That's the thing, chingu. We get so invested and then they disappoint us so much. What did you love the most about 'Our Liberation Notes'?

It really hit me hard chingu. When Mi Jeong says that she does not know when things got bad but she is not happy nor unhappy. Also when Gu says that he hates the sight of people and they really tire him out. That is literally me. Not with everyone but with almost everyone LOL. Well, I felt like someone is showing me a mirror.

  2. After a long time I opened Soompi. Did not watch much dramas last year. Out of the dramas that I watched I loved My Liberation Notes, Through the darkness and Juvenile Justice. And my favorite character would be Yeom Chang Hee from MLN. Although I relate to Yeom Mi Jeong the most, followed by Gu Ja Gyeong.

The worst one was Grid. I sacrificed my sleep for that but what a letdown it turned out to be. And all the characters turned out to be stupid in Grid.

Chingu, how will you define good dramas?

For me a good drama is one which would force me to think about it. Of course no fast forwarding. I like character driven plot more. Good acting is must as that's what expresses the theme and plot. Also the ending has to be justified and not some plot twist just to please the fans.

    My top 15 is:

    Stranger 1 and 2

    Signal

    Life

    Mother

    Sky Castle

    Move to Heaven

    Lost

    Dark (German)

    The Victim's game (Taiwanese)

    Missing Noir M

    Criminal:UK (2nd season)

    Criminal:Germany

    Beyond Evil

    Children of Nobody

    Nobody Knows

This drama had the most difficult first episode to get through, I have personally ever experienced.  Yet this drama took an outstanding cast, a moving OST, and wove a deeply touching melancholic masterpiece, that I might have missed if I based my choices solely on ratings

Lost is a great drama but not for everyone. I am enjoying it and Ryu Jun Yeol is in my list now. I knew he was good but I didn't expect him to be that good. My second favorite drama of the year after Move to Heaven

  5. I felt that the ending was lousy and poorly written. Jun Yeong's death was an accident. They could have just reported it and said it was an accident. But then this drama would not have have happened. It would have been better if Eun Soo would have pushed him intentionally. That would have made sense and all the things her father did to protect her. Disappointing ending. I did not even understand BSH's guilt over the death of girl in the past until the last 2 to 3 episodes. Execution could have been better. This drama was cut down to 12 episodes so that could have affected the story telling.

As far as I understand Soo Hyun and Eun Soo lost their son in the car accident. Yeon Woo is definitely Jang Ho's son and may be Eun Ho (which I guess is Eun Soo's twin sister) is his biological mom. Jang Ho call Eun Soo as sis-in-law and he isn't Soo Hyun's brother. In Jun Yeong's third day rite, Jang Ho mentions to CSY that they first met on Eun Ho's funeral and since he calls Eun Soo as Eun Ho, i definitely think they are twins but am not sure which twin died, did Eun Ho take on Eun Soo's identity?

    Spoiler

As far as Japanese one goes, it was TV movie not series. There Eun Soo uses Jang Ho to get rid of Jun Yeong as she knew that he is her husband's son. Fuji TV Drama Special 2016 ~ Ichi no Higeki | Jdrama Weblog (wordpress.com)

There are many differences like in the Japanese one, the ML is a mystery writer and here Soo Hyun is an anchor. There I dont think any twin sister is involved. The plot is inspired by Ichi No Higeki but not an exact copy of all the events.

I gathered more info by reading other's comments.

  7. Spoiler

I haven't seen the Japanese version. But I managed to read a synopsis of that. According to that Eun Soo is the culprit with Jang Ho. She will use Jang Ho since he is obsessed with her. In the Japanese version, Yeon Woo is her and Jang Ho's son but here he is her twin sister's and Jang Ho's son. I don't know if it will follow the main plot exactly or have a twist. IMO, the theme may be same but here they have changed many things and I think someone who is a victim of Soo Hyun's silence in the past is the mastermind

Who is the brother of Baek Soo Hyun is it Jang Ho because they have different names, unless they are half brothers. Regarding YW, he was gone missing when he was a baby but they got him back was how interpreted that scene in episode 1. I don't think Seo Ki Tae would make him the heir if he was adopted. Remember that Seo Ki Tae cares greatly about legitimate bloodline.

