It's probably just my impression (I wonder if because of NamJi I've started to seeing and hearing things... really!
) but it's not just the eyes... ever since the first time I saw that interview I've always felt a certain special "softness" in his voice in that part while talking about the kiss scene NJH. And at the same time he looks quite animated. I don't know if I can explain it well, but... a tiny bit excited to talk about that. Maybe with a hint of shyness, but still willing to reminisce it and volunteer information (instead of giving a more standard and impersonal answer).
Am I the only one? Anyone else got the same feeling?
And I have to say that to this day I am still trying to fully decode and interpret his answer. It still has me wondering...

From my pc I can only login with my soompi account (since the beginning I couldn't log in via fb, but I thought that was because both my soompi and facebook account are registered with the same email address). Today it's not letting me login via google. I've also tried delating navigation data, etc, and I've also tried with different browsers, but nothing.
And from my phone it only lets me login with the google account associated to the phone. I don't want to sign up for more soompi accounts because it does not seem fair, but ottokke?
For now, I just hope that login via google from pc will work!

This said, I guess that with our boy in the army and baby girl on hiatus to focus on her studies, we really need the DVD to provide us some new material. Even if we can watch over and over and over our favorite BTS and FMV, and never get tired of them, some new stuff would be nice. But we have to be patient for now. Even though the idea of 2 couple discs had me quite excited and I can't wait for those!!!
@daloula yes, yes, yes. Their smiles are gold. They say so much. Their happiness makes my heart happy.
I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it. Even more than their breathtaking kisses, etc, it's the happiness I've seen overflowing from them that makes me ship NamJi.

Well, I guess your description must be very close to the truth and that's more or less what happened. At least, about their funny faces, as they had probably just had a focused expression while intently listening to the instructions coming from the PD. As to Hyunie's arms/hands... that makes sense too
But this makes me wonder even more just how detailed were the instructions they got from PDnim and/or from the script for such scenes.
See, I watched a few BTS for Ruler - Muster of the Mask (I had started watching this drama too, along with SP, but then dropped it halfway) last summer, and in particular I remember the making of a kiss scene where the PD was there going over every tiny detail with the actors, including showing to the actress were exactly to put her hand on the guy's back, and how to move it, etc.

Now, I am not 100% sure whether this happens normally or it's just this PD's own style. I tend to believe the latter, though, since I don't recall seeing anything consistently that specific and thorough in my almost 10 years of kdrama + bts watching, and I know I had read a lot of comments at that time pointing out how specific and meticulous he was. Too much, if you ask me.
Anyway, we can safely say that we have never seen this kind of behavior from Park SunHo PDnim in the bts of SP. I have no idea if he did something like that when explaining for the first time the scenes to the actors, and it simply never appeared in the bts that were released, but if that's the case I am grateful we were never shown that, because it would have taken away a lot of my enjoyment and delight (not just about NamJi, but also about the drama itself). Still, based on everything we've seen and heard/read, I really believe he is not that kind of director and that is not how SP was filmed. We have seen him going over the scenes with Wookie and Hyunie and the 2 of them asking and looking at him for directions, of course, but we have also seen them giving their own input and suggestions for the couple scenes, and PDnim agreeing with them. We have seen Hyunie practicing how to put her hand on Wookie's head for the "love for humanity" sign, but it was just the two of them rehearsing, without intervention from PDnim; and again during the rehearsal for the second (1st day) kiss, she was practicing how to place her hands on his chest... PDnim was there and gave some input, but for the most part he was just watching (and laughing at JCW's antics, lips licking, etc.
). Also during the 3rd kiss + bed scene rehearsal, we got some pretty good idea of how he directed them: tell them how he planned to film the scene and what they had to do in rather general terms, such as "now turn and go into oppa's arms" or "BH should take off the jacket because this is an adult love", but that's it. Definitely present, but quite unobtrusive. I mean, just the fact that NJH felt the need to ask a general question such as "are we going to kiss all the way to the room?" while they were already practicing for the scene says a lot about unspecific the directions were! It's not that surprising if the PD realized early on that he had two actors who were not only serious and committed to do their best so that the drama could turn out well, but also had that sizzling chemistry to really make also the intimate scenes look real and convincing. So he only needed to give them just a few instructions for the couple scenes, and then let them work their magic.
So, back to our pictures, yes, it is definitely possible that PDnim was explaining to them how he planned to film (camera angles, etc.), and that it had to be a passionate kiss suggesting also that BH puts her arms around JW's neck, but I am quite satisfied knowing that most probably everything after that was Wookie & Hyunie's free interpretation / improvisation.
Tongue action, free roaming of hands, neck caressing, not a single cm between their bodies, etc... You know what I mean, don't you? But just in case anyone needs to refresh their memory (and because we all need motivation and NamJi vitamins to keep voting), let me serve you this dish:

