I'm more worried not sad. I am really looking forward to this scene. It's just last time the teaser of So pulling Soo into a hug when it was raining I was so excited for it and thought it would be a good positive outcome of their growing relationship but it turned out she pushed him away from her due to her visions. Of course something positive came out of that scene to where he was able to tell her that he finally likes the person he is becoming and that people are finally accepting him with a huge smile but due to other factors there was still strain and distance in their relationship. And Soo wasn't fully their what I mean by that is she wasn't really listening cause she was so scared from the visions.
In the end I am all for the struggles So and Soo go through because to me that's how their bond become stronger than ever and that makes me very happy. It's just I don't wish to have my hopes up for that scene where I'm like yesssss it's gonna be all happy and cheery and then a curveball gets thrown at me. I hope you understand what I mean Thanks for worrying! This show really has taken me on a rollercoaster ride and it's not about to stop anytime soon. I'm still very excited but slightly worried obviously the excitement outweighs the worry! We all know that this show is amazing especially when they have a surprise.

The concern on So's face and the sadness in Soo's makes me feel worried for them. I mean I thought this scene was meant to be one that was playful, cute, loving and a temporary goodbye between the two, but both their expressions seem to state otherwise.
How utterly broken Wook look in this picture is just no words... KHN you are one amazing actor and I'll love you forever. Wook I guess the regrets of your actions are kicking in and it's already too late. It really pains my heart to see you like this

A fellow Eclipse mentioned that although So and Wook were born in the same year they are undeniably different.
It is VERY VERY true. One of the situations which I found interesting and showed their differences was when both "asked" for Soo's hand in marriage,
while Wook asked:
So stated:
SO is SLAYING my life RN! I lied when I said I needed a 5 day break. I need Monday NOW!

Despite all the terrible things that have happened in the drama the release of new BTS stills are so cute and remind me that they're all friends in real life. The case is beyond adorable.
We're so good at hide-and-seek.
Oh look you have something on your chin. Oh you do too hahahaha.
Getting ready to be scolded.

Female Characters
This series has its fair share of strong female characters. First and foremost the ancient times were no easy place to live for a lady. Life as a woman meant being dominated and living under a man's rule. These characters however showcase through their will power whether be good or bad to stand their own ground.
1. Lady Oh to me is the strongest female character I have witnessed in this series so far. Despite all the hardship she has been put through she remained level headed till the very end. She watched as her lover left her for the throne and marry other women while she was left to serve him. She lost her only child because of one of his evil concubines yet she remained benevolent. She may have hated Queen Yoo for her actions but she knew very well where she stood. Till the end she was resolute and told Queen Yoo to live a long life while she will watch her become lonely in her afterlife. She asked her lover to end her life in order to save Soo whom she saw as her own child. Lady Oh was definitely courageous and an amazing character in this story. Although it was short lived she made her mark.
2. Lady Hae although the physically weak and lacking like Lady Oh held great mental strength. She whole heartedly loved Wook even though he could not reciprocate back. Her sick and dying self watched as her own husband fell in love with her own cousin. Although this happened she held no grudges. She only ever wanted the best for him and told him to get a second wife. Till the very end she told Wook she loved him and even if he didn't tell her she knew where his heart lies.
3. Yeon Hwa is young but very smart and conniving. She has ambitious goals but chooses to achieve them through a devious path. This is partially due to Wook's lack of ambition and strong mindset. She herself knows that she needs to stand up in order to survive in the palace. Although she is surrounded by brothers she is able to stand her ground. Although her goals are achieved through disagreeable methods she does this in order to protect her mother and her brother. She is resolute in her actions and has mentioned that she will do whatever it takes to protect her family even if the situation is not favourable to her. As much as I dislike her her character is quite interesting.
4. Hae Soo our female heroine of the series. Thrown back in time 1000 years back from where she is she has learnt to survive. Honestly if I were thrown back in time right now, forget it I'll die in 5 minutes. Although naive and kindhearted is very resilient. She has been demoted, tortured, held at knife point and yet she survives. She is a fighter and survivor. Although she did not poison the tea she gets tortured and endures it. And even after being released in her weak and injured state she kneels in front of the King's pagoda for 2 days begging for Lady Oh to be pardoned. These events further highlight her fortitude and resilience and not only does she wish for her own survival but that of others.Just wanted to dish out my thoughts on the many strong female characters. I know I missed some characters out but these are the four that really come to mind and that have showcased enough to really allow me to back up my claims.
