking for her. I also enjoyed how Baek Kyung wasn't a jerk after the match and actually seemed nice by wrapping Haru's tennis racket with tape and offering to play tennis with him. If Baek Kyung is ever able to move past his anger issues he could be a nice guy. After seeing his emotional breakdown in the last episode when Dan oh ended up in the hospital and how traumatic him mom's death was for him, I hope that in the end Baek Kyung will work together with our team to hep change Dan Oh's fate so that she doesn't die. No matter who she likes and how she behaves in from of Baek Kyung, I think he won't just sit and watch when Dan Oh's life is at stake for real this time.

I have the impression that Jinminchae is related to Haru’s scar. He and Haru come both from the manga Flower. I also think that DO comes from a different manga. She only started seeing the hole the moment she became self-aware. In my opinion, the hole at the library and outside shows that this manga world is connected to another manga world.

I also think that the black hole only appears before those who came from different manhwas, so Dan Oh, Jin and Haru. But if Dan Oh came from a different manga than the guys, why does it seem like Haru knew her from way before they ever met in this manhwa? I'm very intrigued by the fact that Haru and Dan Oh are so drawn to each other, almost subconsciously.

@Jillia Welp, Jin also said that Haru's only purpose for his existence is stopping Dan Oh from changing anything. That's super mean to say to anyone but I wonder if there's more to it than that. Still the dislike Jin has for Haru is strange. I want to know what happened between them.

I'm so scared that Haru might disappear in this episode. He's so cute and has eyes only for her. Our girl is also starting to fall for him. And what is Jinmichae's problem, the dude is becoming dislikable really fast. I really want to know his story and why he's so against any changes to the manhwa. He's being kinda selfish right now since he is not influenced by the writer and can do what he wants. By telling Dan Oh to not change anything he's basically telling her to die...

Btw... I was rewatching the earlier episodes. And I remember how Kyung was mean to Dan Oh again and then a guy was walking past him "accidently" pushing him. I think that was Ha Ru and Ha Ru was already changing the scenes actively.

Yes, that was him. I was so happy that he not so accidentally bumped into Kyung. :D I can't wait for new episodes, I want to know since when did HAru become self aware. In the preview Dan Oh asked him this question I I'm dying to know what he'll say.

  5. @Jillia I think he is on the path on becoming self-aware but who knows if he'll behave differently then. What if he becomes worse? Either way I don't want Dan Oh to end up with him simply because that would be very tropey  - a nice girl changes a scumbag for the better and through hurting her he somehow becomes a better person and starts treating her better. This is  sooo overused and presents a stupid misconception that men can behave like douchebags as long and there will come a woman who'll change them. Like that almost never happens in real life and the girls who believe in it end up in an unhealthy and abusive relationships.

I liked this shot... because it showed Kyung outside the story and I wonder... what keeps thinking about when he isn't acting like a douchebag.

Probably about why he's been such a douchebag to Dan Oh? :D He doesn't seem that bad when he's not on the Stage but... I'm kinda frustrated that I can't hate him in peace because of it. Still don't justify anything he's done to Dan Oh but I feel sorry for him. The writer is truly the villain in this story.

I loved this scene montage of her going through from hello , anyonghasseyo to hi!!!

I also love that wherever haru startles Dan Oh, she gets so shy and always touches her hair as if she has a crush on him. She too cute and Haru is such a puppy (even though I usually don't like to call people animal names but this time I just can't do anything with myself) So. Cute.

However, it seems so common in KDramas that I get the impression it is an accepted part of Korean culture.  Please enlighten me on this practice.  Thank you.

Indeed, you can find this kind of scene in almost every K-drama. At first I thought that it's just an over exaggeration but I went to South Korea this year and witnessed it first hand. Guys and girls drag each other by the arm all of the time (well mostly young adults, I'd say it's much less common for people 35+). :D

    I was thinking... what if:

Dan Oh ends up not having any heart problems at all. Because she only got them on stage. But off-stage the chest pain is gone and she is super healthy. So could it be that her destiny could turn out better than we expect it to be. Because the manhwa desperately tries to convince us she is going to die. So logic should tell us: she won't?

I really hope so. There's no way my heart is ready for so many sad ending this year.

Since Dan Oh is fine in the Shadow, what if she dies on Stage and then wakes up in the Shadow all fine and dandy +  free from the writer's clutches? :joy: that would be hilarious.

I just came home from work and was eating dinner when I stumbled upon an article about Sulli's death. Had to reread the title multiple times before it actually registered that she truly died... Poor girl, may she rest in peace. The most devastating thing is that she had noone by her side that could be there for her when she needed it the most...

But...but... I want them in sageuk attire. The struggle on my part is real. LMAO

    Spoiler

Maybe we'll see them in a sageuk attire in a flashback, for Jinmichae at the very least.

So true though. There is a lot to discuss on and only 2 (aka 4 episodes) each week. Can we not have like an episode everyday? :wub:B)

My only saving grace are all those wonderful fan vids floating around on YouTube.  and you guys, of course. Otherwise I'd go crazy.

Which is another thing I'm curious about. :D Because how did the manhwa get there if the writer doesn't want things to change? I'm kind of torn because:

I desperately want a sageuk part in this story. I LOVE sageuks and I would love the reincarnation story. At the same time... it would be so unfair if Dan Oh had to die and be reborn in another story to be with Ha Ru.

So I guess your theory could be valid. On the other hand, Kyung saying "it's not like you're going to die" almost sounds like he KNOWS she won't die or it's the typical we just say it so she will die.

About your spoiler part, I actually think that while in the original webtoon

    Spoiler

Dan Oh dies and then gets reincarnated 'backwards' (how does one reincarnate in from the future into the past, btw?) in a sageuk manhwa the drama directors changed it to be the opposite - Dan Oh and Haru already were characters in a sageuk manhwa that probably ended badly and Dan Oh got reincarnated into this modern world manhwa. But then there's the question about how Haru got here in the first place.

I'm regretting watching this drama live because it drives me crazy.  I guess you can recognise a good drama by how much it makes you obsess over it... I'm screwed till wednesday... :skull: And the amount of eye candy makes me want to become an extra in the manhwa just so I can stare at everyone without any time constraint. :joy:
