I wanted to respond to your post earlier @packmule3 but got distracted and annoyed by a very silly monkey on the tree who insisted on disrupting our lovely gathering here. Me really wondered if that monkey had stolen some liquor from the local shop and acting all inebriated... anyways, here are some of my thoughts below...

Episode 2 and 3

Since these two episodes were filmed in one day, I’ll treat them as a two-act play and rename it the Taming of the Shrewd. In the Shakespearean comedy, the very temperamental and shrewish heroine gets “tamed” by her husband. In this version, the street-smart Taecyeon gets tamed by our smarty-pants Guigui.

very apt description!

What I like:

1. The icebreaker. Whoever conceived of re-enacting Guigui’s favorite drama scenes is a genius! I don’t know if it’s the idea of the scriptwriter unnie or Guigui herself, but it relaxed the atmosphere between Taecgui and gave the audience plenty of hilarious views of Taec’s responses to extreme situations. I don’t know who he was trying to convince when he insisted that he was the boss. But when a 5’4, 99 lb girl could harass and hen-peck him, tug him to bed, spray him with perfume, pound him with a pillow, divebomb on his lap, and make him air-kiss her, with impunity, it’s a no-brainer:  He might be the boss, but she’s master of his universe. 

well he did admit that he was whipped... but the re-enactments was super awesome. I wondered how they picked the dramas they would enact. I didn't get the sense that she had actually watched the dramas. More like someone had shown her the clips from various dramas and asked her which ones she liked the best and would like to re-enact. it was also interesting that he had not been informed that that is what they were going to be doing. in most of the episodes, he seems to be given the instruction and she takes the cues from him on what they are going to be doing...

2. Her luggage. 

 her dowry showed us her true self the best of all. She’s a generous person…and a modest one to boot. Right, @lmofan? We love her for that.

so spot on.. I was actually impressed with what she brought. She must have really thought about it. She wanted to show some of her personality but also quite thoughtful that she brought gifts for her husband. They were more like her -- quirky and amusing -- but nonetheless they were gifts for him. She brought stuff that they could use as a couple. My favourite was the alien pajamas. I was trying to imagine her googling him and trying to figure out his height and ordering the alien pajamas in his size specifically.

2. Chicken. A guy coolly chopping off a chicken neck with a loud “twack!” looks manly....
probably a cultural thing but I never thought of a guy chopping a chicken as manly. the butchers at the market usually look tired and quite surly to be honest and their attractiveness, if they have any, is certainly not on display. unless you mean manly in that they have thick strong arms and could easily push you down like a fly, then sure, they are very manly.

2. Her eyes. Her eyes did grow big when she saw his gift. I’m glad that he noticed her eyes [ep 14, too, when he said the stuff toy they won at the shooting gallery had her big eyes] without feeling pressured to compliment her for her “beautiful” eyes each and every occasion...if you know what I mean. J  Taecgui fans have really simple, Victorian pleasures...we swoon over their eye contacts.  

I cracked up on "simple Victorian pleasures". We really do swoon over their eye contacts. But don't they say the eyes are windows to the soul?

You know @lmangla, you had asked how many times Hongki proposed; honestly, I stopped counting at three -- at the bridal shop, at the photo-shoot where he sang and used his shoes as props in the proposal, and at the small chapel in Okinawa. If we were to count only those proposals made verbally, then yes, Taecgui only had one proposal. But if we were to consider also those proposals made in deed, not just words, then I’d regard the jjanddori/silver shoes moment as their first, dry-run, proposal scene.

