Also no matter how I dislike the drama there is one of the best and best filmed fight scenes in LJG's career. 1. About his co-stars, remember he was kind of the middleman, not the most senior but not the most junior actor either.Starting with the senior ones like his dad, mom, step mum, the general in the mlshr drama etc..those actors usually play important but supporting characters, so they can afford to hop from one drama to the next within a year because they have fewer lines and scenes thus less exhausting and easy to detach and immerse themselves from one character to the next.In my opinion they are not really aiming to create iconic characters but just help in narrating the drama stories.As for the younger co stars like for example 8th prince who can also be considered one of the main characters; a simple google search will tell you that he is majorly a film actor rather than a drama actor and he is like the blue chip young blood of the k-movie industry. Hence why he is in so many movie productions before, during and after MLSHR.

2.As for 3rd prince, 13th prince, and 14th prince, remember they are almost a decade younger than JG.So it makes sense for them to be running around, trying to gain more acting experience and mark their place in the industry and and grabbing every opportunity available to them.They cant afford to be leaving too much time gaps because they are replaceable.Also lets not forget two out of the three are getting all these projects because of agency backing, Whereas JG doesnt need that.Also look at the time line, MLSHR finished filming in June; between July and August was heavy promos for MLSHR.show aired between August-Early November.November -December was post show interviews, magazine photo shoots and it being an international success, everyone wants a piece of him, international fans of the drama, journalists etc, the sbs drama awards, polls upon polls as a result of his success.its only fair he basks in the glory of his hardwork for the drama.January- February: resident evil promo and premiere plus the casting announcement for criminal minds. March to April: my ear candy with tvn.No space anywhere to overlap with a new movie or drama with or without the fan meets.

3.More importantly I think he operates on 'quality better than quantity' philosophy.Even though this interview was four years ago but i dont think this has changed for him: look what he says here;

Q:You are now in the process of selecting your next project. What do you place the most emphasis on when choosing a project? what are your expectations?
JG:The most important thing is that the show shouldn’t be something purely for entertainment, but it should be something that resonates with the audience. I think a show that touches the hearts of many is better than one that leaves the audience with nothing at the end. Of course, the basic requirement is that I should find the scenario interesting when I read it.

So i think if this is what still guides him when choosing projects, then it makes sense for him to invest his energy on only one or maybe two at most per year to produce this outcome.This is why we have shows like: king and the clown, the time between dog and wolf, iljimae (to some extent), two weeks and now scarlet heart ryeo. These are shows that were not just mere entertainment but shows that had heart. So even though two weeks had "low" domestic ratings and scarlet heart ryeo too plus its perceived "flaws" by those who absolutely hated the drama, and the other three are almost a decade ago.There are many people still rave about these shows today and some dont understand why.

Whereas the most recent popular shows were just like a puff of air, talk about them for a month or two and then disappear.They dont leave long lasting impression. How many actors at his age can boast of that?.I know he is now a veteran actor.Some of his fellow veteran actors hope from one project without taking a break in a year. I mean it works for them. But JG plays his characters in such a way that both he and us the audience get too attached to the character, and we need time to adjust to the next character.Can you imagine if he had just wrap up wang so, in end october and then begin filming a new drama in November. Even now its been seven months already but people are still suffering from the "wang so effect". That's how powerful he is.

4.As for the director thing, he really has a knack for it.His people skills are excellent.You know he did help direct 10th prince's dying scene.And that to me, was that character's most memorable scene in the whole drama.You can check MLSHR BTS. He even shows 10th prince how to act out the scene and kept cheering him on until he acted the scene well.Also look at part of his advice to an aspiring actress(there is more but here is the summary: its already been posted before but still(dont be too mesmerised by the pretty face coz he sure is looking beautiful here read the subs) :

This is where you know he does really read his fans' opinions.Its just that in the end, this guy has a firm grasp on his career.He knows what he is doing.He will take constructive criticisms on board. This is why the upcoming 'criminal minds' is such a welcome project.I can guarantee we will be enjoying something similar to this type of performance but now even more refined like wine.