Honestly I'm just happy that the male to female ratio in this drama kinda balance out. It's just nice to see some strong female characters especially in a Saeguk.

@skxz I have to give the writer and the camera crew props for this scene it shows WW literally turning his back on her.. All she could ask was why.. I'm trying to figure out do she realize whats he's doing because she has always believe everything he told her and she held on to his every word.. Would this be the outcome of they breakup and she's throwing his bracelet..
Yes she was completely taken aback when he turned around because she thought he would never change. In her mind he was the only one that would not change he was "perfect" and she even thought about saying yes to his hand in marriage and moving out of the palace with him to Hwangju. But all this came crashing down when he turned his back on her because he had to think about his family. He physically showed her that he is not able to stay by her side ALL the time. That action from him showed that he had broken all promises he ever made to her. She was in the most vulnerable state and he could do nothing but walk away from her shattering ever good image she ever had of him. She can't quite grasp the situation yet because she's so flooded with all her other emotions.
From here on out I think their relationship is going to go downhill as she realises from Lady Oh's words and from her own experiences. He is not the man she saw him for and he has openly shown that to her. I completely forgot about the bracelet because I was so angry at him. But now that you mention it she wasn't wearing it when Lady Oh touched her scar in the cave scene. So all her belongings might be in her room as of when she was put in prison. I think Soo will return the bracelet to Wook during this scene.
And when Wook breaks the bracelet I believe that will signify that he has ended all feelings for her. Just my guess though.
Also what happen to the screaming scene? Or does that come later on.

Review Ep 11
WELL… Episode 11 hit me real hard.
So leaves and walks after Hae Soo but before he can even reach her the poison has done too much damage. He reaches out his hand and a shower of blood flies out of his mouth. Soo runs to him cradling him in her arms and frantically asks what is wrong. He tells her to be quiet and to run. Even in his dying state he is only thinking about her. And on a side note WTF Soo is screaming so loudly yet no one can hear her where the f*** is everyone in the palace my gosh. Also LJK better win some awards for his amazing performance cause he is just INCREDIBLE.
SpoilerThen we have pretentious Yeon Hwa who wants to make a request by making 3 drinks. I apologise for when I said in the live streaming that she drank the tea because she didn’t. Sorry for the false information! She requests for the King to approve any marriage for Wook. She has good intentions I guess just with really horrible methods. Also where is she pouring the tea? Down her sleeve? Anyways strong move Yeon Hwa strong me. Since she didn’t drink it she probably bit her tongue or the inside of her mouth to cause the bleeding. She’s got balls. Also Queen Yoo is the first to say that she drank poison. I mean yes it is one of the most possible reasons but her yelling it out first is quite suspicious why did no one pick it up SMH.
Yeon Hwa evilness is driven by great desire. We think Queen Yoo is bad and yes we feel that way cause all her plotting and scheming is shown to us but Yeon Hwa keeps whatever she does under the wraps. She is younger, meaner, smarter and more vengeful than Queen Yoo. She has a much greater drive and this is what makes her so dangerous. Queen Yoo better watch out cause I’m sure Yeon Hwa has set a target on that lady’s back.
SpoilerI’m just glad the Baek Ah’s initial instincts once he found out the tea was poisoned was to run to see So. That bromance and loyalty is just YESSSSS!! #GOALS
SpoilerWook goes to visit Soo and grabs her hand. The very first thing she asks him is if So is okay. Look does not seem happy by her asking that and is also taken aback that she is more worried about him than about herself. He immediately let’s go of her.
“You may be tortured. Soo, you must survive.”
Ummmmm….hold up a minute.WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!?!? I cannot even with what he asked of her.
“I will get you out of there.”
Wook I’m not sure if anyone has ever told you don’t make promises you can keep because if I got a dollar for every time you broke a promise I would probably be rich enough to build a time machine and go to where you are and slap you.
