WANDERING THOUGHTS
So there has been a lot of talk about whether this drama is doing well based on many factors (such as views, ratings, international attention, cast, storyline etc.). I absolutely agree that everyone is entitled to their thoughts and opinions but there are just a few things I feel the need to get this off my chest.
To me this drama is amazing for many reasons, that is why I am so active on this forum and continuously trying to find out more about the drama. Sometimes what I don’t understand especially on the internet, is why people seem to love defaming and hating on something. Why do people like stirring and creating such negative energy? Is it really necessary? If I don’t like something I stop watching, looking, reading it and move on. Isn’t that the most logical thing to do?
I was really saddened in the beginning where there was all this talk that the drama was going to flop because of IU’s acting and how it was KHN and LJK that was carrying this drama. Yes KHN and LJK are amazing actors there is no doubt about that but the rest of the cast puts in their own colour and skills just as equally. Sure some actors are better than others I mean there are designers, musicians, directors etc that are better than other designers, musicians, directors etc. and there’s nothing wrong with that. That just shows there’s room for improvement which is what individuals strive to achieve.
From the get go I thought the acting was fairly good. I do admit in the beginning it was slightly shaky but everything was smooth sailing from Ep 3 onwards. People who say IU can’t act I’m unsure of what their definition of acting is? I mean negative reviews are most certainly welcome and that’s how directors themselves improve but straight up hate because it’s not your cup of tea is just, I can’t fathom why people love to do that. And the funniest thing when I thought about this was MLSHR got so much hate after the first 2 episodes were released. Like seriously? You didn’t even give it a chance how do you know it’s bad? I don’t understand.
I feel like one of the reasons people are trying so hard to say how bad the drama is is because of how good-looking the whole cast is. On top of that the cinematography, costumes, and plot overall (to me) are amazing. I mean people hate it when things are perfect and they can’t help nitpick at the smallest and most irrelevant things.
Which brings me to the next thing I wish to address, ratings. I am glad the ratings for this drama are increasing but I don’t feel like it something we need to refer to constantly as it does not give an accurate representation of anything. Firstly the ratings are only in South Korea which means it does not encompass the views accumulated by the rest of the globe. Sure ratings show the popularity of a show but if it doesn’t take into consideration the views from everywhere then isn’t it a little inaccurate. I’m not saying this to defend the ratings of MLSHR I’m saying this because it makes sense. This is like saying okay we are going to do a federal election but we are only going to let people from one town vote. Not sure how that’s an accurate representation of what everyone wants if it’s only the results of a small group of individuals. Secondly we Eclipses know how well this show is doing both domestically and internationally. But of course it has just exploded beyond South Korea. There are positive comments that I have seen translated from Korean websites which is also amazing.
I don’t tend to speak up about these things because it’s the internet and I mean sitting behind a screen you can say anything you want without facing and consequences. Since everyone is entitled to their own opinions people will always have opposing views and varying expectations on different things and that is absolutely fine. Constructive criticism is always welcome but snide and rude comments to drag something down and make it feel like crap I don’t believe in nor do I approve. It may make us angry but in the end we are just wasting our energy on something that is basically irrelevant to us. I mean if haters take their time to watch the drama and hate on it they’re wasting their time too right?
But I really felt the need to say this to my fellow Eclipses so you guys don’t get worked up by negative comments. I know what it's like when you love something so much and people just come and shoot you down. It's not a pleasant feeling but we learn to ignore and move on. We should all just enjoy this drama because we love it and it matters to us. We don’t need to defend that it’s good to people that what to talk badly about it because we know in our hearts it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to us.
I hope Eclipses can continue to spread happiness, love and excitement and not get brought down by all the negative things said. I hope I haven’t offended anyone because that wasn’t my intention. I just want everyone to be in a good mood and enjoy this drama (while it lasts). Man that’s so sad to say but it’s so true. We don’t have time for the negativity. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and are anticipating Monday because I sure am! 3 DAYS TO GO! I AM SO EXCITED!!!! Thanks for reading as always! This one is quite long (like everything I ever post hahahaha). I really appreciate it and it makes me just want to write more and share more with you guys LOTS OF LOVE xoxo