Iljimae (2008): I was really debating whether to include his historical dramas in this list.Since I already did a parade of that a few pages back. But since its a dramography please forgive me.How can i leave some dramas out and call it a JG dramography parade.Our JG's love affair with masks started long time ago.Dont his lips and eyes look pretty even when wearing his iljimae mask?

Hero (2009):Aww this cute journalist.Even though i wont say this is one of my favourite dramas of his.But one of many occupations I think JG would excel in, if he wasnt an actor is in journalism.He really has the personality for it.Great voice for TV presenting and radio D-Jaying. He is a good talker(um is there such a thing).

Arang and the Magistrate (2012):That uniform.There will never be an k-actor for me who wears it better than he does.Trust me i've seen quite a number of them.He is just the cutest when he pouts.He did it alot in this drama.

Yay!!!new magazine photos..looking forward to new amazing shots of JG.He can do both(photoshoot and film drama)though.gotta make that money.By the way the car chase filming is scheduled at these times from 22:00pm -5:00 am everyday.So he can do other non demanding stuff during the day on those days and go back to the set whenever he is needed.

Also let's not forget our JG is an experienced model especially editorial/fashion magazine shoots.Posing is easy cake for him.They can take the perfect shots they need in under 3-4 hours if they are not going for many looks(hair, outfit and makeup changes).like if they are only featuring him on the cover and maybe two or three inside pages.that wouldn't need the whole day to do.

 "Beautiful" for males in french is "beau" and  for female is "belle".Other variants you can use for JG include "joli" (pretty), "magnifique" (magnificent), "mignon" (cute), "attirant"(attractive).But there still needs a word to be invented to describe JG's beauty.sigh.

@glassnokamen yes, even during Goryeo, the women dressed up better than Joseon era. Pretty hanbok with pastel colours matching with their accessories. 

The forever Goryeo vs Joseon debate among international drama fans. I also prefer goryeo than joseon historical drama. Goryeo fashion is more vibrant and interesting to me than joseon fashion looks so plain and boring.Also during kiss scenes.Those Joseon hats though, I've always had the urge to yank those hats off their heads.And those strings they tie around their chin look so uncomfortable.I remember in one scholar bts, JG kept having NG cause the hat kept falling off and sliding into his face in one action scene.

In my humble opinion, I think this is something we shouldnt be worried about too much.I think it is a temporary situation.We really should remain patient(its hard i know as fans, patience is not a virtue for most of us including me) and have faith in JG.There is a reason he has survived for 16 years in the industry.His tenacity and perseverance has no bounds.I dont believe he is the kind to cower in fear, just because of a few measly delusionals and haters.Yes it is very possible that his account is being managed by a namoo employee since his posts have no captions just emojis. or himself but he is being careful about his actions on social media(unfortunate given he didnt commit a crime lol).

I am grateful we are even getting posts on his IG account and he hasn't shut it down yet.There is still occasional bile and venom comments but its getting better. Considering that Korean celebs especially high profile ones like JG, no matter how trivial a scandal, when it happens, they usually take a period of at least 3 months to a year, in hibernation from social media and just work quietly.I can assure you now the sly Korean media especially the tabloid ones, are on alert because now JG is hot commodity.Anything with JG's name now is click bait and buzz worthy.

Lately, I've seen more and more Korean celebs this year getting into unnecessary drama, and dragged into gossip just because of sns including insta. I don't work in PR don't even know how they operate.But I would also advise him to lay low for now and just drive all the attention to his drama.Believe me its silly, but it only starts with one sleazy tabloid or delusional troll to start gossip.If he uploads a selfie outside his work.It could be anything, his hair, clothes, appearance, his caption interpreted the wrong way, his facial expression, anything.And the last thing he needs right now is being dragged into rubbish like this when his drama is only a month away.For his sake and for his drama castmate's sake.I think its a smart business move.Lets feed on the crumbs we are being given for now.Once he is truly back it will even be sweeter.I actually think we will be getting more selfie updates during the time the drama airing.
