    wanted to clarify this - I think the Koreans jumped ship not so much because of the head patting, but because of the back patting we saw twice in the last bts. The perception is that it’s a sign of two close colleagues.
     

    if you watch LMH heirs wrap up party he gives the same hug to PSH.

    I think many of us here, especially the veteran Royal Court Ladies know WHO and WHICH POST I am referring to, even without my naming specific names.

    Once again, PLEASE LEAVE and NEVER RETURN. 

     

     

    I understand your frustration with me, in that I'm not whole heartedly agreeing with your perspective. I do think the way Knetz interpret things is very relevant though, because at the end of the day we international fans do not share the same culture as them and therefore there are things that are lost in translation in terms of how we perceive things. My personal opinion.

    Based on the video, it doesn't actually show LMH taking a photo. So I wonder if the editing caught him after he snapped a photo OR if he really was just trying to see how the scene looked through a screen. I think it's the former - he already snapped a photo and the editing just shows him after it happens, because 1) his finger is hovering over the button, 2) I tried looking at the bottom left square (where it shows you your last most recent photo and it looks mostly white to me --> the car). Anyone care to confirm what I'm seeing?

    Hi ladies!!! I was trying to really detach and stay away but I just COULD NOT before providing my perspective. Brace yourself for a long

     

    I've been meaning to find a good time to extract myself from this thread, it is literally interfering with my life (not sleeping, etc.). But I won't lie and tell you that today's BTS wasn't what pushed me to finally do it. It totally was. I am one of the people who immediately came to the conclusion that they are NOT dating and they do NOT have romantic feelings toward each other (especially of LMH who I felt was treating her more like a close younger colleague this time around in the BTS). I share the same sentiment as the Naver shippers, who have fully sunk the ship at this point.

     

    However, the reason why I'm back to explain my perspective, is because: 1) for those who have expressed that they felt flat/really sad about this ship after BTS 16, I don't think anyone explained WHY. So I want to share with you the points that stuck out. 2) However there are THINGS that are still keeping me feel a little hopeful for the two. I would not have come back if all I had were points to bring the mood of this thread down. That's why I tried leaving without telling you why in the first place. So let me explain. 

     

    REASON WHY THEY AREN'T 

    • The head pats / back pats - you'll see throughout ep. 16 BTS at certain moments (i.e. - 3:50 / 7:49) that LMH pats her back twice on separate occasions and pats her head on two separate occasions at the end. In Korea, this is a sign of just friendly close colleague relationship. This is probably the PRIMARY reason why the Knetz on Naver have sunk the ship completely. In fact, the back pats instantly reminded me of GYxKGE. I can't find those clips now, they're floating somewhere on IG, but that is EXACTLY how GY treated KGE at the end of emotional scenes (to try and help her through the crying/emotional scenes/comfort her). I think we can all agree that GY and KGE are not an item and they never were. Like literally, I cannot emphasize how much the actions were EXACTLY the same. 
    • No laughing - I totally expected, based on previous interactions between the two, especially LMH would laugh more throughout the ep. 16 scenes. I mean, Jeong Tae Ra was hilarious, he barely laughed. We did not see the same laughter/giddiness/trying to touch her in the many scenes throughout ep. 16 (except for maybe at the beach when they were bouncing around). 
    • Overall vibe - I can't explain it, ep. 16 just felt SO FLAT. It felt like LMH was trying to rush through filming and was SO happy at the end when he was done. I know you're saying that he was sad too but couldn't show it, but I personally felt that he wanted to get out of there ASAP. 

    Now here comes the part that I've been tossing over my head as unexplainable / can maybe explain some of the above.