I would like to comment about Hae Soo and Wang So's relationship. Striking was that Hae Soo started getting close to him, despite his bad reputation, his scar, his mask and his violent and rude behaviour.
While people avoided him like pest and never dared to look into his eyes, Hae Soo did the exact opposite. In the episode 1, Hae Soo looked at him and she was like paralysed. She had already caught his eyes therefore he decided to rescue her, when she was about to fall. She was falling because someone had pushed her while the man was running away from Wang So. She on the other hand was just standing there.
Then when he was covered in blood and screaming, destroying these stone piles, she could have run away, like others would have done or like his mother ordered him to leave her alone because he was stinking. Nonetheless Hae Soo ran to him and stopped. She did the opposite of Queen Yoo. First, she even asked if he was injured, while Yoo had told him that she would never ask for this. As conclusion, while Wang Soo looked like an animal, had his face covered with his mask and people avoided him, Hae Soo consoled him, gave him advices, kept him company aso. She saw the good person behind the mask and his "rude" behaviour.
Then in the episode 9, his mask is gone, his scar is gone... people starts being enthousiastic and welcoming him. He is treated like a normal person, not like someone who should be avoided and bring bad luck. He is even welcome by his father, his mother invites him over for dinner (with other intentions). He is now good-looking and his reputation has changed. He brought rain so that people consider it as a sign from the gods. He is treated differently now. But now, we witness a reversal of situation. While people have come to accept him due to his appearances and behaviour, Hae Soo is now doing the opposite again. She is afraid of him. She is now seeing the bad person in him.
Striking is that Hae Soo has not changed. I know, some people said that she had changed and were disappointed. Yet, I don't think, there is some inconstency here. Hae Soo is acting like before. She keeps seeing things beyond the appearances everytime. While people attach too much importance to the exterior, especially in Wang So's case, she sees the personality. In my opinion, she sees the real him now, the one who not only threatens to kill people but who does it without feeling remorse. Sure, he is not the king who ruled with a fist of iron yet, however he did kill all these men at the temple without feeling guilty. He did it for his mother... yet this showed how determined he can be and he has no problem to decide who lives or not. Hae Soo knows nothing about the killing of so many people... she only knows that he killed to survive. Yet she was wrong here. He killed because he wanted to be loved and recognised by his mother. He never did it in self-defense. The bottom of the line is that Hae Soo is finally able to see the real Wang So: the ruthless man he is. Sure, she had experienced his violence, but she recognised at some point, he would only threaten her so that she came to think, he only threatens people but he never does it.
All this explains why Wang So would be so hurt by her words, as she was the one who told him that he was a good person, although he would threaten to kill people all the time. Now, from my point of view, she has finally discerned the real personality of Wang So:
- the one who wants to be loved, the one who is kind, generous and warm-hearted
- the one who can kill without remorse, can be really violent
So far, noone except Hae Soo has ever understood Wang So's true character. They called him an animal because of his appareance and his rude behaviour, without knowing how really dangerous he can be.
That was an amazing summary of the relationship between Soo and So!! I absolutely agree with you that she beyond what's on the surface when it comes to So. He's almost like an open book to her. The funny thing as well which you pointed out is that Hae Soo seems to always see the "opposite" of what other's see. She really knows what's up. Whilst everyone else around him barely scratches the surface of who he really is. And the turn of events with the vision and everything (like I've said before) will only strengthen their relationship.

