LMH was actually my mother’s favorite Hallyu Star for YEARS and I was super confused because he didn’t debut until BOF and she doesn’t like anything after 2006. I have to add. I know that LMH is the captain of our ship and clearly it started out as one-sided, but I think we sometimes underestimate just how strong KGE's feelings are for him NOW. Based on everything she has been through with crazy fans, we are underestimating how much courage it takes for KGE to be involved with someone like LMH. This is also in the context of her still being "young" in her career. Yes, she's been around for 8 years, but that is very little compared to most other "serious" actresses. Everyone has pegged her as someone with potential to be the next Jeon Do Yeon / legendary Chungmuro star. I can only imagine the pressure that comes with that. This is also in the context that she already has had some "scandals" in the past - with BYH releasing their text conversation, her dating SHK who was 17 years older and then rumors between her and GY that got so big that her agency had to actually respond. Can you imagine the risk to her career to be yet again involved with someone, and this time, someone like LMH? I would be RickRoll'D my pants about my career if I were her.
And yet here we are. I HAVE to believe that both are madly in love with each other. I don't think we would have received the bread we received on her birthday if that was NOT the case.

That's an interesting perspective!
I've watched almost all of their interviews, appearances on variety shows, etc. and I never got the vibe. I think the two are just friends and both never had romantic feelings toward one another. They seem rather comfortable with each other, particularly on KGE's side. There are some appearances where the two have been quite awkward on screen, but I chalk that up to JHI's quietness relative to KGE's outgoing personality.
Edit: I forgot to mention. KGE is literally shippable with everyone. I'm not even joking. I think it's her personality.

I am not one to buy in easily to matching clothes or matching poses and such and such but the white border is a dead giveaway to me when you connect the dots. Hello friends!!
KGE fan here. It seems this thread has been active last few weeks, and I'm so happy about that!
I agree with what most everyone has said here - I definitely think her next body of work will be a movie. I also think it's not going to be romantic in nature, as she's been kind of on a romantic/melo streak (Goblin, Sunset in my Hometown, Tune in for Love, The King) with Hero being the exception.
I would love to see her in some sort of a comedy. A rom-com would be my vote, but I don't think that's going to happen :(. Can't wait to hear about her next project!!!

I actually find it really pointless to be comparing KGE to LMH's ex. They are completely different people. You can just tell by looking at something superficial like their IGs. If we only look at both their previous relationships, we shouldn't expect the two to end up together / it would be a surprise if they end up together (not only is KGE completely different from LMH's exes, but LMH is also very different from KGE's exes).
But I think we're all here because we think they make each other incredibly happy, and we can also agree that it is a rare thing to find that especially as you grow older. So let's just focus on our two lovebirds vs. comparing and worrying about previous relationships.

Hi Friends!! So happy to be posting here again. I've definitely been lurking and loving stuff here and there since my short hiatus.
@Lisa_BB agree with you - I was taken aback by both pats (reunion hug scene and in the end when she was crying). I was honestly one of the supporters who felt like the world ended when I watched the last BTS, but realized it was because expectations were very high. I do think there were some things in the BTS that legitimately created doubt, but on the advice of the ladies here, I did watch it scene by scene and there are some things to be happy about in ep 16 too.
I think at the end of the day - I do believe that they had romantic feelings towards each other. There is just no way based on what we've seen that THAT isn't true. It's just a matter of whether or not they've acted on it or they're currently acting on it. We, as fans, won't know the truth unless they tell us later. I hope both are happy!!!