    • KGE was really TIRED. She was NOT herself. There are moments when she would laugh like her usual self, but most of the time, especially when they were filming that reunion hug scene, she looked REALLY tired. In fact, you can actually tell LMH was trying to make her laugh/cheer her up but was unsuccessful at 3:31. He actually uses the same line in ep. 15 (you said something that deserves scolding / ruffles hair) but you see KGE does not react to this AT ALL and he looks maybe a little disappointed? Knetz on Naver also pointed this out, saying they were heartbroken to see KGE look so tired, apparently they heard that the filming at the end went non-stop throughout the day and night.
    • What LMH said after the backpat - so I mention the backpat at 3:50 as one of the reasons why this ship may have sunk. On second look and after looking at some analysis Knetz did, perhaps not. I'm really confused. At 3:50, the director calls "cut, OK!" and LMH celebrates a little as I assume this marks the end of filming for that day. If you watch KGE, she actually lifts her hand and waves tiredly at LMH (I think she's saying bye to him). While patting her back, LMH, based on some lip reading from Knetz goes "I'll see you at the filming location tomorrow." I really don't know how to take this point. One of the Knetz said this is unusual for colleagues. For me, it seems normal, like "good job, see you tomorrow" but I'm confused at this point now. 
    • LMH taking a photo - at first, when I saw this, I was like "maybe KGE or the staff members asked LMH to take candid photos to commemorate this since it's special for their team." But I'm not so sure of that anymore. Some of you pointed out, but the angle at which he is taking the photo is a little weird. It's very low and he doesn't extend his arms out, which if someone asked me to take photos, I'd be clicking away at different angles. So I don't think this is the case. Someone also mentioned possibility of taking a video for them to monitor. I am 90% sure that is not the case. If you look at the screen, the button is WHITE which indicates photo. Red button on iPhones indicates video mode. And plus, it's not his job to monitor them. I do think he gave out advice not because he felt out of the loop, but the staff members were being shy & awkward and so he told them to be greedy for screen time. An interesting point here, the one who actually responded right back to LMH and was not that shy towards him, was the one who has uploaded that riverside photo of the two / commented on KGE's photo recently. 
    • No official goodbye seen - someone mentioned here earlier, that KGE followed LMH's staff to their car area before they left. I thought this was an interesting point, especially given that fan's account on a Korean thread about the last filming location. If I recall correctly, she seemed to have been RIGHT THERE at the two cars from the moment LMH/KGE arrive until they left in their respective cars. She even mentioned getting a signature from KGE. What I find interesting is, if this was indeed the last time they were seeing each other, I feel like LMH and KGE would have hugged or said some sort of official goodbye before each of them left in their cars. I mean, I think we can all agree that they don't hate each other (lol). Wouldn't ANY two co-stars have had an official goodbye before leaving if that was the last time they were seeing each other? Based on her account, it seemed like both of them probably took photos with staff at the central filming location, made their way one after another to their respective cars, took more photos with their respective staff members, and then LEFT the location. If it were indeed the very last time, they would have said bye. 
    • Weird editing in BTS - some Knetz mentioned this but they found the editing weird. I think people here in this thread think the same. They specifically mentioned the footage of them taking photos holding hands on the beach + more official footage of them bouncing around on the beach (the one that was released via fancam). Some are questioning why those two specific scenes were included in the BTS. Taking photos, especially by staff members, wasn't even part of the "making" of the film. There are questions as to whether or not this was a way to tone down speculation since the beach photos + beach fancam got pretty popular. Same exact thinking as those before me who have expressed the same question in this thread. 
    • KGE's makeup artist comment on her IG - I really think this could either mean EVERYTHING or NOTHING. First off, the comment was not deleted. It's still there, you may have to scroll to find it. It sometimes shows up on top and sometimes on the bottom of her comments. I have noticed that that makeup artist is very close with KGE. She consistently comments on KGE's posts and is VERY cute with her (they are unni dongseng relationship). Her comment around "I wonder what made this woman so happy ;heart emoticon with arrow;" could be completely innocent and meaningless since she frequently comments on her IG. But I just find it a little weird given that she was also the one who has posted the riverside photo + video of KGE playing a game on the same bench as LMH. But I have looked at her other stylist's IG and the makeup artist did leave a comment "unni are you happy??" under one of her photos too, so now I'm not sure what to think of this comment. Super crazy coincidence that doesn't mean ANYTHING but just a reflection of the way she likes to leave comments?

     

    Things I personally believe to small / not critical details - giving her red roses (let's be real LMH doesn't have the time to buy or think about what color flowers to give to his partner at the end of filming. They were filming day and night, his staff got the flowers, he passed them out. End of story). The control room kiss scene (moments of shyness, but I really can't tell the difference between how LMH acted with other co-stars when kissing. It's just hard to tell what's acting vs. not when it comes to kissing scenes).

     

    Ok I already wrote so much. I would love to hear your thoughts. And yes I am still working on extracting myself from the thread, but please forgive me as I slowly transition (I guess I can't cold turkey like I tried to this morning hehe).

    It might seem innocent to some but the RCLs feel it is an inside joke. :w00t:

     

    I've never heard of mukbang being used in that way....I really don't think it's an inside joke

    I think he's just being a dork and saying "mukbang" because it sounds similar to what WDH said. 

     

    The Korean IG is also confused "why is he mentioning the word mukbang"? I wouldn't read too much into it :).

    Ladies - we are at a point in the Naver comments where all of KGE's past ships have come out of the wood works. I am laughing so much. 

     

    "She looks better with GY, he was very good to her, he specifically said he wanted to work with her the most before Goblin happened, etc. etc."

     

    "You know Hae-In is the only person KGE will call "oppa" in public." 

     

    "I hope she does a rom com with Seo Kang Joon" 

     

    "NO LMHxKGE is the best pairing, they have the best chemistry!!!!"

    Great points. I see where you are coming from. I just felt like if there is something going on between them, that he would use the excuse of the drama ending to post one last photo with her on his IG to round out the others he's posted. My personal opinion. But I also see where you are coming from, and I do know in some interviews in the past LMH has stated that in his past relationships it was important for him to protect them etc.

    I just found the funniest comments on Naver. 

     

    So a group of people are now discussing whether or not the wheel chair kiss was ad libbed. Some say yes, some say no. I am pretty sure it was ad libbed. 

     

    But the funny part is one person was like "I don't think KGE is the type to easily just adlib something like a forehead kiss. I have heard from ardent Arjenias that although she is extremely bright, easy going and cheerful, she's actually known to have a lot of shyness and is known to be a "철벽녀". 

     

    I was like, wtf is that? So literal translation is "IRON WALL GIRL" :joy:

    Basically, iron wall girls in Korean society are known to be those who have good looks, good education, and comes from a good family but won't easily date around / you can't easily woo her. Someone who loves romance, but has a defensive wall and prevents men from getting to her, and she also has high standards for men with high self-esteem. 

     

    THAT IS BASICALLY WHAT WE'VE BEEN SAYING ABOUT KGE ALL ALONG - she friendzones. But the person brought this up because she said an iron wall girl wouldn't have adlibbed something like that to just anyone. Therefore, there is something suspicious going on if it was an ad lib.

     

    I mean honestly you can argue and say that KGE is a wonderful actor and capable of adlibbing something like that, but that laugh and shyness afterwards was totally her, so I think it was KGE not KGE acting like JTE. 

     

    Anyways wanted to share this cause I thought it was hilarious.

    I personally don't think KGE whispered or said anything. If you look closely, I think she was either surprised or on the verge of laughing. After the first kiss, her eyes get bigger and she smiles (as if she's about to laugh or surprised). But LMH goes full steam ahead while she's still smiling and doesn't kiss back. Honestly this should have been a throwaway cut. Not sure why the Director decided to keep it.... :).