When you realise you can barely handle what has happened but the real drama hasn't even begun.
I was just re-watching the beginning episodes and realised how light-hearted and sweet everything was. There were so many cute and memorable scenes between the lead 3 characters ahhhhh how I miss those days.
This show definitely has me on edge with the never-ending twist and turns and the constant development of relationships between characters is rather intense. Just a couple of screenshots of next weeks preview and stuff from further in the future that I've picked up and am (not) looking forward to. I have backread a lot of the posts sorry if these have already been mentioned cause I know I have seen some but it's so hard to find who said what where cause this forum is moving hella fast.
Ep 10 Preview
I guess Wook will finally join the battle for the throne as in Ep 9 he realised that in his current state he cannot protect Hae Soo. He has great drive and ambition to protect her but will this also cause him to change?
His sister is no different. Yeon Hwa is also carrying out a plan of her own. She will no longer stand idly by cause she knows that she won't get her way if she does. Teaming up with Lady Crazy? It's evident that even though she hates Lady Yoo she will throw that all aside in order to get what she wants. She has stated this before and she isn't going back on her word. Yeon Hwa you're a smart girl I just hope you know when to stop before it's too late. Evil and evil teaming up usually ends up with one being backstabbed. "I will be like a God above the King." That is definitely ambitious.
Looks like the spoiler we got was pretty accurate. Thank you to whoever shared that spoiler! (Sorry I couldn't find the post and tag you) Well it looks like Lady Yoo is still doesn't know when to stop. But clearly So will not give her what she wants (guess it's karma for her never giving him what he wanted). The evil in this women is undeniably preposterous. I think I've mentioned this multiple times but when her downfall comes it better be satisfying.
SpoilerHer eyes are no longer filled with fear but worry. This scene will have me shocked and in tears. I am not prepared for such a traumatic event. Yet again he is protecting her and I think this will deepen her love for him.
Future
These screenshots are from the 6 minute trailer I have re-watched way too many times but it's what keeps me excited and theorising although I am wrong 90% of the time hahaha.
1. Baek Ah and Woo Hee's relationship is definitely one of top things I am anticipating. How they go from bickering strangers that don't trust each other to two love birds is getting me hyped. I loved the scene they shared in Ep 9. It had a good mix of humour and seriousness they complement each other so well. Both so adorably witty. I'm also looking forward to kicka** Woo Hee.
SpoilerNext is Yo. What is going on in this image. Is he dying? All I have to say is that it's not looking good for him.
SpoilerFinally the pain in these two babies eyes have me worried. They both have blood on them so it leads me to think death maybe not their death but someone close to them. Please keep these 2 safe they're so precious.
SpoilerOkay I just had to get this off my chest. The anticipation for Monday is so real and the posts in this forum keep me sane and make me go insane. It's the best of both world haha. Thanks for being amazing guys! Happy and positive vibes to all (even though the drama may not be the same)!!

Fear. It’s the human condition that can destroy us.
Confusion. Is what can heighten our fear.
The irony of Soo's situations is that it’s not really the fear of the unknown.
Soo’s visions of So as Gwangjong have evidently buried her in fear and confusion. We as an audience may not understand why this is the case but empathy is very important in this situation. Put yourself into her shoes. She has been transported 1000 years back, to a time where she has a vague idea of the series of events which are to occur. Is knowing better than not knowing? She doesn’t have all the knowledge of the time and thus it is already difficult for her.
Having dark, grim visions does not help her situation. As she has started to accustom her life in such a different time period and make good friends with the people there something unthinkable and terrifying is thrown at her. Does she not have the right to be scared? She’s always thought the best of So never judging him for his actions without knowing but now she’s being shown what he could become. The irony is that she can’t ignore it and this isn’t very Soo like. Thus her fear and confusion have caused her to not be herself.
I think the fear and confusion she displays is very appropriate in her situation. She has already started developing feelings for him and her fear is that can she really be with this person if he changes? I know we all wish for her to sail off with So and live happily ever after but it is events like this that will strengthen her relationship with So. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?
Also with when she questioned if it was Wook she never saw him his face in any visions which she saw So in. Thus she completely disregarded him as a "suspect". Which I think is completely reasonable and I think it was also a relief for her since she likes and looks up to him so much.
When I saw the bloody images flash across the screen my heart skipped a beat. If it were to happen to me in real life I think I'd fear for my life.
SpoilerLoss. It’s what we fear the most.
So’s fear of losing Soo is highlighted very well in the final scene of Ep 9. We view So as a character who has been dragged through the darkest depths of hell and because of this he can withstand anything and everything. But to me his biggest fear is loss, in particular losing Soo. I always saw him as a determined yet damaged character but not one that is obsessive. Soo’s understanding of him is where he starts to become posessive but this is driven further due to her fear of him. Her distancing herself from him and openly telling him to stay away from her has really shook him. He cannot believe that the only person who has really ever understood him has become like everyone else.
Loss is So's biggest fear. Gaining something you've always and having that taken away from you is emotionally and psyhcologically damaging and this is demonstrated by So forcing himself onto her shows that he cannot accept that she thinks all the negatives of him and he won't. I wonder how her distancing herself from him will allow his character to grow. It could most probably drive them closer together. Will his demeanour change when he realises that So and Wook have been close all this time? And more importantly that he has professed his love for her before So.
Fear and loss were definitely two words which resonated in my mind when I watched Ep 9. I decided to write a post about it due to a lot of talk about how people didn’t understand why she was so scared of So. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions and I am here to deliver mine