SpoilerThe scene between the Crown Prince and the King was yet another sad scene of the episode. The Crown Prince does not wish for Soo to be the scapegoat of what happened and requests that her life be spared and his to be thrown away. We find out why the King is so insistent on keeping Mu safe and making him the next King. The fatherly love he possesses for the Mu is very strong and Mu cannot argue against him.
SpoilerWhen So struggles over to see Hae Soo he is still very weak from the poison and Baek Ah tells him to stop as he is risking his own life. So’s response is that she is all alone. OTL! So knows exactly what it’s like to be alone and does not want the same for Soo. The OTP is just doing too many things to my heart.
Spoiler“I should not have let Hae Soo get mixed with you.” Excuse you Wook. Last time I checked she got mixed into all this drama because she was related to you. Hmmmmm….
“I will find evidence.” Yup and do nothing with it.
Scene between So and Soo I have talked about here.
Wook has finally gotten a lead of who the actual suspect for the tea poisoning incident is. But when he finds out it is his sister he is in shock and does not know what to do. If he were to expose her his whole family would become traitors and yes he is in a very difficult situation so him not taking action is fair enough. His family is obviously his weak spot and really important to him.
Yeon Hwa exposes him and his true hidden desires for the throne. She knows him better than he knows himself. I guess siblings have that weird connection and vibe about each other. He throws his hair pin into the maids back to ensure that his sister does not get framed. Man that throw was no chill he just went straight for it like an animal hunting for his prey. Much like when he threw the knife at the assassin at the end of Ep 2. Wook has a talent in throwing things and killing people. Interesting.
I am very confused as to whether I still like you at this point Wook. Wook has cut his sibling ties with Yeon Hwa and states that they are two people who are indebted to each other. His world is getting more complex by the second.
Because he could not fulfil his promise that he will get Soo out of her prison cell he is unable to face her. The pain and turmoil in his face says it all. He is full of regret and remorse that he has not been able to do anything for her, YET AGAIN.
SpoilerScenes with Lady Oh I have talked about in my character analysis and recap of her here.
Even as Soo was getting lead to her death she was thinking of Wook. "What about the 8th Prince?" Till the end she was looking for him hoping he would show up but it was So who came to save her. It was So who tried to negotiate with the King to set her free. It was all So but Soo's image of Wook was so perfect that she could not see past him.
SpoilerProtecting their children that’s what mother’s do.
Queen Hwangbo gets down on her knees and begs for Queen Yoo to spare her children. Wook and Yeon Hwa watch in disbelief as their mother who like Queen Yoo is the wife of the King stoop this low because of the “crimes” of their past.
Crimes which Queen Yoo committed herself but because of where she stands could not be convicted. Yeon Hwa is well aware of this and her hatred for Queen Yoo seems to be heightened after seeing her mother in this state. It is Wook who has finally come to realise the reality of what it’s like being the lower class in the Palace. This I believe is what ultimately begins the transition of Wook’s goals.
SpoilerOKAY HERE WE GO. I WENT FULL RAGE MODE WHEN I SAW THIS DURING THE LIFESTREAM YESTERDAY.
Wook appears in the rain and walks towards Soo who sees him and a small smile appears on her face. But he stops in his tracks and starts to back away. WTF DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!?!?!?! Okay lemme explain myself as I know not everyone will agree with me. Wook has a family which he needs to protect and yes that is completely understandable. There are more factors to deal with in his equation. If he knew he was going to do that he should NOT HAVE GONE AT ALL. He created false hope for her. He basically was like here you go oh wait sorry lemme take that away from you now. That's what did it for me. OMG blood was boiling and face was covered in tears I just couldn't forgive him again. It was the final straw.
"Why?"
The disbelief and utter defeat in Soo's eyes when she realised what was happening was so excruciating.
Remember what Lady Oh told you Soo. Remember.
But it's okay cause her dark horse came and stood by her side. He has been by her side everytime she has needed him. He has protected her and fought for her yet because she believed that he was the one to change and not Wook she distanced herself away from him. I hope that she finally realises who will change and who wouldn't. So has protected you all this time and you love him stop fighting what your heart is telling you Soo or you'll end up like Wook.
