    Episode 12: So and Soo

    This episode the OTP shared many touching scenes that turned to crap because Soo kept pushing him away. I was beyond frustrated. 

    When So says his goodbyes to Soo before heading off to fight. I really loved that scene. So didn't care how much she pushed him away he turned it all to positive energy. He is so devoted to her that NOTHING can tear him away from her, not even her.

    Soo wants So to forget her and asks him to move on as everything that's happened thus far has been her fault but he retaliates by saying "It is you who might run into bad luck if you get involved with me." Despite all this he states that he will not let go.

    Although he said he would ask for permission to kiss her he gives her a surprise peck and says he lied. That was so cute like OMG I can't even. Like how has Hae Soo not fallen head over heels for him yet. Bro is she blind?!?!?!

    She wants to return the hairpin to him and he grabs it stating that it'll be his good luck charm for when he leaves the palace. "I'll be back soon." and then he walks off. He turns around and waves one last goodbye and the smile I am DEAD. Literally whenever So smiles I'm just like yes take my heart I totally don't need it anymore.

    Then we hear Soo's thoughts,

    "I will not be waiting."

    "Though you risked your life for me..."

    "Though you called me your person..."

    "I cannot do it."

    "I know I had feelings for another. So why is it that I can't let you go or ignore you?"

    I wonder Soo... I wonder... Uhhhh BECAUSE YOU'RE F****** IN LOVE WITH HIM AND YOU ARE TRYING OH SO HARD TO SUPPRESS THOSE EMOTIONS!!! Yea anyway let's move on shall we...?

    1 Year Later

    Okay so here is where my blood boils. So returns and immediately says  "I missed you." Unlike Wook he did not need to be asked. He whole heartedly told her while hugging her. But she immediately tells him that he shouldn't be here and that he should pretend he didn't see her. Yet again unlike with Wook she pushes him away immediately.

    But then he sees that his mask is on and gets worried that his scar may have gotten worse or he has forgotten how to cover it. She loves him and everyone can see except her. Like how frustrating can this get? When she realises he is fine she yet again pushes him away. Woman I think you're getting the brothers slightly confused here. LIKE WTF WAS THAT?!!?!

    She limps off and of course he goes after her and grabs her. That's when Soo loses it. She asks him to leave her alone. But we begin to see that she is pushing him away because she doesn't want him to "fall". "Please, don't abandon who you are for me."  She wants him to be great and not hinder himself because of her. But clearly she doesn't realise what he wants.

    "When I meet you, I recall everything I want to forget."

    My lord you don't need to stab him in the heart like that. All he's ever wanted to do was love and protect you and you've made it a very difficult task for him. Now you're gonna thrown knives at him. This scene was like heart fluttering and then getting hammered till it becomes dust. 

    During the Ceremony

    They meet again and and So says "Let's get married." Even after all that pushing away he is not going to throw her away. He's willing to do anything and everything for her to help her out of the life she's in now but she rejects him without even thinking. When Wook asked her she was stunned and could not pull together a response but with So she was straight up like no. I understand the circumstances are different and she now knows that he will become the King so she should not try change his fate but man that was brutal. So himself states that he does not want to be King but she questions him,

    "What if you were to become King, Your Highness? Would you still leave?"

    "If I were King would you leave with me?"

    I love how that was scripted. He's always thinking about what Soo wants and what's best for her. His love for her is so intensely strong it's cray cray. He desperately wants to set her free and we see that even when he is not with her he is constantly thinking about her. Him and Wook are definitely polar opposites there is no doubt about it. Whenever Soo interacts with either of them I just pick up how different it is.

    And of course Wook had to be there listening to everything. It keeps it entertaining and extremely frustrating of course. But like I've said multiple times I love it cause So and Wook interaction is what I'm hyped for :)

    Episode 12: Wook and Soo

    The encounter between them occurred 1 year after she was sent to Gyobang. He did not get to say goodbye to her and then he didn't go and visit her until a year later. Why? The guilt that he was unable to do anything for her consumed him. He could not bring himself to face her. And when he did all that he could do was look at her with tears in his eye. 

    An interesting thing is that his position as the controller has not changed. He stays standing and she has to get up to talk to him. I can't help but think that is this was So he would have knelt down to greet her and talk to her. Just wanted to throw that out there.