I do agree with you, once you found something precious you rarely let it go. Then again, same thing for Wook, could he possibly let HS go ? Without a fight ?
Don't be sorry for your babbling, loved all your rantings and all. This community is daebak !!!! Let's pray for Monday to come fast
No worries! I remember when I first came to this community oh how it's grown sorry I did edit my post and added some bits I forgot.
Yes and precious things and opportunities don't come often so when it comes to what So can do for Soo to protect her he will do it.
Yea that's what I'm most worried about. Wook has always been the type to "do the right thing". When Lady Hae was still alive and he caught feelings for Soo he tried to hard to deny it. He doesn't want to do anything wrong and usually he suppresses his emotions. This will eventually destroy him. Even now he wants to help Soo but he doesn't know how. He just lost a golden opportunity to free her from the palace but that became redundant cause of Eun's marriage.
Wook will definitely not go down without a fight but I think the fight for Soo and the throne will turn his "perfect" character dark. I mean some of his expressions have gotten quite dark in the recent Eps. I feel like he will realise that he needs to fight for what he loves and cares for. He doesn't have such a strong drive in comparison to So. I personally hate seeing him and So fight or at odds. How lovely it would be to see them happy together. Life isn't always fair aye.
This fight will break me. They both have killing intent in their eyes. It's so intense.

40 minutes ago, taehumama said:Hello Everyone !
Nice to meet you all, I'm kinda newbie here so please treat me well.
Just wanted to reflect on this moment...
King Taejo (to Wang So) : You relieved us from the drought and I want to reward you. Is there anything you want ?
I thought of giving you Songak land to build a home and some farmland.
Wang So : Thank you, Your Majesty, but there is something I want more than land.
King Taejo : Alright, tell me...
Wang So (looking to Hae Soo) : Please give me Damiwon's court lady Hae Soo
What do you think ? Is she the most important thing for him right now ? Did he stake his claim (for everyone to know) at that precise moment ?
WELCOME WELCOME !!
I think yes Soo is the most important to So right now. She always surprises him with questions and responses. "Why did you kill them?" when he said he killed people (Ep 3), when she stares directly at him in Ep 7 with unwavering eyes, "I'm the only one who determines how I live." in the boat scene (Ep 8). These things catch him off guard and when you watch his expression you can see the shock and confusion. She understands him best and he realises that.
Her helping him remove his mask and cover his scar is definitely the turning point of his fate as well as his view of her. He literally told her he is his and I'm guessing he wants it to work both ways. She helped him grow and realise that people don't give care and show respect based on looks. They do so for the person you are. All this "good fortune" that has been shone upon him is all thanks to Hae Soo. The downside of this revelation is that Hae Soo has gotten nasty visions of him when he does become Gwangjong and she is terrified of what she thinks he will become. The care and kindness she had for him has been overshadowed by all the grim visions she has been experiencing.
I think when he announced that he wanted Hae Soo to be his it was just all good timing that everyone was there to hear it. And I think that happened for a reason because the camera did pan to Wook, Baek Ah and Eun's faces revealing their reactions. He is becoming quite obsessive and possessive and this is heightened when she tries to push him away. Like I mentioned in my Ep 9 review him forcing himself onto her shows that he won't let her go and that he is basically marking her as his. I mean he even verbally says it. But the fear she has for him is quite extreme as she is not only worried that he will turn into a monster but that all those around her that she cares about may die.
I'm just really curious as to how she will react after the kiss is over. Will she fear him more? What will it be like when Wook finds out since he already professed his love for her. The complexity of their relationship makes this show that much more interesting and we are slowly beginning to see the layers of both So and Wook which are very different from what we initially witnessed. MONDAY PLS COME ALREADY!
I am so sorry for babbling on hahaha. I just love this drama so much Hope you enjoy this community! Welcome again!!