Episode 11 had me in tears like 90% of the time. It was an amazing episode and a great end to the first phase. The acting was on point and like I have mentioned previously only good actors can make me hate them. I am a huge fan of KHN and he is the sweetest cutest puppy ever but man is Wook pissing me off. HAHAHA. Also I am glad they didn't show the torture scenes cause I really can't watch stuff like that so thank you director-nim!! More importantly, WHERE THE HELL WAS EUN?!?!?!? Like did he disappear? Did the director forget about him? I miss him he's so adorable hoping to see him next week!
With all the heart wrenching moments this week I dare say I am happy to wait for the next episodes. My heart cannot handle anymore for a while cause these 2 episodes really tugged at my heartstrings. I am still beyond excited for the next week's episodes. The political showdown is going to happen and the bloody battle between brothers will take place. I hope Soo stays safe but it will be difficult as she is being sent to a place where no one can protect her. She's a strong girl and I think these chain of events will have strengthened her but Wook turning his back on her will effect her emotionally. But we all know So can fix that. Woo Hee's character will develop and I am excited to see what is in store from her. I feel like the preview is edited in such a way to make us think she killed the King but who knows... Let Baek Ah and her love story bloom PLEASE.
The adorable kiss scene and "I missed you" scene is also coming!
OKAY I'M GONNA SHUT UP NOW. Thanks again to all who read my posts it makes me really happy that fellow Eclipses and anyone out there enjoy reading what I write. I write dauntingly long posts sometimes and I apologise to mobile phone users! Hope everyone is doing well! May all Eclipses' hearts stay strong Lots of love

MY GOSH THIS SCENE!!!!!
When Soo sees that So has come to visit and he is fine she can’t help but be happy. Even after being tortured and being in the worst condition she has ever been in, the fact that he is okay and alive puts her at ease. But him seeing her like this really pains him. He can barely even look at her.
“Did you drink it because you knew I would be under suspicion for serving the tea?”
“That’s nonsense.”
“I’m not a pathetic man who drinks poison because of a girl."
OMG save my soul So denying that he did it to save her but a minute ago he told Wook thats exactly why he did it. Guess he’s trying to make it less obvious I’m so dead from how adorable they are. So quit playing man. You for sure already have her heart everyone is just in pure denial. Please you love her we all know it, your expressions are screaming it. Have mercy on my soul.
“If you act so stubborn do you think my feelings will change?”
Hate to break it to you Soo but your feelings won’t change because he has already taken your whole heart. However your feelings for Wook would beg to differ.
“If you do this, it becomes harder for me to turn away from you, Your Highness.”
“We both managed to survive and not die.”
Yes that’s right couples who survive together stay together!
Till the end she is still worried about him and telling him to take care of himself and listen to the doctor. She can’t bear to see him hurt and he can’t bear to see her in the state that she’s in. They both have a very heavy heart. He is however very determined to get her out of this mess. And Wang So does not break his promises. One of my favourite scenes!

LADY OH
Episode 6
When we first meet Lady Oh we see that she is a stern lady. I mean even the princes think she’s scary. She is the lady in charge in Damiwon Palace and all other court ladies follow her direction to keep the palace running smoothly. Like society in those days even court ladies had a hierarchy and their rankings were differentiated by their clothing and hair.
The Palace Maid:
SpoilerThe Court Lady:
SpoilerCr: twitter
The Sang Gung (highest ranking of court lady):
SpoilerI believe this title was conferred to women who had sexual relations with the King. Evidence to back this up is the tension Lady Oh has with Queen Yoo, in particular the line where she asks “Would you have preferred for me to go.” that is for her to visit and treat the King.
Lady Oh first appears when Hae Soo is told that she is to marry the King. She helps Soo get ready by cleaning her and examining her body making sure that she is suitable to marry the King, “A woman with scars on her body cannot be the King’s wife.”
She is very lacking in emotion and this is shown when Soo is all confused as to how she came to be the King’s bride, Lady Oh did not offer her any sympathy, she simply left leaving Soo to wonder with her own confused thoughts. She does not let others know how she feels and doesn’t seem to be close with anyone and we later find out why this is.
