    REVIEW EP 10

    When you think you’ve seen it all but really you haven’t seen s***.

    We open with where we left off last week. So claiming Soo as his and telling her that she out of all people should understand him the most and that she cannot leave him. It is his command to her. He then drags her and rides off to the ocean with her on a horse. Jung sees them and goes to tell Wook. Book’s initial response is he doesn’t believe it. He refuses to believe that she went with him, “That’s not possible. You must have saw wrong.” I think the reality that So is taking (has already taken) the girl whom he loves away from him hasn’t completely sunk in yet and also he has not been able to do anything about it. When he realises she has left the palace he becomes angry as this means trouble and potential punishment for Soo. The contrast between Wook and So is that So has no bounds, he does what he wants and what he believes will protects those he loves. Wook on the other hand is always in conflict with whether he should follow his heart or the rules and this hinders him in many ways.

    “Neither of us will be safe anymore, Your Highness. Then should we run away now? If you wanted to, I would do it.” Like So has stated himself he has given himself to Soo and these lines just reinforce how much he loves and wants to be with her. He will throw away everything he has and run away with her. At this point it is very evident that nothing and I mean nothing can set him and her apart.The repetition that he will take her with him wherever he goes and he will stay wherever she stays serves proof of this.

    “I have feelings for another. Is it Baek Ah? No, it’s not Baek Ah. It’s fine then as long as it’s not Baek Ah. If it were any other man, I might have killed him.” OTL. Back Ah and So alliance be going so strong. It highlights how close Baek Ah is to him and how much he trusts and respects him as a younger brother and as one of the people closest to him. The confession she makes does not seem to phase him nor does he care. I guess he is confident that she is not slipping away from him and it’s war between him and Wook.

    “Try running away from me then.” The smile he gives after saying that though. He is beyond confident that she ain’t going anywhere. The ocean is a place of freedom. It a place that has no bounds. To me him taking her there shows that he wants his freedom and that he will be able to bring her freedom. He will do what it takes to set her free and man was this scene BEAUTIFUL. The irony of it all is that her freedom means not leaving his side.

    Confrontation between Soo and Wook and Jung. I can’t even right now. Look looked hella pissed and Jung was not happy about the situation either. “The King has already given her to me.” Where is the lie. Poor Wook has to deal with the reality of it all. “Gave her to you? You will go with him?” Wook cannot believe his ears. Yet again his inability to accept what is happening.

    The scene between Wook and Yo was very insightful into Wook’s inner character. Yo’s words of “advice” or “wisdom” really woke Wook up I think. Will it cause trouble? I guess we will have to wait and find out. “You and I, don’t we have some things we agree on.”  That line really spooks me out. I don’t want Wook to become like you Yo. WHAT?!?! After Yo leaves, Wook follows Yo’s advice and hits the target. 

    Wook and Soo are sitting in the cave and having a conversation. Look looks rather sad and soft. His eye are glossed over with tears. He himself realises that he was always contemplating and debating his actions. He compares himself to So and realises he was able to do it in one go not worrying about the consequences but Wook himself was unable to do anything like that. Now he finally takes a stance as tells her that he will ask the King’s permission to marry her. The parallels in this scene and the scene at the ocean show great similarities in the end goals of Wook and So. They both want to take her and run away/ move out of the palace with her and live happily ever after.

    “Will you be my wife?” OMG i got all tingly and jittery when he said that. But man Soo just started thinking about her visions again and left him hanging. Awwwww poor Wook. And Soo never gives her response because Lady Oh comes in to join the party. Honestly this scene and the ocean scene are parallels of each other. Wook and So’s actions would’ve brought great danger to Soo if Lady Oh had not stepped in. I’m so worried for Lady Oh’s fate T_T

    The scene where Soo is telling So the difference between affection in a friendships and love but So’s response was that he categorises everything as one. MY GOSH!!! Would I not love to be your friends So. “I won’t do it without your permission anymore.”  That is a big at lie So me you and everyone else watching knows that! But man that made my heart flutter. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF HIS SMILES!!! Also the circular frame which they are sitting in really reminds me of the moon.

    Jump to where Wook tells his mother and sister that he wants to marry Soo and move out of the palace to live in Hwangju with her. He states he has no interest in the throne (oh we know that will not be true very soon) and Yeon Hwa’s responses just show how in shock she is. Her facial expression says, has my brother lost his goddam mind?!!??!?! Both Wook and his mother are tired of chasing that bloody throne but Yeon Hwa is far from it. 

    “I think… it’s time for me to come out from behind your skirt, Mother.” Yeon Hwa throws everything aside and walks the path that will get her where she wants to be. Although she hates Queen Yoo because Queen Yoo can help her achieve her end goal she goes straight to her. She will go through whatever means necessary to reach her desired result and to me this really highlights that Yeon Hwa has no fear.

    All this plotting and scheming and making things appear the way they are when they’re not. I’m so sick of your s*** Queen Yoo. 

    Won you had no screen time before and I was highly anticipating it. Now that you’ve gotten screen time I think I prefer when you didn’t. I hated you a lot less then and you were actually kinda funny. We really do need to be careful what we wish for. Won you’ve had like 5 minutes screen time I freaking hate your guts!