I mean, it's too easy and tempting to joke and say that maybe PDnim was scolding them because they got too carried away, or told them to tone the kiss down, or simply that they were done because he had enough takes of the kiss
but I would love to know the real story behind this still picture. Is it really too much to hope for the d-cut to have additional bts of the laundry basket kiss scene including a clip of this part?
Anyway, I love how Hyunie's arms and hands are still wrapped around Wookie's neck/shoulders and NOT in a resting position. Those are not manner hands, baby girl!

Ditto. I personally don't even like the question "are they dating or not?" in the first place, because in the end it's only their business. And unless they come out and make some kind of statement confirming or denying, we have no way of knowing for sure. I find it a pointless question, and probably even burdensome. So I usually avoid to take a position in this regard, but if I really have to... my position and my take on their relationship status would be quite close to yours. I admit there are moments when I might be slightly more inclined to indulge in my own wish for a full blown relationship for them
, but then I usually backpedal quite quickly and 99% of the time my stance is basically the same one you have expressed.
But I am here because I know what I have witnessed, and I know that it's something special, something magical. Not something you can see everyday. Above all, I am here because I have seen and felt their happiness together. That is what convinced me that NamJi is real regardless of their actual relationship status. I am aware I might be wrong, of course, but my gut tells me that the feelings are definitely there. Then what they decide to do about those feelings it's only up to them. Anything can happen, 'cause that's life. But Fate seems to have been rooting for NamJi so far, so I am hopeful also for the future as well and wish that It will keep (or bring) them together.
And if that won't be the case and they will go separate ways, I will move on while wishing for them both to be happy with whoever they choose to date and marry. But even in this case I think deep down I will still believe that at least at some point NamJi was really real. I don't thing anything could take this conviction away from me, and I will always cherish this sweet memory in my heart.
Even if this is a totally stupid thing to say, considering that I am talking about 2 people I don't even know personally and I will never meet...
And the worst thing is that I almost feel tears welling up as I think about this
Blame NamJi, I swear I have never been this sentimental! Ok, now I think I should go back to my writing task and work on the continuation of my previous post, I guess.