Episode 7
When Soo is helping the Crown Prince with his injuries Lady Oh stops her. She punishes Soo for her actions by making her read a lot of books on medicine. But this is because Soo should’t have found out about the Crown Prince’s illness as it could result in her getting killed. I guess everyone has many secrets and burdens in that era and knowing the wrong things or being at the wrong place at the wrong time could mean instant death. At this point I realised that Lady Oh was taking care of Soo. But why?
SpoilerEpisode 8
Soo is punished yet again. This time for interacting with Baek Ah. “A mere court lady being close to princes is what is causing all of these problems.” Lady Oh is very correct at this point. As Soo is no longer in anyway related to the princes, her constantly being around them and talking to them can stir a lot of trouble in the palace and cause a lot of nasty rumours and things to happen. Yet again Lady Oh is trying to protect her by telling her to cut her ties with the princes. She even says that Soo “Ended her relationship to the King with one cut.” If she was so capable and determined to do that why is it so hard for her to cut ties with the princes? At this point it is rather complicated for Soo.
When Lady Oh saves Soo from Lady Crazy we finally realise why. When she slaps Soo and says,“There is no end to your arrogance.” it was really her giving a Soo a wake up call but obviously in a harsh manner. Why? Why does Lady Oh target Soo more than anyone else? Why is she always getting punished? Why does she get the most attention?
“Because when I look at you I am reminded of myself. You trust people. You are good to others and you have no fear.” This is a huge flaw of Soo’s and because of her arrogance she does not realise it. She is a girl with a good heart and doesn’t see the bad in people. That is why she understands So and is not afraid of him. That is why she helped the Crown Prince even though it was not her job and of top of that could get in trouble for it. That’s why she confronted Eun when he was peeking at Chae Ryung changing. If Soo was more aware of the conditions she was in and the reality of it all she would see that she is constantly putting herself in danger out of the goodness of her heart. She’s too selfless and Lady Oh can see that and knows that because of this trait she can easily get killed.
SpoilerLike Myung Hee, Lady Oh is very much another mother figure to Soo in this difficult time. And because she can see all her flaws in Soo and knows of the consequences they can bring she wants to be able to protect her and make sure Soo can survive in such a hostile place.
Soo realises her good intentions and assures Lady Oh that she will be careful and listen to her words of advice. Lady Oh knows her place and she knows her power. She is well aware of what to do to stay out of trouble and she really wants Soo to learn this from her.
Episode 9
Lady Oh warns Soo, “Be careful of Prince Wang So.” She says to Soo if you can’t give him your whole heart you need to make that clear. Yet again she is right. Cause we know that So is rather possessive and I feel like Soo still has feelings for Wook so this is complicated and could potentially be dangerous. Lady Oh yet again relays her personal experiences with Soo and tells her of how she once gave her heart to a man hoping he would forget his ambitions and settle a normal life with her. She was wrong.“People do not change for others.” This is more or less true. I think people change others for themselves. The world is cruel. “In the end, he rose to a place where I couldn’t dare touch him.” Why does this all sound too familiar. Are their lives somehow paralleled but Soo’s scale of detrimental destruction, pain and sadness is so much larger.
This short scene is almost like an imminent warning for what is about to happen. Lady Oh is a very wise lady everything she has done and said up to this point has been nothing but true. She is an amazing role model and mother figure for Soo but having someone that Soo can look up to can also result in a lot of pain and sadness if anything were to happen.
SpoilerEpisode 10
When Lady Oh asks for Soo to leave the palace with her that was a bittersweet moment. She has viewed Soo like her own daughter ever since meeting her due to similar character and personality traits they share. Soo let’s Lady Oh know that Wook offered her hand in marriage and Lady Oh’s immediate response was think of the 4th prince. Everything she has ever said has been on point. She knows the changes that can happen to people that live in the palace walls and that it changes them.
“Do you think you can survive between the two princes?”
Her relationship with the King Taejo started like how Soo’s relationship with So/Wook started. Their relationships are parallels of each other. Everything she relays to Soo about her relationship with King Taejo is the looming fate of Soo’s relationship with So/Wook. Only difference is that Soo has two men after her.