I understood Guigui’s intention when she had asked him to buy the shoes for her. The request wasn’t so much about the shoes per se, because she could afford to buy 10 pairs for herself if she wanted, but it was about her unvoiced questions: Are you, Taec, willing to take a walk in life with me? Taec, will you be generous enough of yourself, of your time, effort, and commitment, to make our next three months work? Do you like me enough, Taec, to grant me this favor? In essence, the shoes became the “objectification” of her unspoken fears. So, when he refused, I understood also her disappointment. In the literal sense of the word jjandori, Taec was a tightwad, a cheapskate, a Scrooge. But in the deeper, inexpressible level, she might have believed that Taec was going to be an emotionally stingy partner, the type of man to hoard one’s affection and to ration out small pieces of his heart. That was why the gift was such an unforgettable item for her and she referred to the moment as pivotal [technically, she said “Before shoes…After shoes,” like it was a historical event similar to B.C. and A.D.]. She had discovered then that she could put her faith in him.

For me, the jjandoori/silver shoes represented a significant milestone. It wasn’t an engagement ring nor was it a song-and-props fanfare, but as his first formal gesture to sweep her off her feet, he was successful in inviting her to trust him and his sincere intentions to do his best for their virtual marriage. It’s good enough of a proposal for this old gal.

Me too.  I would want someone to protect me rather than just good looking on the outside.  I couldn't stop laughing at the scene when Taec helped Guigui with the chicken.  Guigui was scared of his manly action but Taec said he's just cooking....he's not that scary...hahaha.  Even touching hands while chopping the chicken too.  =))

A true gentleman and as @Jaebin said it chivalrous husband.... <br />

Btw, I think when Guigui asked Kawangee during the wedding photoshoot about "Idol Can't Kiss?" made her understood the importance of the idol career that Koreans have.  Seulong added "do it somewhere no one can see" is like telling them only underground relationships.  That scene just gives me the impression that they might of have something special going on...but not showing it publicly.

On episode 8 where Taecyeon mentioned the YES/NO game I want to say my POV about that moment and also analyze Taecyeon's words and reaction..Let me first write down their conversation..

Taecyeon: "Remember when we did the photo..wedding photo?
GuiGui: "Uhuh"
Taecyeon: "My friends came over and you know how we played the YES/NO game.."
GuiGui: "Uh hmm.."
Taecyeon: "Do you remember?" and GuiGui laughed nervously "The question...I was hurt"
GuiGui: "I tell you the reasons because I'm in Taiwan and you in Korea. You're busy, I'm busy too. I think you don't have the time to remain in contact with me so I said no. I think about it a lot"
Taecyeon: "You thought about it a lot?" he paused for a while "So..."
GuiGui: "Because my heart wanna yes.."
Taecyeon: "So...what about now?"
GuiGui: "Now?...Yes.."
Taecyeon: "Yes? Are you sure about that decision? Are you sure?"
GuiGui: "Yes"
Taecyeon: "Okay"

In the black room interview he said "In my opinion trust is like an eraser if you keep using it, it goes away..when she said No last time, it's not like the eraser gets bigger, you know it gets smaller and smaller. When she said Yes it's "I'm gonna trust you", you know..it just doesn't work that but I wanted to give her one more chance maybe? That kind of feel..."

My opinion:
I think he was really hurt when GuiGui said No last time.. I mean if he just wanted to be nice to her and answered Yes before because he didn't want to offend her or maybe just for the show he shouldn't bring up the topic again but he didn't mention it just once but even twice. That means that he really cared about GuiGui's answer and that time he expected a Yes from her, probably because he also felt that they were starting to feel something special towards each other and a part of him wanted to continue what they've been slowly building even after the tv show. So he was taken aback by her sudden No because everything that he thought was probably one-sided.
On the other part I understand GuiGui's reasons, she's just being realistic and didn't want to deceive herself by having a long distance relationship which will be hard for both parties. Just what she said she's in Taiwan and Taec in Korea, their schedules will be always in conflict because both are so busy, so in the end he won't have time to contact her. We all know how hard is to maintain a long distance relationship, it needs a lot of effort and also a solid base of trust to continue and preserve it. She really thought about it a lot and didn't answered No last time just because at the other question before that Taec answered No as well.If you re-watch the episode you can notice how Taecyeon is watching GuiGui's reaction, his eyes just couldn't leave her face as he was studying her facial expression. At her Yes he asked twice if she was sure about her answer because he wanted to make sure that she was indeed telling the truth.
About the words that he said in the black room interview I think he means "Trust is like an eraser...it can erase all types of doubts in our minds but don't forget that it gets smaller after each mistakes.." so he basically thinks that she's lying and that she answered Yes just to please him. Even after GuiGui's explanation he still doubts about the sincerity of her answer that's why he mentioned the word trust because he really trusted her No back then which it leads me to think that he was deeply hurt by that particular moment.Taecyeon thinks that GuiGui should have answered Yes back then at the breaktime of the wedding photoshoot and after she could have said that even if she answered Yes it would have been difficult for both to make the relationship work because of the distance and also work. I think he was really expecting that. He preferred hearing her say Yes then tell her own reasons on why she thinks it will be hard to make it work instead of hearing her No and after that hear her explanation.
I think that GuiGui answered perfectly, I repeat she was just being realistic but unfortunately Taec was wounded by that answer.. So this is my POV, someone asked me to post it but it got so long...sorry ^^'

