Sorry to cut your post. I actually agree with the above part. But this writer and director pair has some certain way they execute their scripts. Their regular audience are used to it and expecting it.They use acting talent as well as various props ,colors ,music and what not. As viewers it is upto us if we want to obsess over it or not. I generally do not pay attention to these sort of details because I find it distracting while watching.But there are viewers who love to find the clues and speculate. I think they are providing for both audiences. Even if we ignore all these props and just follow the story I do not think we are missing anything. Winter garden couple is my bias so may be I notice more things when it comes to them

@nrllee I do not know about the crocks. But in the latest episode when Jeong Won was trying to act busy instead of congratulating Gyeo Ul his desk did have snow globe on it. Though it is a common GS room they do seem to have individual workstations given to them. Their post its are on the workstations and another personal items too.

@sakura22 There is a shot of Gyeo Ul’s glasses, phone and id card neatly arranged in the basket when she was sick. Looking at Jeong Won’s habit of cleaning and arranging things may be it was to indicate he was there while they were asleep. This is just a speculation.

Every time I read the possibility of Ik Joon and Gyeo Ul being set up as romantic pair I wonder has not production team themselves killed that possibility for any season by calling their chemistry as father daughter one in the bts footage.
I thought they specifically did that for viewers to focus mainly on their friendship part and not take every gesture as a romantic one. For production team to do that just to mess with viewers for the twist sake does not make sense.I would want to give them more credit than that at least for now.

The above even I agree that the show is not about just one person’s choice or journey. It is about all five of them. The theme song show has selected is “start again” . That makes me think even though they are giving us flash backs about their past it probably has not much to do with whatever is happening or going to happen in the future.
In Jeong Won’s case the moment they showed him returning back to the hospital instead of marathon I had feeling that it was writer’s way to tell she is going to make him reverse all his current choices. The part I am sort of conflicted is Gyeo Ul. Is she the one taking the journey with him or she is a catalyst. But what you said about Ever After perfectly makes sense in their case. Thank you for the response. I hope in this episode they will show us at least little bit about what exactly is going on in his head.

Do you think their arcs are going to get intertwined at some point? I am not very good at analyzing but I can not shake off the feeling that at some point they are going to intersect. As you mentioned the one who came up with idea of “Affair” of IJ and GW was Jun Wan. I don’t remember the episode number but for one of the lunch with GW and the twins IJ brought in Jun Wan specifically mentioning him as “Rain check” for Jeong Won. Are they setting up something here for Jeong Won which might serve as plot twist too?
Since you mentioned first episode for clue I tried checking but I could not get what exactly you are hinting at

Lately I've been thinking that these two guys are living contrasting parallel lives.
@40somethingahjumma This was something going through my head from almost 4 th episode. Thank you for putting it so eloquently. Almost each episode has some event paralleling their lives. I think in 6 episode when Jun Wan was waiting for Ik Sun’s call regarding his confession Jeong Won was waiting for Gyeo Ul’s regarding liver donation. In seventh Jun Wan went for a date and Gyeo Ul asked for one.
The latest episode was interesting. Both of them are not just secretive they are very good at hiding their feelings. Dr Do keeps on calling Jun Wan names because usually he is very stoic.
In the episode When Jun Wan went to the the parents to ask for heart donation dr Do called him heartless .But at the end of the episode what we saw was Jun Wan actually shading tears with baby’s mother.
This is true for Jeong Won too. We never get to see any reaction from him as per as Gyeo Ul is concerned.For the first time after she left we saw Jeong Won with almost pensive face and he was almost spaced out.
I think both of them have finally started to show their true feelings.

@Ameera Ali He uses two different phones one black and one white. White one is for personal use and black one is for Daddy Long Leg thing.
But I have read winter garden theory regarding this ringtone too
. The places generally these two meet apart from hospital scenes are near staircases and elevators. Even in the in the scene where Dr Jang asked him out camera first focused on staircase and man and woman picture on a board first. The connection is his personal white phone has ringtone staircase.
When I read all these theories on the net I think while I am watching this drama as slice of life kind drama people are watching it like a mystery drama.