“The 8th prince is different. He will never change.”
“No. The palace is a place that makes people turn their backs on all kinds of promises.”
It’s difficult to accept but it is true. Lady Oh knows that the scheming the fight for power the need to sit on top is on everyone’s minds. Nothing sways people more than power. The tragic end to Lady Oh’s relationship with the King should serve as a grand example to Soo but because of her naiveness and the good she sees in all the bad she does not realise that it is more complex in reality than in her head.
“At one time he wanted to marry me, but he had to protect the throne.”
Doesn’t this sound all to familiar. “To protect the throne.” Sounds like an excuse So will have to marry Yeon Hwa. Yes he is protecting Soo but we all know that Soo’s life is not about sharing her husband. OTL. I can’t deal with this drama. Like UGHHHHHH.
“I wash the bodies of the women that will become his.” That was the saddest line that came out of Lady Oh’s mouth. You can see the pain and sadness in her eyes. She now serves the one she loved if that’s not heartbreaking I don’t know what is.
When Soo rejects her offer to leave there is nothing but agony and desperation in Lady Oh’s eyes. I feel like she has one question that is circling her mind. “How much longer can I protect this girl?”
Lady Oh was smart to tell Soo not to serve tea to the princes as everything could and will go against her if anything were to go wrong. But Soo being the naive kind-hearted girl she is gives in and serves the tea because another court lady was feeling “unwell”.
Every time she had not listened to Lady Oh things have gone south. And ultimately this episode highlights everything going wrong for Soo.
SpoilerEpisode 11
The attempted poisoning of the Crown Prince is a deed that will result in a painful and torturous death. Lady Crazy is one no good woman and although I want to curse at her repeatedly I am going to take repeated deep breaths so I refrain from doing so. Soo is obviously framed for this and being Soo she will no doubt try and find justice in all of this. However knowing Lady Oh’s love for Soo she steps in.
“Someday you will regret how cowardly were today. The one time you turn your back on her will haunt your conscience forever." - to Wook
I JUST WANNA SAY THANK YOU FOR TELLING WOOK THAT HE IS USELESS AND DIDN'T SAVE ANYONE. If anyone was to tell it to him straight it would be Lady Oh. I hope he realises his incompetence and lack of resolution. The shock due to the utter truth she speaks really hits him.
SpoilerWhen she serves tea to the King for the last time she "confesses" her plot to kill the Crown Prince. When the King refuses to take in anything she says we hear about her past. It was Queen Yoo who has poisoned her tea and caused her miscarriage and the blame had been put onto Queen Hwangbo. MY LORD HOW CAN QUEEN YOO NEVER GET CUAGHT FOR ANYTHING SHE DOES WTF?!!?! "I cannot lose a girl who is like my own daughter." We finally hear from Lady Oh herself that she views Soo like her own daughter and thus wishes to protect her. She asks the King is he is going to turn a blind eye yet again. She tells him that she does not have much longer to live due to her illness and that this will not only help him and his Kingdom but it will save the life of Soo and put her out of her misery. She states that "this is her final request." This for me was one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have seen so far.
When Soo finds out she has been pardoned as the "real" culprit has been found she is stunned. But when she realises it is Lady Oh she is in complete utter disbelief. She drags Lady Oh through the passage which leads to the bath areas and says she wants to leave with her. It's already too late. Not leaving with Lady Oh when she initially requested will haunt Soo for the rest of her life. But Lady Oh tells her that it is not her fault and that she is not doing this for her but for the King.
"I also protected what I wanted to protect. Now I need to pay for it."
This scene had me balling my eyes out. As soon as Soo has someone who takes her under their wing and they become close they are taken away from her. It was such a cruel cruel sight to see.
SpoilerIt pained my heart to the very core to see Soo in this state. She was begging for Lady Oh’s life. She knelt for 2 days in hopes that the King will change his mind but it was to no avail.
SpoilerThe final scene between Lady Oh and Queen Yoo was great. Although Lady Oh has suffered terribly because of this particular psychotic b**** in the end she is able to hold her own and let Queen Yoo know that she has not lost. Lady Oh knows that death does no mean losing. "You have never beaten me. Not once."