REVIEW EP 9
My stream last night was about as horrible as Queen Yoo so I had to re-watch and analyse the whole thing today. Here goes!
The rain ritual comes to an end with Hae Soo looking like she’s seen the devil.
We cut to Yo who is furious that he lost the chance to the seat. But then his mother slaps him and he is beyond stunned by her actions. “If I am to rise up as a king’s mother, you must be persistent and ruthless.” This woman is so selfish how can she be anyone’s mother. Yo realising that all he is doing is to benefit his mother and to help her up the pyramid. When will Yo learn? My guess is NEVER. “I am to raise you up, Mother?” He is hurt by her actions but continues to stand by her side.
Finally So receives the recognition he has wanted from his father. I am so happy for him. LJK is (I’ve said this a million times but I feel like it ain’t enough) absolutely amazing with his expressions. The layer of tears in his eyes really shows how happy and shocked he is that he has been recognised and praised by his father. His father sees him as a force of greatness. When he said “Father.” I was like YESSSSSSS.
SpoilerJimong is really creeping me out. He’s describing the future but he doesn’t seem to know it. Maybe he’s lost his memories from when he was in the future. But the way he says it with that smile on his face. CREEPY. He has visions of the future and Hae Soo is having visions of the past?
“Leave things to play out the way they are meant to be.” That is some very good advice Ji Mong. Soo needs to get the idea that she can change history out of her head. It will only make her and those around her suffer.
SpoilerIt was nice to see So all happy and cheery that things were finally going right for once. But what made that scene difficult to enjoy was that although So was happy and smiling Soo was standing beside him beyond terrified. When he said that he was starting to like himself and accept himself my heart skipped a beat. It was all thanks to Hae Soo but was it a bad thing? It gave a rather unsettling feeling. Seeing So smile though was a gift from the Gods. Thank you!
Spoiler“I’d rather die”
Eun doesn't want to get married but is forced into it anyway. As he thanks the King for his benevolence a bag of marbles falls out of his sleeve. To me this represents the childishness of Eun and that he is far from ready to be married. The ancient times sure are cruel.
SpoilerMy god Won has no chill.
Soon Duk is so adorable and she’s such a strong female character. But her being paired with Eun idk, I need to keep watching them to feel like they’re a good pairing. She’s so aggro and he’s such a baby but the two of them as so cute hehehe. “Sister-in-law can beat any man.” Good one Jung way to make your hung feel better.
OMG yessss Beak Ah and Woo Hee is happening. I loved their little bickering and they complement each other so well. Waiting for the ship to start sailing And she dropped a very ornate pendant which Baek Ah picked up less. Till they meet again.
SpoilerThe Soo Wook scene had my heart melting/shattering idk I was so confused. Soo gifts him a pillow to help him sleep better at night but Soo I don’t think that’s gonna happen cause a court lady will not be released as Eun is getting married. Wook looks very troubled by this and doesn’t know when an opportunity like this will arise again.
He gifts her a book and when she initially sees it she’s like oh no not another book. “I will study hard.” But then to her surprise it is the most adorable flip book of when she was following him in the snow. Soo also has he own worries but doesn’t express them because she doesn’t want Wook to worry anymore than he already is. She just asks for him to wait. Why do I feel that this won’t end well. WHY?!
BUT THEN HE TELLS HER HE LOVES HER OMG FINALLY! AND THEY HUG. WOOK WHY YOU GOTTA ALWAYS SWAY ME.
SpoilerNow to the scene where Soo talks to Eun before he gets married. She firmly tells Eun that she can’t live in a polygamous relationship. “I can’t share my husband with several woman.” I wonder if/how this will change with So. Cause if he does end up marrying Yeon Hwa first then that goes against your values and morals Soo so what makes you change your mind? Is it you wanting to change history? Will things go bad? I’m very curious.
