    I agree with @ibru Guys its better we don't talk about that scandal. It was a very difficult time for all of us since we knew he did NOTHING bad, and they, the media and a particular company framed him maliciously.

    In fact it cannot even be called a scandal, but rather a controversy flamed by antis which had no truth. Many popular celebs faces this kind of things, recently Kim Yoo Jung and the ridiculous "looking at her nails on stage" controversy which resulted in her being admitted to a hospital.

     

    And that happened way back and mostly in NATE, a site where haters comment, not regular people. Sane people and celebs especially will not care about that or even know about it. What actress BHS meant was Sukkie may sometime have a chic aura which perhaps seems difficult to approach until you meet him and see how adorable he is. 

     

    Koreans often talk about aura of a person, and it is a positive thing.

     

    @masagumi I regularly read Knetz comments. And the only people who remember the airport incident are a few antis on NATE. Rest everybody has moved on. It was proved that he is innocent, and it was big only on that site. Public didn't care, and it was NEVER a big scandal at the first place. The max upvotes were around 2000 back in 2014, after which he was received very positively during Dr Stranger.  NB kept translating bad articles about him with less upvotes as they usually do, so some ifans perhaps doesn't know.

     

    Also there are anti journalists, and knetz calls these people out for lying about him. No worries chingu:)

    It’s surprising ... is it for a new series he gained weight?  For the past few years he has been so skinny...

     

     

     

    He had to gain weight for VIP, the director had asked him, but later lost a little, as the director said too much. After that he has been inactive till now, so he gained some more. When he starts on a new work, I guess he will lose this weight.

     

    Actually Jong Suk was chubby in High Kick 3 his cheeks(he has a tendency to get chubby cheeks) which is why Knetz mocked him a lot, calling him fat, and he was hurt and decided he had to lose a lot of weight, and then they mocked him again for being too thin, calling him anchovy.

    I would rather he is chubby than underweight like he was in Dr Stranger, that looked unhealthy.

     

    His cheeks are more rounder since he gained weight for VIP, but his body looks good imo, I prefer this than too skinny.

    I remember when Dramabeans editor picked Kang Chul as the best character (male) in 2016. We had an interesting discussion. Some people were commenting "But how is he the best character, if we cannot connect with him? He has been through SO much that no normal person will ever empathise with him" 

    And I told them then, that is the point of it. KC is a larger than life figure, he has been through things which people cannot even imagine which also makes him so very attractive to the audience and the readers of the manhwa. Remember, dad is a lazy writer, the story he wrote was quite generic, except it had this Tragic hero with a mysterious past and an unidentified villain, which appealed to all and the manhwa became a best seller.

     

    What Song Jae Jung's genius point is- that she creates a situation where where we see this hero who was a 2D larger than life handsome comic character, flesh out, becomes real, and we realize that all the movies or dramas where we root for such tragic characters FOR OUR PLEASURE, actually is suffering coz of that.  Its horrifying!

     So in a way we can never empathise, but when KC becomes a human we can sympathise him. Which pretty much makes it an awesome character, unlike others this has many layers to it

    She actually creates 2 characters even at the beginning before the memory erasure. There is this hot CEO who we drool over, but who we are distant from and then we see the man who is tortured going through an existential crisis, for whom we actually feel. So very meta!

    Sukkie stood in line to get tickets for himself and his WYWS friends and co stars for the musical theatre/concert that he had posted on his ig few weeks ago, lol so sweet:heart: Actress Baek Hye Sun said she was surprised he came unannounced and shouted "Sunbaenim well done", they all say he is so cute and humble for not having his manager buy tickets  but instead standing in queue himself:blush: and he invited her to his cafe, and she went there

    I read an old interview where he said he would like to choose clothes for his girlfriend sometime, its romantic:heart:

    I always felt this NOYB dress is special since they usually make hoodies and stuff and this is a very pretty dress. It cannot be a coincidence. Look how beautiful she looks