ETA: LOL I had started writing this on Saturday, but as I was writing - sentence by sentence it became longer than I expected and could not finish it. Then Sunday was a busy day, and couldn't even properly come here to check out everyone's updates. Then of course I had to work on Monday, and when I finally managed to catch up with this thread in the evening I realized that this was the hot topic once again and more facts and points have been brought up! Oh, I should take a vacation to be able to keep up with you all!
Chincha, you are too fast for this ahjumma! Anyway, since I've already written most of this post, I am not going to go back and revise it to adjust to your latest comments otherwise this will never see the light. But of course I apologize in advance if I end up repeating what you have already said I know I am a bit late since this was the topic a few days ago, but I had no time to write a longish post till now. Mianhe.
First, I'd like to say that I am amazed by the dedication of NamJi shippers trying to find out the dates of possible meetings of our OTP at Aluu before SP, matching those with old interviews to connect dots, and get a better understanding of the NamJi timeline and history.
I am also aware that based on these elements some shippers (mostly on other SNS) suggest that maybe there was already something going on between them before they were partnered for Suspicious Partner, possibly since after the SMA or even earlier.
About this, however, let me voice a different opinion here. I, for one, don't think that was the case.
To begin with, let me recap here the facts of the Namji Timeline along with my take/interpretation of them:
- they were in the same drama, Warrior Baek Dong Soo in 2011, however they didn't really meet then aside from the presscon (and maybe wrap-up party?). At any rate, at the age they were back then, the 8 years gap was big enough to prevent any meaningful interaction. Or, as someone pointed out here in the past (and I fully agree) they would have started a purely oppa-dongseng relationship and it would have been more difficult for JCW to see and consider NJH as an woman/adult now, so, while it is lovely to have such an early coincidence for a "destined couple" , it's probably for the best that they did not really work together 7 years ago.
- both have been going to Aluu for a long time, over 5 years. That means plenty of opportunities for them to cross each other's path, especially if they had projects in the same period. According to Hyunie (SP presscon) they would basically just greet each other in passing. Still, since it is pretty obvious that fairy godmother loves both of them a lot, it is easy to assume that she also loves to talk about them and praise them in front of the other customers of the salon she is close to. It is a fact that was confirmed by Wookie, as we all know, when he said that he had heard a lot about her at the salon, to the point that she felt familiar already (Interview that took place at the time of the SP photoshoot, translated by Ji Chang Wook's Kitchen here:
- they were both at the KBS awards 2014, and shared the stage standing coincidentally next to each other when they received the Best Couple awards with the respective partners. [BTW, I've just realized that I've never shared here my 2 cents about this
... but that would require a separate post or I might get sidetracked I'll just keep it short and quick here! ] We've seen both official footage and fancams of that night. Played over and over. Many, many times. Slow motions, zoomed in versions, just name it: it's in the historical NamJi archives for sure. Trying to be as objective as possible, I think we can still say that they caught each other's attention there. Did anything concretely and palpably change between them after that? We have no idea of course. Personally (just my opinion, of course) I don't think so. Especially because they were both busy filming their respective dramas at the time (WHTMF and Healer ended in Feb 2015), so while probably they had more chances to bump into each other again at Aluu, on the other hand I guess they had no time then to dwell on and/or act upon whatever spark they might have felt that night. Sometimes the moment is just not right.... haven't we all experienced that in our own life?
(- Feb 2015: NJH's interview where she is asked about her ideal type between her two WHTMF co-stars PHS and SKJ and she says that she would like to mix qualities from both of them, i.e. manly, but cute and affectionate - the video can't be embedded, but the link is here if you need to check https://youtu.be/AVDD0_vKFzU?t=2m22s ) - just mentioning this for reference, but it's worth noting that she has been consistent as lately, post SP, she mentioned that her type is mature but playful.
(- Sep 2016 - JCW's Harper’s Bazaar interview, when he states "I seem to live while holding on to the dream that I will meet a destined person someday. We will either keep running into each other coincidentally, or taking a slight glance while walking past but not being able to forget [the person]" - translated by Ji Chang Wook's Kitchen here: https://jichangwookkitchen.com/2016/10/30/magazine-harpers-bazaar-september-2016-issue-ji-chang-wooks-earnest-jokes/). I just love this. Even though I think at that point it was still really a dream for him, an hypothetical talk, in retrospect it has me really excited thinking about NamJi.
(- Nov/Dec 2016? - post K2 - JCW's interview when he mentions that dating is not his priority because he is always too busy and because he has to enlist soon) you have all already commented about this, so I don't need to add anything.
- Jan 19th, 2017 : SMA. NamJi's first cooperation as they presented an award together. Again, we have seen and replayed countless times both official and fantaken videos and pictures of this, and analysed the tiniest details. More sparks. Smiles everywhere. They were definitely aware of each other. But again, it was a busy time, at least for Wookie who was doing the promotion for his movie.
(- Feb 4th 2017: JCW's radio interview to promote Fabricated City. Asked about his ideal type he says “I like someone whom I can relate to emotionally and is able to communicate well with me without feeling uncomfortable when we meet up. But that is actually harder than I thought" - translation credit Ji Chang Wook's Kitchen: https://jichangwookkitchen.com/2017/02/04/movie-ji-chang-wook-guests-on-kbs-radio-for-fabricated-city/#more-22028 ) I am sure I've seen subbed clips of this interview on IG, but I did not save that and so I wasn't able to find any when I looked earlier. At any rate, I remember old comments in this thread pointing out how he seemed to ponder the question well and answer truthfully so one could assume that, as of February he had not found that girl would click with him yet.
(- March 2017: on the occasion of his Taiwan fan meeting if I remember correctly? JCW was asked to draw his ideal girl and the girl in the drawing has a striking resemblance to NJH at the Seoul Music Awards. Furthermore he explained that her heart is more important and the girl has a beautiful smile *(1), and we know that Hyunie's smile is indeed beautiful and lights up a room). Still, even if we are all certain in our hearts that the girl in the drawing is indeed NJH, who must have left quite an impression during the SMA, because the drawing is too similar to be a coincidence, rationally speaking we do not know for sure and this is again our assumption.
But it is a fact that Hyunie fits the description to a T: she has a beautiful and kind heart and a beautiful smile too.
The pieces of the puzzle are now starting to come together, but...
- March 16th 2017: More work coming up for JCW. His enlistment is impending and he knows no rest. While his promotional activities for the movie and Asian fan meetings are still ongoing, he confirms starring in a new drama. On the same day, the actress (LSK) who had been offered the role as his partner declines, and another one (Han JiMin) is in talk to join.- Fate is doing his job, and at this point it's almost ready to work its magic... -
- March 23rd HJM declines and March 29th 2017 Nam JiHyun is reported to be in the final stage of negotiations and then confirmed to be JCW's leading lady in the the romantic comedy now titled Suspicious Partner.
Script reading on April 4th,
- April 11th : SP photoshoot and JCW interview, where he shares his excitement about the drama, and when asked about NJH he mentions not having really met her at the time of WBSD, having heard about her by their hairstylist, the fun he had meeting her that day, knetz' comments that thy have similar vibes, and his conviction they will have a lovable and interesting chemistry (see above for reference)
- May 10th: Presscon and first 2 episodes of SP airing.
And the rest is history (and the reason why we are all still here
)
So, why do I think that despite their previous encounters, NamJi really begins with SP and they were not close before that (despite the awesome display of sizzling chemistry and comfort with each other as early as the photoshoot?

