Omg I just finished watching episode 27 and what an intense episode! Feel so bad for SF! I defintely agree with @XxchinesedramacrazexX! Seemed like XJ harbored a lot of hatred due to the injustice she had to go through from horrible HC's scheme, which made her unhappy and had trust issues in the mortal relam. She literally fell down with a grudge, poor XJ.
On the other hand, when the God of War was about to be awakened, she was great/super strong!!!! LOVED it! She was ready to kill anyone who was in her way. Props to our female lead for acting that part super well!

Yay!!! Congrats to Love and Redemption again! They maintained their number 1 seat for drama of the week (at 7:14 in the video it's announced)! Also our two main leads made it to top 10 actors/actresses of the week too. Chen Yi got number 2 while Crystal Yuan got #7! Well deserved!

SpoilerShe remembers everything and gets all of her senses back, perhaps? There was a video clip where she asked SF why the feathers are gone, and it seemed like that was during their "first night" together. Sadly, I don't think that scene/time will come until later in the story.

I thought this drama aired on August 6, 2020 and will continue to air until sometimes in October 2020. Why are there so many episodes out already?
I believe people who paid for Youku VIP get to see more episodes. So that's why a lot of spoilers are out on different platforms.

Actually an immortal(HC) cannot interfere in mortal's day-to-day affairs, so he cannot do anything with XJ-SF affairs. Just finished watching ep 23 and 24! Thank goodness the torturing ended in ep 23. Poor SF! Loved how XJ stood up for him!
Does anyone know why...
SpoilerHC treats SF so bad? Doesn't HC recognize SF and or know his real identity as the Heavenly King's son? Unless HC doesn't know this yet. If he does know, that would be interesting bc being the Heavenly King's son is a pretty high status.
Unless....SF lost some of his status bc he followed XJ to the mortal realm/helped XJ, God of War, when she was known as someone who revolted/did wrong to the Heavenly Realm (which was why she was punished)?

Don't know if this is true or not. I thought someone mentioned that his character in the story was a small God in the Heavenly Relam. But who knows if they modified the storyline a bit for the drama. Also, they said XJ is actually really from the demon clan/relam since she was made from Mosha Xing.

HC teacher made suggestion to make HC & XJ married so they can learn the mantra to seal the barrier more stronger. It is only stupid barrier with sacred dragon to protect it, and it is not delicious to eat anyway. It was easy, back then i was the one who seal the barrier."
And when all the elders believed he is really Tengshe and ask him to help them, HC disagree because heavenly people should not interfered with mortal realm. So Tengshe tried HC skill, and then laugh, "With his skill and yours (XJ) together would not able to seal the barrier." (He kinda insult HC in this)
And about that girl who would be
marrying SF (fake marriage), i think that after that fiasco XJ stab SF in the heart. And SF wanna make XJ forget about him (he is afraid that fate really is not on his side, he kinda gave up here). But then they made up with that "scene"
Btw i also confused about something too,
after XJ stab SF, XJ is trying to seal the cup, but Tengshe said she couldn't do that because she will also perished with it, because it's not because she was God of War but because she was Juntian Cehai. What is Juntian Cehai? Is it somekind of protector of the cup?
I think I may have found the answer to the part we are confused on/who/what is Juntian Cehai!
SpoilerI asked Monica YAO, the uploader for some of the eng subbed videos I've shared in pervious posts about this. Monica said that Juntain Cehai is, "a weapon created from the spine and ribs of the Mosha Xing." So this probably means XJ is a part of Mosha Xing/is Mosha Xing in a way too since she was created from it!!!!!

@gladiolii thank you for sharing your thoughts! I definitely always love reading different perspectives because they make the whole experience of watching the drama together fun! Great writing/art will create space for the viewers to have different interpretations (and this drama is fulfilling this!)
Your thoughts actually makes me ponder about another idea/theme: good verses evil. Often times in stories, the heavenly relam is associated with "good/virtuous," "always right," and "fight evil." (Which probably explains HC's character and his own justification for using XJ as an object, sadly). With HC being the villain and diety of the Heavanly relam in this story, this character clashes against this association. So this begs a question that perhaps the author is giving to its viewers, what is good and what is evil/how do we know what is good and what is evil?
On the other hand, lol Cheng Yi/SF is so playful on set haha!