Awwwwww Eun! Don’t cry! He calls her a liar and that even he had asked her to be his first wife she would’ve said no. Soo is beyond shocked. I hate to say this but where is the lie. Eun was spot on. But Eun you guys can be friends don’t be sad!! Sun talking about how he is lesser than his brothers in intelligence and just all round further emphasises that he is still young and growing. He is aware of it though their is nothing he can do because life in the palace means your life is dictated and you live your life following orders of those above you. Eun thinks Soo doesn’t like him because his stupid but I feel like if you’re aware that your stupid that makes you rather smart. Soo assures him that she was happiest with him. That’s so sweet. Unrequited love really does hurt the most. But I am really glad that Eun got that off his chest, I feel like this will strengthen his relationship with Soo.
The marriage scene is so cute. Soon Duk is so straight up hahaha. I love her warrior fighting spirit.
SpoilerBut the cheerful scene was soon ruined by the grim visions which Hae Soo is having. My heart stopped for a good second when these images flashed across my screen. They are literally bloody visions.
SpoilerThe scene with the King talking to So and Yo shows a massive turn of events for the both of them. Yo is being sent on a dangerous mission whilst So has been grated charge of Yo’s tasks. Oh how the tides have turned. Yo are you feeling the karma?
When Yo finishes talking to Ji Mong we see his intense gaze on the throne. He seems more determined than ever now that nothing is going his way. Well like his mother he doesn’t know when to quit.
SpoilerQueen Yoo you’re next level crazy. “Let’s forget the past.” Are you serious woman?!?! You who cause a permanent reminder on So’s face now wants him to forget the past? Last time I checked you were constantly reminding him of how worthless and shameful he was. Treating him nicely just so you get what you want. Who are you seriously? You are pure evil. And having poor Jung a completely innocent soul sit in on this. I just can’t with this scene they are so underhandedly and manipulative. UGHHHH someone just punish them. Save my from destroying my computer screen.
OMG the conversation after the dinner. All theses angles being played FUARRRRRRR. So you are next level. Just when your mother thought she could manipulate you and make you hate the people that are now looking after you. I love it!
“Do not call me in here again.”- So taking a stance against his mother's manipulative ways.
And Jung’s outburst! Yes you go Jung! Tell that Lady! How does it feel to be rejected and disliked by someone you love Queen Yoo? Not pleasant is it?
SpoilerAs expected So still had the slightest bit of hope that he would finally be accepted but it was once again torn from him. Just as the gash was healing someone has dug at it and cause it to bleed again. He has repeatedly given his mother chances and each time she has done nothing but verbally and emotionally harm him.
The FINAL SCENE
What pained me the most was seeing how frightened Soo was of So. She who helped breakdown his walls and accept himself for who he is is not telling him that he will ruing everything and he needs to go far away. So was beyond hurt. To me the scene was out of frustration and his mark on her that she belongs to him. She had attacked him like everyone else had saying the same hurtful things. She went back on her word and he was in disbelief. He couldn't handle what he had heard and became super possessive.
"Don't push me away. Don't tell me to leave."
"You are my person. You belong to me. You are mine! Without my permission you cannot leave me. You cannot die either."
Not gonna lie the double kiss scene was AMAZING! I loved it! and even tho it was forced it was acted out well and the camera angles were great. I was honestly just disappointed by the fact that it was the cliffhanger. I mean like C'MON seriously?!!?!? How can you put what was in the teaser as the cliffhanger. Cruel beyond words man. We are getting played.
So now to talk about Soo’s visions I don’t think they are reality. I think they are a warning to her that she needs to stop trying to change what is inevitable. Because if she does her visions are a premonition of what will take place.
But honestly I can't think straight anymore. SOOOOOO much happened in that episode and everything had me worried. Like NOTHING was going right except for the fact that So has been recognised. Everything else just goes from bad to worse. Why can't Monday just be here. This is probably one of the longest posts I have ever written. There was just a lot to talk about and a lot to vent out. Thanks as always for getting to the end! Lots of love!!