@standingtallyy @Ameera Ali @kokodus I am trying to pay more attention to the narrative but it is such a fun to discuss theories. Even I have observed there is something going on with specific food and the characters.
GW offered yukjeon to Ik Jun and Jeong Won also ate it. I think that is the only time I have seen him eating any offered food. In their dinners most of the time he is the one serving food to others.In the last episode both SH and JW refused to give him bread. I might be wrong on this because I dont remember their each meal.
Seok Hyun bought tteokbokki for his mother in a previous episode and last episode he bought it for Min Ah.
For Song Hwa it is coffee but there is so much coffee going around I have no idea abt this. The only exchange I can think of is in ep 6 she bought one for IJ and he bought one for her.
For Jun Won I think it is chocolates.Ik Sun gave him chocolates when he went to return her phone.
There is whole lot going on with Ik Jun family and jajangmyeon. Woo Joo asked for them on his playdate. Ik Joon and Ik Sun were rap battling about them in the hospital. Jun Won went to meet Ik Sun on the pretext of eating them. On their date they had some type of jajangmyeon. For lunch with Ik Jun , Go Ara was having them. In the last episode during the dinner I think both Jun Won and Song Hwa were eating them. I have not seen GW eating jajangmyeon yet in any episode.
The only thing I could come up was they are foreshadowing relationships/family.There might be some other meaning to it but I am not able to think of it.
I read one theory about next episode preview. Just sharing it for fun.Some korean viewers are speculating that when Ik Jun calls GW’s name Jeong Won is trying to take out what looks like cigarettes and after hearing her name he hides it. That is why Ik Jun is looking at him suspiciously. They have further connected it to a scene in episode 4 with GW , Min Ah and Bong in the coffee shop. Supposedly the song that is being played in the background has words that translate to something like “ I will give up cigarettes if I can have you” . This surely seems like some curtain color level investigation done by korean viewers

After watching todays show even I am thinking the same. They were so blatant today with Ik Jun and Song Hwa. I had dejavu of reply 88 watching their scenes . First scene had SH ready for wedding . They showed her changing shoes probably indicating moving on. When IJ asked about the dinner in the evening her choice of words was when father Anh calls we have to go. The next shot was them sitting facing each other .She was bandaging his fingers and there were flowers visible in the background.
Second scene was them having dinner which was supposed to be treat given by dr Anh. They were on same side while other three facing them.She was laughing happily at Ik Joon’s jokes which others were finding lame. Third was him walking on her while she was changing and she helped him wash his face. All their scenes were so domesticated.
I was always wondering what is the connection with mafia game and the show because pd seems to talk abt it a lot. I guess the clue was in the game. In the first game chosen one was Madam Rosa . Second game chosen one was director Joo. His name in the show almost sounds like Jo jung seok. The pair they always show after these two is Ik Joon and Song Hwa.
I am also thinking the pairs are probably very much set. This is anyway not a romance drama so it does make sense to not give importance to unnecessary twists about lovelines. Probably for same reason the makers are saying this is not reply 88.

Hello everyone first time poster. I was not going to watch this drama till the season end knowing pd and writer.I was just following the music and osts. I happened to see the ost 4 cover and I was surprised to see they put a couple picture so early in 3 season drama. Curiosity got better of me and here I am. I am loving the drama . This time writer and director almost seem to have set on giving appropriate closures to the once from previous works.
JunWan IkSun - Jung Hwan Doksun
Ik Jun definitely seems like combination of lot of characters who never got the girl.
Jeong Won - Daddy long legs - Tae Woong Oppa from reply 97 The nice guy who lost in love twice.
The whole winter garden couple set up is like they are giving him a second chance of love that he let go. I think it is going to be a very long journey for this couple. The script was already foreshadowing it but after watching amount of fanservice bts they have released today for winter garden I am sort of certain they are going to put Ik Jun - Dr Jang - Jeong Won triangle. I think in the episode 3 in her whole conversation with Ik Jun regarding JW we can see she is having crush that is just adorable but she has not thought through it . Same is her admitting with straight face she likes Ik Joon when eating with other residents. Whether Jeong Won currently accepts or rejects I am sure they are going to put a twist by showing something like Gyeo wool realising she actually likes Ik Joon more than Jeong Won. Shin Hyun bin has put a display picture with red and black pen on her head. I dont know how to insert it. Red color is probably hint for Ik Joon. I think we will have to wait for next season to have any development between this couple. I am curious about how and what will stop Jeong Won from being priest. We dont have any backstory abt why he decided to be the one.I hope they dont show he postponed it for one year and again leave us hanging for the whole next season about it. It will be fun to see if he decides to persue Gyeo Wool instead of just supporting her .She will not be giddy in love and he will have to change his current cold behavior with her. It will be definitely character development for both as they will be able to see who they really are.
I think I can go on and on and about each and every character including side ones in this show. I was mainly here for music but atleast for now I am enjoying the whole show without worrying who is going to end up with whom. It also helps that JJS , JKH and YYS all three actors I like. I am also loving JMD and KMD. The amount of efforts they seem to have put to put the band together is commendable. JJS is such an awesome all rounder. Aloha sung by him and confession not so flashy ost are my current favorites.I hope others also get a chance to have their own osts .