Once he return as the white emperor, I don't think he still likes her. He just want to use her as a weapon like before.

These are interesting thoughts (the debate about whether HC likes/loves XJ or not)! I'm leaning towards that HC does have some kinds of feelings for XJ. In episode 18 or 19, when XJ's heartbeat was going wild due to SF's kiss, one disciple (I forgot her name) came in to check on her. After she told XJ that her intense heartbeat was related to "love," HC overheard that conversation. The look on his face showed signs of unhappiness, and perhaps even jealousy. For sure he was disturbed lol. Also...when HC destroyed the flower lamp thing, he put another piece of the Kunlun tree into the pot. The flower lamp grew...so does that mean that deep within his heart, XJ is in it?! It might still be too early in the story to really know his true feelings, but we'll see. I suspect that he does like her more than just a friend/mentee.
I'm only up to episode 19, and so I can't say too much about HC's character/I will have to continue monitoring his character development. Unfortunately, it's very hard for me to say I like HC as a character. Though I do think his character is interesting and his character adds another complex layer into the story overall. So props to the writer! Overall, I feel similar to what XxchinesedramacrazexX said. HC is a character that is selfish and his actions and behaviors seem to stem from his desire to "keep the heavenly realm" at peace.

I believe she does really love SF too but she probably won't fully realize his wholeheartedly love for her until later...when she gains all her memories back. Gahhh I can't wait to see how she'll redeem herself. And yes, from the spoiler video, it seemed like he lied to XJ and everyone that he was Mo Sha Xing to protect XJ. As for Hao Chen....I can't helped but feel hatred toward him lol. Stay strong SF and XJ!!!!

SpoilerYeah, it does seem like SF love XJ more. From other small clips/videos I've seen, it does seem like XJ will redeem herself later in the story though!!! <3

Omg major spoilers for the second half/latter end of this drama probably just came out.
Looks like our leads will be going through some intense trials!!! I'm excited to see how the story will unfold (though I feel bad for Sifeng)! I vaguely understood some parts, but if anyone understands Chinese and is willing to let us know what was said in the video, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Aww the live broadcast of them reenacting the mask scene was cute! It may have been a little awkward because it has been probably a year or so since they've completed filming the drama, but regardless, still adorable!
On the other hand, does anyone know why Sifeng stuttered during the beginning of the drama? Was it because of the mask he was wearing, or was it because he was nervous around Xuanji?

I was listening to the ost, "Love Like Colored Glass." I'm curious to hear what everyone's thoughts are on this: What does love like colored glass mean for this story/drama? That phrase seems like it would be important/holds significant meaning to the story (or perhaps at least the ML's love for the FL since the lyrics seem to imply that) and "Love Like Colored Glass" is one of the main ost. Also, Zhou Shen (singer for this song) did an amazing job at singing this song!

Yeah, XJ's tribulation is a bit confusing. At one point I thought it was love from what HC said. But then it also seemed like the reason why XJ was sent down to the mortal relam was to lose her hostility/grudge bc she had too much of it when she was God of War. Her hatred was a threat to the Heavenly Realm. If her tribulation was to learn how to let go of grudges/lose her hostility, then it would make more sense for me. In each lifetime, she kept killing, was merciless, and probably eventually still died with hostility. There was even one life where SF used his life to eliminate her "li/evil" aura in hope to make her less hostile (this life is where he had her tied up in the air and when he used his life to eliminate her li, her black nails disappeared).
Regardless of what XJ's true tribulation is, one part did seem telling to me: she was indeed impacted by XF's sacrifice in each life (at least for me haha). After she kills him, I didn't see satisfaction but confusion and confliction. She didn't "trust" anyone but herself in the mortal realm, but there was a person (SF) who was willing to die for her and show her (sadly SF had to justify/show her by literally dying) that sincerity, love, and trust does exist. We'll just have to wait and see if more is revealed later in the story to define XJ's tribulation.
And yeah! I don't understand why some people hate XJ (I mean I do see why...bc they are invested in SF and feel terrible for him, and I feel bad for him too but still! It was his choice to follow her/sacrifice himself lol). It made sense how she treated SF the way she did in the past 9 lives due to her grudge.
