yes, kaori didn't die at the end of city hunter manga. But, she died in the "spin off", title "Angle Heart" first episode. She died from accident trying to save a boy on the way to her wedding to Ryo. Her heart then transplanted in a female assassin. So, kaori's presence continued 'existing' that way.
Haven't read the manga but I was a bit scared that Kaori died in the manga and that they would go in this direction for the drama too, but I became calm after reading wikipedia's article about "Angel Heart" :
The author mentioned in the first tankoubon volume that Angel Heart only shares the same characters of City Hunter but not it's continuation. The evens are all parallel universe, therefore it has nothing to do with City Hunter, do treat them as two different work.Now I'm all fine and hope that the ending will be satisfying and they won't rush it. Hope wednesday will come faster

I don't think there is anyone that can help YS save Nana without his being caught. They probably will actually allow her to fall with some kind of inflatable rescue apparatus on the main floor to save her. Will YS go over the edge or bannister with her refusing to let go of her hand?
Oh, that's right. I didn't think of YS escape. Guess my brain can handle only one problem at a time, haha~ ) Well maybe JP will help YS to escape, since he promised to help him (and that's why JP was there, if I understood it right from Viki subs).
If NN really falls, I hope she'll stay safe. But I kind of doubt that they had the time to set up something on the main floor, so that she can fall safely.

I finally understood why I freaked out so much at the end of the 8th episode. I don't know if I'm the only one who got this feeling, but it seemed to me that NN's grip on YS's hand has loosened and she was about to let go of him. That was super scary.

I doubt that in this situation YS will be able to save her all by himself because of his wound, so I'm hoping that our dear Prosecutor will return to help them. That's the only thing I can come up with to solve this situation, unless they'll just let NN fall down, but that's just totally impossible...right?

was reading the comments at SBS CH official thread. there were quite a few complaints about Nana's inconsistent character. One mentioned that it's hard to believe that NN who kept her distance from YS at her own house, would feel comfortable wearing only his shirt and not complain when not given pants at his house. A number of viewers also urge the scriptwriter to show the cool side of NN through her bodyguard role, instead of focusing too much on her various head ribbons and girly adornments. One remarked that it seems like one is watching City Hunter every wednesday and watching Personal Taste every Thursday, and would appreciate it if the scriptwriter not do it that way and bring more charisma to NN's character. that said, there were also viewers who thought epi 8 was the best. There are also viewers who praised Lee Jun Hyuk for his overflowing charisma. and of course there are a lot of praises concerning lee min ho's acting, that it is well beyond his young age.
No wonder so many people are disappointed. Although I enjoy YS-Nana moments, but I hope, that the director and scriptwriter will listen to the viewers and take into consideration complaints about Nana's character. I'm starting to get annoyed too, which is totally incredible. I mean come on, for a girl who has endured so many hardships, saw her parents' accident, dealt with her mother's death and father's vegetative state for 10 years, saw how her parents were blamed for the accident, had to work on various part time jobs etc. I totally can't see this character in the present Kim Nana that we see on screen. If a person really went through all of that, then she would be tougher and wouldn't be naive to this ridiculous extent.
Another thing that started bugging me - right now I don't understand why Nana is working as a bodyguard. At first her reasoning was perfectly fine, but now I'm at a loss. I can understand that she wanted to be like her father and work in the Blue House, but if it was me, I would be absolutely disappointed in officials and the Blue House as a whole after one of the officials blamed my innocent family for the accident, in which my mother died and father became a living vegetable. After something like that I would lose any will to protect these rotten people.
I'm not trying to blame Nana for anything nor am I against her high school girl character, but they definitely need to do something with this naive, clumsy, overly hot headed Nana, that always need someone saving her. With all the trouble she was in in the last episodes, a person starts to wonder how Nana could survive all these years all by herself if she always needs YS to save her from everything. Lol... )
I think it's about time the scriptwriter does something about the situation. YS can't always be the only one getting hurt. It was awfully painful to watch him in the 7th and 8th episode. Poor guy lived a hard life and had enough. Isn't it too much if the women he loves will cause his downfall? If I was totally in love with both Nana and YS in the first episodes, then after the latest two episodes I am slightly mad at Nana (although I don't want to be mad at her but still...). I couldn't stand watching YS painful facial expressions.
Please, dear scriptwriter and director, make Nana a bit smarter and thoughtful, because she has all the potential to be a sweetheart AND a strong woman. I strongly believe that Park Min Young can pull of any character, so director only needs to give her a chance. She's really a great actress and I like her very much.
It would be a blessing, if in the 9th episode Nana would finally understand, that City Hunter is YS and try to help him somehow or at least not to ruin his plans and get him in trouble.
Anyway, hope I didn't offend anyone with this comment ) 'cuz I really love City Hunter, YS and Nana and I'm just hoping that the scriptwriter will pay equal attention to every characters' development.
P.S. I was so disappointed that the kiss didn't happen т_т That must be the reason why I'm whining about Nana today haha~ ) If only there was a kiss, I would already be in my dreamland and could forgive any flaws of the drama, even LMH's pink pants (though they look quite good on him) XD
EDIT: Watched YS - Nana scenes again and now I'm feeling like an idiot for complaining... If it continues like that, then I'll go crazy waiting for the next episode.
SBS, please save me with a preview...hurry -

This episode was so great but I was shocked at the end of it. Nana shot YS.
That's just too much. No wonder they released spoilers about the sofa kiss to ease our mind. How can I wait a whole day for the next episode. The director really knows how to create cliffhangers. -

OMG! This episode was sooooo, so good. I can’t even describe it with words. I don’t know if it’s because of the anticipation but I think this was one of the best episodes so far. Love ES. I mean who doesn’t? She’s just so great and KHS is doing a great job. This is the first k-drama I’ve seen where the lead girl is so badass. I just love KC face when ES cursed him. That’s right, KC, you don’t just mess with a modern woman from Gangnam. (Somehow I was relieved that she “held back because the king was near” or else we could have witnessed an epic verbal fight between ES and KC. I bet you know who would win, lol )
I really enjoyed the flashback of CY’s past. It was so sad that the woman he loved committed suicide because she couldn’t bear, that their leader died protecting her and the others. I bet she felt guilty and thought that it was her fault…Poor girl and CY…т_т
Oh and we can finally see what power KC has - he can freeze people. Woohoo~~ They secured us with some epic fights in the future.
Last part of this episode was surely my favorite. CY and ES are so cute together. Love how he said that he came for her because he loves her. ES will definitely tease him later on, lol.
Today’s episode was so intense that wherever they would have ended it, we would still have a pretty good cliffhanger. Oh gosh, I still can’t calm down. I want to rewatch this episode right now but I also want to watch it with subs. Can’t decide if I should wait or not, lol %))