BTW, one of the reason why this is taking me long, is that I went back to the early pages of the main drama thread to check a couple of dates and got distracted reading the posts.It was quite nice to see the early pics and clips , trying to watch them with the eyes of someone who is seeing them for the first time, reading people's comments as they were discovering this OTP's chemistry... If you have some spare time, seriously consider doing it. A lovely and nostalgic feeling...
*(1) was he thinking specifically of Hyunie's smile? My shipper heart says yes, but my rational mind remember that in the Harper's Bazaar interview Wookie, talking about jealousy etc. also said "For example, one may fall in love because the girl’s smile is very pretty. But after dating for some time, there will be a time where I’ll come to dislike that girl’s smile. I’ll get jealous when I see her smiling at other people but I do not know what to do about it [...]. That seems to indicate that a beautiful smile is something he has always looked for in a girl, and one of the features that definitely attracts him. So of course he would mention it when talking about his ideal type. Apparently, it's something he has always paid attention to, but then it's no wonder that Hyunie and her gorgeous smile caught his attention from the very start.

In the reel version, BH and JW stand quite apart from each other while BH is explaining what she found, until JW tells her "come here" and hugs her.
For reference:
Even if in some parts we can see only their upper torso it is quite clear that at the beginning, when JW is asking BH if she really went out to investigate with that face and messy hair, etc. they are standing about 1 meter apart. And there is no reason for JW to reach out and touch/hold BH at this point.
But during the rehearsal for this part NJW/JCW wouldn't let go (again!) of EBH/NJH's wrist.

Of course it is possible that PD wanted to shoot the scene that way at first and then they decided differently, but I really don't see why Lawyer No should have hold BongHee's arm/wrist then. What do you think? Would it have made sense in the contest of that scene?
On the other hand, it's a gesture we've seen Wookie doing so many times in the BTS, since the very beginning when it was obvious that he was trying to establish a connection, in every possible sense, with Hyunie. At times, to me it looks like he really needs this kind of physical contact with her (meant in a gentlemanly and non creepy way, of course
also because it's clear that Hyunie is not bothered by this ) and I find this quite endearing Anyway, even if I have to admit that I don't bother to check out the BTS of every single drama I watch (as I do it only if I am a fan of the actors, or if I get really invested in the drama) let me say that based on my experience SP is the only one drama/RomCom I've watched where there is consistently more skinship in the BTS than in the drama itself