Yeah at this point it is not clear whether they are brothers or not, I assumed it because he said sister-in-law to Eun Soo (my bad). So that means Yeon Woo is Eun Soo and Jang Ho's son then? Aah complicated relations. I wonder if Baek Soo Hyun betrayed Eun Soo or that affair with his son's mom (I dont know her name) happened before his marriage.

    Spoiler

If they follow the novel, then yes, Yeon Woo is Soo Hyun's brother's son. Yeon Woo's mother died when giving birth to him

Then there's the brother of Soo Hyun.. which I'm confused because he knows  Soo Hyun's secret and lies. But wait..... don't tell me he's  the real father of Yeon Woo????

Yep even I feel Yeon Woo is not Baek Soo Hyun's biological son. Either he is Eun Soo's and this brother's son (which will be quite awkward and too much) or he may be this brother's and some on else's child. I remember Eun Soo said they lost Yeon Woo when he was a baby or at a younger age. Did they lose their own son and this Yeon Woo they adopted? As for the kidnapping and the culprit, it is too early to say anything. At this point, I don't believe any character including BSH. But whoever is the culprit knows that Yeon Woo is not his son but the other boy. He or she always said that his son will be killed.

Peeps, I lost 2 family members including one of my dearest parent within a week to this pandemic. Our healthcare system is too overwhelmed that they are unable to save those who are not severe ones like my case. My case was rejected many times for admission otherwise I believe their they will continue to live.

Please take care. We will pray for you and your family.

    Yup, watching Iran vs Japan

I am rooting for Japan. But Japan is making silly mistakes.

Also Japan's coach decision of not including Yanagida and including Kenta Takanashi is beyond my understanding.

i love elena too! she demonstrated very good sportsmanship throughout! even when she missed the 10, she turned around and laughed at her mistake too!!

Yep, she was amazing too. They both were neck to neck. But Elena took the loss gracefully and am sure she will get her chance in Paris.

unfortunately i missed An's matches, but it's impressive. ALL GOLD! Her new nickname should be Gold and yes kick those men's asses. I can't believe some demand to take her medals. Such idiocy - sad state of human beings.

Exactly as if they won the medals and gave it to her. She WON it on her own. And I watched all her matches, she was phenomenal.

So with this your learning happens at a much faster pace. So while things could be hectic in your new company, I think if you love learning things, you will be enjoying it

And if things do get hard, remember you've got a sibling working in start up, and I am always ready to rant about the clients and workload

Yeah Sibling, my primary aim is to learn what I did not in my 5 years of career. Package is important but that is now secondary to me. The startup I am joining is on the beginning stage and have less than 45 employees. So, am hoping to learn a lot of new things.

Yeah, I knew I have to go out of my comfort zone to grow but I didn't have the courage to take the first step and was afraid of failures. But now I am ready for the challenge.

you know, sometimes i hate some companies that intentionally make the employee resign himself rather than offer a retrenchment package!!

Even the company I work for did to few of the employees, and one of them was a Vice President of our department which shocked us because he was doing such a good job. Because of him we were getting good quality work but now it's like the work of a side kick.

I get very sad when I hear about layoffs, and have been hearing about it happening in India a lot since the Pandemic started. So Chingu, did you switch jobs? How's your current job? I hope it is not as busy as it was before. For me, as you know I am working in Start Up, so things are always crazy in start ups, with workload always increasing. I am just thinking it to be part of learning and trying my best to learn as much as I can, before switching company.

I was more afraid that the team will be shut down. Now it's actually heading towards that direction. I am about to join a start up only. Excited but nervous at the same time.

Anything can happen in next year´s wc. I mean they are held in Qatar.  I always Favor the underdogs or the Smaller football country´s.    I was really huge brazil when I started watching football. It was still the time when Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos played.  I still remember the 2002 final when Brazil won Germany in the Final.

Whatever sports I follow, I wish every good team to win major tournaments. Although, I was rooting for Italy in Euro, seeing England lose and their reactions I felt bad. Ronaldhino is my all time fav.

@partyonUnnie, @Sleepy OwlSibling, how are you... There were layoffs happening at work. So, I took a break from social media and learnt some new skills to switch jobs