"Please live a long healthy life, Your Majesty. How lonely that life will be, I will be watching even in my afterlife." That small smirk she gave to me showed that she knew she had won.
"It's enough for me if one person remembers me." Unlike Queen Yoo who seems to think it's a popularity contest Lady Oh knows that for a fact someone will remember her. To me this shows that Lady Oh's words did affect her as she had to back up why she wouldn't be lonely. This shows that she is very self-conscience of the fact that what Lady Oh has said may very well be true.
Lady Oh knows that even thought the King married all these other women and had children with them she was ultimately the only woman in his heart. To me this is highlighted when he grants her her final request and although it is a sad ending to their love story it ultimately emphasises that he loved her till the very end. THAT'S RIGHT QUEEN B**** YOU GOT NOTHING. PLEASE BE GONE SOON!
Lady Oh's death for me was very well done. I mean of course I didn't want her to die but the way she exited was an amazing wrap to her character. To me she was definitely the wisest person in the palace and she was smart about the moves she made. She definitely taught our heroine some of the fundamental things about the palace before her departure and for that I am very grateful. I sincerely hope her words resonate with Soo and that Soo will take her advice and live life in the palace carefully. Now that she is no longer around there is one less person that is looking out for her.
Thank you Lady Oh for being so amazing. Definitely one of my favourite characters in this show and it was definitely short-lived. May you rest in peace.

Yes Wook wants to protect his family. After seeing his mum begging Queen Yoo to not hurt her children he realises that he needs to step up his game and take the throne. Throughout the series so far I think it is very evident his weak spot is his family. Every time he hesitates is because his family is involved.
The flaw with Wook is that he is so constantly questioning his own actions and unsure of what move to make resulting in the deteriorating state of the situation. Unlike So he is not as ambitious until it is too late. Yes So does not havens be anything to lose. He will do whatever it takes to get whatever he wants. Wook on the other hand has too many weaknesses and factors which can sway him. When he found out it was his sister who was involved with the tea poisoning he could not bring himself to tell anyone. Like Lady Oh said, in the end he didn't end up protecting anyone. If he had his sister's ambitious drive it would be a far different situation but he is far from capable because he holds too much burden in his mind.
I am however still angry at him. Yes he has burdens and yes he has his own issues to deal with but him coming out to see Soo in the state she was in and turning away from her right in front of her eyes really destroyed all the love I had for his character. His actions have now damaged Soo's emotions as she believed so deeply that he would no change regardless of any events that unfolded. She realises she is wrong and the person who warned her of this is dead. She has to live on knowing this and for someone like Soo who is so kind-hearted and loving towards everyone it will have detrimental effects on her. If you hadn't appaeared her thought process of why he wasn't there ould have been different.
What completely ticked me off was what he said in the trailer. He degraded her calling her a laundry maid and questioning So how he could marry someone of that status. It's fine he's turning his back on her because she has someone who actually really loves her. But it is not okay to look down on her. A lot of what has happened is balantantly his fault for not being able to take action. This is the girl he once loved and wanted to marry how can he say that about her!? What has she ever done to you!?!
I just had to get that out. Cause it was really pissing me off. I do give him credit for finally realising what he has to do but his method of action I'm just full blown SMH. Yes I do not hold anymore love for Wook but I am interested to see his character turn dark. Will this mean he will finally take action before it's too late? Review will come tomorrow Lots of love Eclipses!!!

Can we please have a minute silence for Lady Oh. Soo faints.
Next week the fight is on. Wook and So have their sword clash. So has his mask back on and it's the very initial mask we saw him with. The cute kiss scene is on it's way too. My heart needs some rest.
I just wanna finish off by saying I want Yo, Queen Yoo, Yeon Hwa and Won dead. Wook needs someone to slap some sense into his stupid skull. ARGHHHHHHH

Lady Oh is serving tea to the King. This is probably where she negotiates with him for her to take Soo's place. If this is the end for Lady Oh it is a tragic end to her love story with the King.

Wook realises Soo is leaving the Palace and calls out her name. This echoes and Soo turns around with tear-glazed eyes. I guess it's really over... she didn't even say her goodbyes to him.