    She is of course surprised that he came and happy to see him. He asks her how her leg is and she responds "Only when I work too long or I am by the water. I am alright." This is basically her saying that she is constantly in pain as she works all day AND by the water. To me because she fell in love with him first she is expecting a response which is similar to what So had given her. I feel like she wants to hear that he is worried about her and that he is going to get her out of here.

    "Did you miss me? Even once? Did you ever miss me?"

    After a whole year and finally seeing each other again this is what she wondered. Why did it take so long for him to come see her? Was he even thinking of her all this time? His response is simple.

    "Every day. I longed for you every moment."

    "That's all I need."

    This was the response she wanted to hear. It was all she wanted. Something so small from Wook and she was happy. I guess her heart is still with him. However to me Wook is only saying this. As we are well aware Wook is more focused on the throne now. That's his first priority now, not Soo. I mean initially when she leaves without saying good bye you can see the absolute despair and pain. But as time passed I feel like he knew that in order to get her back he would need more power thus his focus shifted towards the throne. Now that his focus is on the throne I feel like he will be blinded by that and Soo will just become a distant memory. My god having to say that is really hard. Here is why I think this.

    When him and his sister were talking about him being a shadow of Yo his dark and calculating demeanour really scared me. He is smart and we know that but as due to all events that have occurred we can see he is quite conniving. Even more so than Yo. He thinks before he acts and puts himself in the best position possible. He basically is sacrificing his sister to get where he wants and the smile he gives her man that gave me chills.

    "Don't make me feel more sorry than I do."

    I really think Lady Oh's words are haunting him. And he can't even suppress the fact that he is feeling burdened, he has to just let it out. And after saying this he turns to leave because we see the tears spilling from his eyes. Which made me realise Wook has never actually cried in front of Soo. Maybe my memory doesn't serve me but the time when he was about to he stormed off and went to an isolate area to get himself together. The complexities of Wook. No matter how much I hate him I am thoroughly intrigued by him. Him and So's fight is the most exciting thing for me right now cause I am so over lovey dovey relationships because for some reason they all get turned to s***.

    This scene was very well done though. It made the viewer frustrated. At least it made me frustrated. They meet for the first time after 1 year after he turned his back on her. And the first thing she wants to know is if he missed her. UGHHHHHH. The acting by both LJE and KHN was definitely on point. You could see the struggles they had gone through and the pain they were both feeling. All this was shown just through their teary eyes. I just cannot deal RN.

    Woo Hee you should've just stabbed me to rid me from suffering from this drama. It's like once you think things are gonna lighten up and be happy it slaps you right in the face. From when So and Soo's relationship progress was blooming when he said he missed her and then she walked away from him cause she was in a state where she was unable to love anyone after Lady Oh's death and Wook walking away from her. And then Baek Ah and Woo Hee becoming close and then her stabbing him. Like COME ON! HOW MANY HEARTWRENCHING/HEART ATTACK MOMENTS DO YOU NEED TO GIVE ME!?!?! JUST CAUSE I'M NOT DEAD YET JESUS! 

    I may want to let my heart rest and wait for all episodes to be released before watching cause:

    1. I can't stand having heart attacks this late at night.

    2. I can't stand waiting precariously for the next episodes, LBR the one week wait is sooooooooo long.

    3. I think I just need a break, the angst and tension in this drama is just too high. I'm suffering, the characters are suffering, Eclipses are suffering. We're all just SUFFERING.

    But who am I kidding can I really stay away... Hope everyone is still alive! I shall be back soon... Night :)

    King looks like he's about to drop dead any second yet decides to go to the party. Same when I feel like I'm about to die I go to parties too. Man what is he thinking going against the advice of the doctor.

    I can't I should not have watched this live OMG this is too much to handle. Baek Ah and So are like the same. Doing whatever it takes to protect the one they love. He dove in there without hesitation cause if she had murdered the King it would be game over for her. BAEK AH WHY ARE YOU SUCH AN ANGEL!?!?! I need to go take a breather.

    This scene was sad and I didn't even fully understand what they were saying. She asked if he missed her and I'm guessing he did but didn't express it well enough. And he's always turning around and walking off. Like what's that all about!? Are they tears of regret Wook? They better be!

    This ship sunk faster than Titanic I can't even with Wook RN. WTF was that?!!?!?