I'm missing our couple so I've been watching MV's. Dear bpwinces and others, thank you for the dedication and time creating such amazing FMVs of our NamJi couple. Whenever I'm missing them I always go back to their BTS and FMVs. Looking forward for more once the DVD is out.
I also often go and re-watch some of the beautiful JiBong and/or NamJi FMVs created by these super talented fellow shippers, and if some of them are lurking here (as I think) I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thank you for sharing your work talent, and passion and helping us survive during these long months.
And I will admit that every single time a clip or video is (re)posted in this thread, be it a BTS or a fanvid (or just a kissing gif
), no matter how short or long, no matter how many times I've already watched it and if I know it by heart already... I have to pause reading and re-watch it. Really, I have to. I can't help it. And it gets worse if you chingus are sharing YT videos and for some reason instead of watching them embedded I click to watch them in Youtube. Because then I also have to replay at least a couple of the similar videos kindly suggested by YT (obviously all NamJi related ) that tempt me from the right panel, and get sidetracked. During the past weekend I had a few pages to backread, and it took me way longer than I expected because there were quite a number of videos reposted and I could not help stopping and rewatching each of them.
Seriously. I was convinced that this NamJi addiction would subside over time but it's not happening. And with the DVD release date approaching I doubt it will happen anytime soon. At least, I know I am not alone in this.
If you are reading this, it means that we are probably in the same boat. Stuck in this thread till May 2019 and beyond! So, to make the wait sweeter...

The first+second and the third picture grouped in that post were obviously not taken on the same occasion and in IG there are vids of Biker!Wookie wearing that same jacket apparently dating back to August 2016.
This is not to say that the pics recently posted by his friends are that old, but I agree that they are still throwback. If that is a jacket he could wear in August, I doubt it would be suitable for the cold Korean Winter. Not to mention that he is not even wearing socks in Mr. K's pic. I'm shivering just thinking about it.

Seeing this, and every time I reply the vids showing Hyunie's reactions during the SBS awards, I regret that we have no footage, either official or from fancams, etc of the other members of the SP squad. Of course I am grateful that we have the videos of Hyunie's expressions as the couple scenes were shown, because that's what matters most to me and I don't want to sound greedy but... I would have loved to see also the other actors' reactions. In particular I would have been curious to know if they watched the scenes on the big screen and what were their expressions, or maybe they were also checking out Hyunie's reaction. We'll never know, I guess, but the shipper in me can't help but keep wondering.
On a different note, let me mention this here... I know we have seen many, many videos of the SP presscon, and commented several times on every possible aspect including Nara & CTJ's expressions while witnessing some "NamJi moments", and especially in reaction to the famous handshake initiated by Wookie after a comment by the PDnim. Now, about that moment, I must say that I had mostly seen edited vids focuing either on Wookie and Hyunie or Nara and CTJ, or even watching non cropped / zoomed in version, I guess I tended to focus on only one of the couples myself. So, for the longest time I had believed that Nara's "funny" expression was caused by the handshake itself. Only recently, just a few weeks ago, as I was watching a non cropped video that showed all the 5 people on stage I realized that I was wrong.
Since I can't find the original presscon video used here (the only video with the complete presscon that I know of zooms in on our PDnim alone here so it's of no help), I'll use Ploy Jularat's awesome fanvid instead:
As you can see (play it in very slow-mo, or pause and proceed frame by frame if necessary), Wookie starts to turn towards Hyunie at 2:40 (and looks at her hands, in fact). At 2:41 Hyunie's notices something, turns to look at him and their eyes meet. At 2:42 they are looking into each other's eyes, and Nara is watching them. Wookie's hands are still in front of him and not moving at this point. But this is exactly when Nara, who is not even looking at their hands yet, starts to crack. Probably by the sheer intensity of Wookie's gaze towards Hyunie as the two do some eye-talking and Hyunie telepathically understands what Wookie's going to do and smiles and nods in agreement (but she is turned away, so Nara can't see her - unless there was some screen showing the scene somewhere, but I doubt this was the case).
It's only at 2:43 that Wookie extends his hand for Hyunie to shake, but by then Nara is already turning away and towards CTJ, unable to hide her widening smile. And as we know she then exchanges a knowing look with TJ who was still watching the two (and probably mentally facepalming for his hyung's behaviour in front of the media).
Now, my point (aside for the 1-2 seconds of NamJi's eye-talk that is to die for
) is... I could have understood if Nara had reacted like that because of the handshake, since it was a funny thing to do in that situation (even if prompted by something the Director was saying talking about NJW and EBH, if I remember correctly). Yes, it would have been meaningful for us because the fact that Nara and TJ are not openly laughing, but trying to suppress it and disguise their smiles is a dead give away. But the fact that she started to react just because of Wookie's piercing gaze directed at Hyunie is not just telling, it's literally screaming. I mean, how many times must these people have witnessed this kind of behavior between the two on the set in about one month of filming, to do that?

