  5. I thought the first two episodes were a bit shaky, however the 3rd hit all the right notes for me, solidifying my interest in the drama. No matter how much I enjoy the privilege of seeing KJW as the lead in a rom-com for the first time, I can’t commit to a horribly shallow tv show till the end just for his sake. Some of my observations: PMY’s whole “I’m your lady” sequence (including the spazzing afterwards at the cafe) was hi-lar-ious. I applaud her for showcasing all the emotions a fan feels at the chance to meet her favourite artist. She was looking at the elevator screen as if her life depended on it haha! I thought her forgiving the egg throwers was in character (her receiving the gifted umbrella meant for someone else and beating up Eun Gi defending the girl’s feelings ties in with this), though I don’t agree with her decision. They were firing with spring pistols I believe, and those things can make you lose an eye if not careful. This is no joke. I hope she learns that her safety is more important in this particular instance. KJW’s portrayal of prickly Ryan is not overly cold and tyrannical. He definitely comes off as a sensible guy beneath the surface, and has difficulty showing affection due to his past trauma. The way he stood up for DM against the previous director was one of his shining points for me. In all their interactions he wasn’t macho, there was no manly possessiveness shown towards DM -something I hate in K-dramas. He’s liberal-minded about LGBT issues, saves DM from her work friends’ pestering with the good intention of helping out a closeted person keep their privacy. He knows how to apologise and doesn’t beat around the bush in an endeavour to maintain his ego. Umm excuse me, but the guy is awesome. I hope the signs of SA’s being Ryan’s brother are false and no more than a red herring to fool us. Come on, don’t turn this into a melodrama. Whoever styles KJW is doing a fab job, well done! I’d like to see a bit more of the bff’s family dynamics crashing with her idol obsession. I have a suspicion the husband will riot in the coming episodes. What’s with the barista constantly dropping cups?

  7. On April 19, OCN stated, “Lee Dong Wook has received an offer to star in ‘Strangers from Hell’ (working title).” An exclusive report made by Sports Chosun stated that the actor would appear in the drama as the character from Room 203, a man who is good at psychological warfare by approaching strangers in a friendly way and digging up their information, but ultimately hides his inner thoughts. However, as the drama is in its planning stages, it was reported that the character Lee Dong Wook might appear as in the drama has not yet been materialized. https://www.soompi.com/article/1318746wpp/lee-dong-wook-offered-role-in-im-siwans-upcoming-comeback-drama I don't think he'd be able to resist the character and if ever it would be his first time to play a villain role

  11. As I read some comments saying bad things about the script writer Choi Yoon-Kyo (최윤교) of 'One and Only Love' that this is just her second work and the first one (Lucky Romance) is not good. Reading that makes me curious because personally and scientifically I don't think we can judge a person from only a single research specimen. Therefore, I want to know more about her past works so that I can assess the quality level of the script of 'One and Only love' I tried to trace back and found that in 2013 as amateur writer, she won the grand prize from a '1st Purple Romance Contest Competition' awards sponsored by Kyobo book from her writing story 'Single Ville' (싱글빌). Her award-winning work was published to a book later. http://www.readersnews.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=40867 http://news.bookdb.co.kr/bdb/Interview.do?_method=InterviewDetail&sc.mreviewNo=52081 From the interview article, she said that she graduated and worked as a drama assistant artist. Before her first novel, she wrote a part of original script for MBC's 'Triangle (트라이앵글)' drama (before it was made in 2014). In 2015, this first book of her was made into a Chinese drama called 'Singles Villa' https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Singles_Villa In 2016, she wrote her 2nd book, 'Festival Lady' (페스티벌 레이디) , a music romance about rock festival. https://m.blog.naver.com/topstars/220761522384 And the rest are as we knew, she was a script writer of 'Lucky Romance' which was adapted from a webtoon by Kim Dal-Nim. So I don't know how much freedom she had in doing this work and how much original story she had to maintain in the drama script. (As I didn't read that webtoon, so I don't have opinion to compare this). That's all for the facts I can find within given time. I hope 'One and Only Love' will be the work that 100% created from her using her experience in writing romance and music novel. Let's put our faith that she will write a wonderful script in this drama (and probably will win another award). Fighting !!!
  12. Oh I so agree And this is so rare in BL the actual " coming out " I thought that scene and those leading up to that admission were wonderful. I also think that at that same moment we all reflected on our own coming out story. It was refreshing to say the least. There is this question that floats through - how do we make this work inspire of the barriers ? Like you said, it's two people trying to connect. I love and respect this directors work. His storytelling skills cut deep and just bring you into what is going on. He really pulls the emotions out of the actors and puts them on the table. Yes, we always want more I think however it ends will be HE. This series is clearly in my rewatch column.

  15. @booha thanks for the information of SHY's new agency, King Kong by Starship. It sounds a familiar agency. Yes, hope we will see her soon in a new drama or movie. @namjiho @booha I was smiling to read your comments about the lingering feeling for the OTP . Yes, they seem suspicious Hard to dig anything for both of them and makes the viewers just speculate from A until Z The funny thing is that the female side which looks more mystic in my opinion. @namjiho Drawing is my abandoned hobby actually, but due to DJ and waiting for SHY comeback, it raises to my interest again ha ha ha.
  16. Kim Nam Gil Heads Down A Dark Path As “The Fiery Priest” Gets Closer To The Truth by C. Hong With one episode left until the finale, the characters of “The Fiery Priest” are getting closer to finding out the truth behind the murder. Spoilers In one set of stills released on April 19, Kim Nam Gil has taken off his priest vestments and is shown threatening someone with a gun. In previous episodes, his character, Kim Hae Il, could only watch as the priest Han Sung Kyu (Jeon Sung Woo) collapsed, bleeding, in front of him. Faced with the possibility of losing someone else close to him, after he had already lost the priest Lee Young Joon (Jung Dong Hwan), Kim Hae Il was on the verge of despair. Unable to watch people get hurt because of him, Kim Hae Il resolves to punish Lee Joong Kwon (Kim Min Jae). more https://www.soompi.com/article/1318764wpp/kim-nam-gil-heads-down-a-dark-path-as-the-fiery-priest-gets-closer-to-the-truth