What pained me the most was seeing how frightened Soo was by So. She who helped break down his walls and accept himself for who he is is now telling him that she is scared of him and he will ruin everything. I'm surprised So didn't go full rage mode but you could tell he was beyond hurt.
Yes it's good to incorporate visions into the series as Soo is from the future and she knows the history but man they need to tone it down. For a second I was like am I watching MLSHR or let's find the devil. They did an amazing job with the visions but it was slightly excessive. Calm down with that creative license man. Every time we have a good moment some bloody murder scene would come along. Let my heart enjoy the beautiful moment without having the s*** scared out of it.
6 days is too far. JUST TOOOOOO BLOODY FAR. WHEN YOUR CLIFFHANGER IS WHAT WAS IN THE TEASER. The directors and producers really know how to play us. May all Eclipses hearts stay strong and our patience grow stronger!

The family is eating dinner. When his mother served him food he choked. And she told him to eat a lot. Did this lady take the wrong medication or something. I am still very skeptical of this dinner. Something is not right. The visuals are stunning tho.
Whatever she requested must have been Queen Yoo crazy cause even Jung was like WTF.
EDIT: I believe Lady crazy asked So to carry out murder. Not 100% tho.

I think Soo just rejected Eun's feelings for her. Eun is drinking his sorrows away because he doesn't want to get married to Soon Duk. Poor baby. But I think Soo is talking sense into him. She's always giving advice.

Wook and Soo exchange gifts. He gives her a flip book and it shows the events of when she was following him in the snow. It's the cutest thing ever cause she though it was another book for her to read. He says he loves her and they hug. I AM DEAD.

It's the scene where it's raining and So hugs Soo. She's so terrified that she pushed him away. They're still so adorable though!

So's make up was not waterproof the scar is reappearing. Rain ritual just ended and So is getting carried back to the palace I believe. Soo is still trying to wrap her head around whether So is the next Gwangjong. She looks terrified and very out of it.

I'm sure she's up to no good. I think the Evil Queen is trying to turn WS into her person so that she can use him to her own advantage. She must have realised that WS had caught the King's attention and his popularity had improved since the rain ritual, hence it's understandable if she suddenly wants to treat him in a different way now. She will continue to be nice to him as long as she can earn some benefits from it. That woman changes her attitude at lightning speed. I really hope that WS is wise enough not to fall for her tricks.
Yes I agree with you. And honestly since So has only ever wanted her love and now she's giving it to him (for her own benefit and plan) I feel like it's very hard for him to not fall for it. The revelation that she is actually treating him with love and like her own child will make him so happy cause that's what he's been seeking from her his whole life. I mean he's even killed people and kept her plan to assassinate the Crown Prince under the wraps. It's so hard to watch her puppeteer people around like that I really just want someone to put her in her place UGHHHH this evil lady.

I think you're pretty much spot on with that assumption. When I saw that scene in the Chinese version I felt so sickened, it was a horrible sight to behold. I guess the MLSHR isn't toning down the gruesome at all. Furthermore we've already gotten a hint of Chae Ryung and Won's relationship. This is during the scene where Chae Ryung gets whipped for "stealing" something from So's room. When Yo says that servants (or in this case I'm pretty sure he meant Chae Ryung) should be taught a lesson Won comes in and says "I think that servant has been beaten enough." Idk if many have noticed but whatever Yo does Won usually just follows along so in this scenario when he did the opposite it was a sign of their relationship. Furthermore when Chae Ryung was leaving with Soo after Won and Chae Ryung look at each other I think that's the biggest hint.
I'm so sad for what is to happen though As much as I hope you're wrong...
My gosh Eclipses have a sharp eye! Thanks for sharing!!!