I think i understand where u are coming from too. Hahah. For myself, if hyunni did visit, i would prefer if she did it herself. ) but it's not just the eyes... ever since the first time I saw that interview I've always felt a certain special "softness" in his voice in that part while talking about the kiss scene NJH. And at the same time he looks quite animated. I don't know if I can explain it well, but... a tiny bit excited to talk about that. Maybe with a hint of shyness, but still willing to reminisce it and volunteer information (instead of giving a more standard and impersonal answer).

Just a quick post, 'cause these days this soompi voting thing is really using up my spare time.
And lately also my mobile phone data traffic 
, since for a couple of days my internet connection at home was not working but the idea of not voting as much as possible for SP and our OTP made me feel bad
, so I ended up doing all the daily voting from my mobile phones even if I much prefer voting from my pc since I find it more convenient and quicker. Anyway, for NamJi I did it gladly, but now I don't have any data traffic left to check to read here while commuting to and from the office as I would normally do. At least, the connection at home is now more or less fixed, so I can keep voting 
and I can also read everyone's posts 
In regard to the news about Hyunie, like many of you I was a bit surprised at first, because I thought she had decided to even take a break from her monthly Vlives to focus on her studies, but maybe I had misunderstood, or this offer came up later. Anyway, our baby girl is smart enough to make the best decision for herself. And if she considers this drama a good opportunity not to be missed, I am all for it.
Not to mention that this means we'll be able to see her again soon (great!
), and - selfishly speaking - this might help me move on a little bit from SP which is a good thing 
Furthermore, I have never seen DO act in anything, but I've heard good things about his acting even if he is an idol-turned-actor, so I guess I don't have to worry and can look forward to this pairing if both accepts. And I am happy to see positive comments from knetz and also from EXO's fans who seem to be quite supportive... that's really great. Even if there might be some antis, as usual, if most of his fandom is open-minded I can't ask for more. I trust that Hyunie's qualities - her talent and her personality - will be recognized and appreciated.
Finally, as a NamJi shipper, I am completely ok. Knowing very well that it's very rare to get the same otp to work together more than once in Kdramas, I've always accepted that they will have to work with other people, and do whatever the scripts require including kiss scenes, skinship, etc. And maybe I am the weird one, but since we have been lucky enough to have half a year already to enjoy NamJi's scenes and behind-the-scenes alone, undisturbed, with no new possible ships looming and threatening to take over.... well, at this point, for me, I guess it's time to face "reality". The reality of their job and what it entails. The reality of life, that goes on no matter what. The reality of time that does not stand still and wait for people to be ready. Due to the particular situation, with Wookie doing his MS and Hyunie studying, we have been blessed. We've been cocooned in our happy NamJi world. It's sweet, comfortable and warm. I love it. I would happily stay here forever without trying to see what lies outside, but it's not possible because these two people are not ours, and they are actors who have to do their job and people who have to live their lives. So, as I was reflecting about the latest news and my reaction to it, I've really realized that for me, the sooner they take up another project the better. Because the longer we delay, for whatever reason, this moment, the more difficult it will be for me to watch them with someone else.
Not because I might tend to get "jealous" on Hyunie's or Wookie's behalf (that's not it, really, I am not even jealous in my own private life
), and not because I don't have enough faith in NamJi (as I've said many times before, it's their life and their decision, but I trust that what I've seen happening during SP is special and magical, so I am hopeful and confident) but... well, sorry, I don't know how to properly explain it, but I hope it makes sense to you and you can understand what I mean 
So, since of course it's impossible for Wookie right now, if at least Hyunie can have a new drama soon it will be good enough for me.