I just watch the Episode 1, 2 with Vietnamese Sub Title and the videos had a little bit more scenes and talks than the original full episode that release for us every Friday.  I believe this video release with different station broadcast and different day too.  They are longer too, only Episode 1 and 2 are different.  They subbed  only TaecGui part which is good. 

I don't know if any of you noticed before when you watch the full episode 2 every Friday or not but I watch the episode 2 with the link below, when Taec talk in the Back Room Interview about GuiGui trust him and show him her child pictures, he actually had TEARS in his eyes, Oh my goodness he moved, melted and touched by how GuiGui had trust him.  Oh GuiGui, you really know how to hammer Taec' heart.  Take a look at the Episode 2, part 2 at 12:51 minutes.  Oh so much more that they cut out not show for us to see in original episodes, after Episode 2 Vietnamese sub people not use the same video source where they get the raw video from like before that's why it so short.  Suppose to be over 30 minutes each episode for each couple I guess.

@JaeBin love your screencaps with Kwanghee. I just love how Guigui put her elbow on taec's thigh so naturally. And i saw an earlier pic her knee below his. I dunno somehow their natural skinships reminded me how the roots of tree intertwined slowly surely to form a solid foundation. Ok that may sound weird but it's very organic. GuiGui's 10 rules.....

 1-)  Always greet me with a big smile.
 2-)  Express your affection for me everyday by saying I LOVE YOU or give KISS on the forehead.
 3-)  Scratch my itchy spots (Back, Neck, or whenver ELSE)  (Dangerous GuiGui hahah, whenever else is where hahah??)
 4-)  The husband always help the wife with the house work.
 5-)  Enjoy every meal that the wife prepared for you and always thanks and praise her by saying it's delicious or my
       wife is the best.   (Now I know why Taec eat French Toast that his wife made he had to said very delicious and gave
       her 10 out of 10 points hahah.)
 6-)  Always have breakfast together.

 8-)  The husband should always apologize first whenever you get in to an argument.

Taec's 10 rules.....

 1-)  Share house work.
 2-)  Don't lie, be honest.   (Taec must had someone lie before that why he put this right at #2, he and GuiGui may
       have somebody lie before)
 3-)  Give at least 1 complement a day.
 4-)  Always keep your promises no matter what.
 5-)  Take care of your own business.
 6-)  Don't be a picky eater, enjoy every meal prepared for you. 
       (Taec asked GuiGui about what she didn't like to eat and GuiGui said Tomato sause, so he said you can not eat
       spaghetti but Taec test    GuiGui at Jeju when he proposed to her, he order Spaghetti if I'm not mistake, but GuiGui had no
       complaint just eat.)
 7-)  Acknowledge your mistake during fight.
 8-)  Don't force me to wake up.
 9-)  Don't force me to eat breakfast.
10-)  Keep a distance of 10 meters from me when I'm sick.

For some reason TaecGui's rule are very similar, I don't know if the PD give them the guidelines or not, if they just do by themselves they are thinking very much the same.