    The tea scene had me on edge. I feel like if I had heart issues I would have suffered from a heart attack cause the strain in my chest kept increasing as So drank each cup of tea. I was like no don’t do it but I knew he was doing it for Soo and my heart was crying.

    Okay before I get into the serious bit. Friends 1000 years ago are still friends now. I'm sorry I just had too. The bromance between Baek Ah and Jung (NJH and JS) is just goals.

    Okay now back to business! This b**** needs to get hanged or have her head chopped off. I ain’t even sorry I said that cause when you hurt Soo and So like this you don’t deserve anything less cruel.

    As humans we understand emotions like pain, suffering, fear, love and many more that allow us to show others how we feel and empathise with what others are feeling. NOW my question is why do these people who I presume are human also and share these emotions like everyone else lack the sense of guilt? Never do they show an ounce of guilt for their preposterous actions. Especially mother dearest over here. SHE WATCHED HER OWN SON DRINK POISONED TEA WITHOUT BATTING AN EYELID. SHE SHOWED NO REMORSE, NO GUILT, NO SHAME AT ALL. Can I really classify her as human? She scares me to my very core. At least Yeon Hwa showed that she was worried for So but I personally don’t think she felt any guilt for what she had done. If anything the guilt would’ve stemmed from the fact that she’s hurting someone that she cares so dearly about. This shows that she hasn’t lost connection with her humanity. Queen Yoo on the other hand has just hands down 100% completely lost it.

    “It wasn’t the cup. You poisoned the tea.”  

    “I am drinking poisoned you poured me.” That line shattered my heart. 

    The intensity of this scene was built on the duration and pauses between each time So took a drink. After the first drink he was squeezing his arm really tightly trying to fight his reactions to the poison. Then after the second one his arm became very shaky and unstable and by the third one he was unable to control his emotions completely. The stability of LJK’s expressions are truly amazing. I would believe that he was actually poisoned cause all the tiny reactions that he displayed were very much on point. 

    The last scene where you could really tell he was trying to hold it in and walk away so that no one would know he was poisoned was definitely the highlight of the episode. The tension and pain that you could see in his face and that small bit of blood oozing out of his mouth had me on edge. He did all of this to protect the one he cares so deeply for and loves with all his heart. If Hae Soo does not give her whole heart to him now I do not know what I would do.

    I swear if one of the antagonists don't die a slow painful death or experience something as painful as what So experienced today and what Soo will experience tonight I will personally grab a knife and do it myself. As if I haven’t been torn apart enough tonight’s episode will completely obliterate me. Although I say this I am still highly anticipating it and no matter what cliffhanger it lands on I will accept it because my heart for once needs a break from all these traumatic and heart wrenching events.

    I loved last night’s episode as all the action and plotting is finally underway.  Although there are many sad and heart breaking moment I really do love every second it definitely keeps me anticipating what will happen next and really draws me in. I hope all Eclipses are doing well despite all the craziness that has taken place. Hope you’re all staying hyped and psyched for tonight’s episode and I shall see you guys then!!     We know that Hae Soo will be held responsible for So's poisoning but someone gets hanged. I don't think it's Soo I think it might be Lady Oh because the hands look like they belong to someone older and has done more hands on work. Someone has to pay for the crime that has been committed and Hae Soo can't die yet so... I'm in tears.

    Yo and Wook having some bonding time. Wook's determination seems to have skyrocketed 10 fold. Question now is how much will this change him?

    We are all highly anticipating tomorrow's episode. Whether we are ready or not we want to see everything go down.

    One thing I am most anticipating is all the princes reactions to the ordeal that happens to Soo. So far we have somewhat of an idea of So's reaction but not really in depth. Was Soo tortured or just beaten? Seeing Chae Ryung getting whipped pricked my heart but I guess the events just get worse from here on out. How will Wook react? Is his reaction that of him screaming her name in agony? What about Baek Ah, Eun and Jung? The 3 youngest who are so pure and adore Soo so very much, their love for her stems from different places. How will they respond when they see that Soo has been punished? Will they ever find out she wasn't responsible? Tears will be spilled and hearts will be torn but ultimately will this change any of the princes? Is this the real engine starter for the fight for the throne? 

    MY GOD I'M SO CURIOUS. THE TEASING ISN'T HELPING. 24 HRS TO GO. I SHOULD JUST STOP COUNTING DOWN IT'S NOT GONNA MAKE TIME GO ANY FASTER. FML.

    OMG I WENT TO SLEEP THINKING IT'S OKAY MONDAY IS NEARLY HERE. AND THEN I WAKE UP TO SUCH SAD AND PAIN FILLED IMAGES. I'M NOT READY FOR THIS. HAE SOO, LADY OH, SO AND JUST THE WHOLE BLOODY CAST WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME. I'M GOING TO DROP DEAD DURING LIVESTREAM I CAN ALREADY FEEL IT. THIS KINGDOM IS BLOODY RUTHLESS.

    I think the subs during Baek Ah and Woo Hee's conversation was a little lost in translation, as for me it was subbed as , "If you are Baek Ah, I am one of your attendents.". At that point I thought she was just saying she was below him in status but then I realised she didn't even know he was a prince then. So I found this on tumblr and it makes a lot more sense now. Their wittiness definitely has a meaning behind it! This is so befitting to how another great love story begins! I absolutely love it :heart:
